This property was actually more than I expected. The photos do not truly capture the amazing and extensive view that literally changes everyday. The property was clean, well-maintained and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable retreat. We could not find a better view at any restaurant so we prepared several meals on-site, which was made easy because the kitchen was fully functional. This place is very quiet and peaceful. If you are looking for a slower pace, tranquil retreat, this is for you. Activities close at hand are hiking, sitting on the beach, snorkeling, golf, drive along the coast and shopping.

This was our second trip back to Maui and in less than a year(yes, we like it that much), and the first time we stayed in this condo. Karen was extraordinarily helpful in answering all of our questions about the property, and even left us a wonderful basket of goodies when we arrived. The condo was well appointed and very clean, but the charm of this condo was the view. The owner took advantage of the corner location, and opened up the main living area(kitchen/living room/dining room) into a wide sweeping view of the Pacific and surrounding islands. Truly spectacular. The home has two lanais, which we used for most meals, and happy hour each evening while watching the sun sink into the ocean. Full disclosure: We do not like to be in the middle of the action, so the location and secluded nature of this complex suits my family well. The grounds are a stunning maze of plants, trees, and flowers and the two beaches are beautiful. We saw multiple wedding parties using the beach locations for their pictures. We also snorkeled each morning right in front of the complex and saw an abundance of sea life: eels, fish, and our favorites, the honu(turtles). With that said, Kihei is only 10 minutes away, and Lahaina around 25-30 minutes. We will definitely return.

Dear Karen, I just wanted to send you a quick email to tell you (and the owners) how much we enjoyed our stay at Makena Surf F-204. We have stayed three other times at Makena Surf in the past two years. The F-204 unit was far and above nicer in quality and furnishings than the other units we have rented. The views with windows on two sides were spectacular and the unit felt very spacious. We greatly appreciated having a full supply of things like toilet paper, paper towel, laundry detergent, dishwashing soap etc. The complete supply of dishes, pots and pans, cooking utensils and nice appliances was great as we cook in quite a bit when we are in Hawaii. I hope that we are fortunate enough to return to Makena Surf again next year. Thank you so much for your helpfulness and prompt responses to me as well. Sincerely, Beth
