This cabin has an option to be rented as a 3 Bedroom and 3 Bath for an additional charge. We have Free Long Distance Calling, High Speed wireless Internet,
Cable TV including HBO, and a security system all through Comcast.

'A Walk In the Clouds', also known as 'Dodgin' Reality' suits both names. Sitting up on beautiful Bluff Mountain, You can easily dodge the real world and problems by staying at 'A Walk In The Clouds' on your vacation or honeymoon. The view is awesome and there are times you ARE actually above the clouds. Sitting on the cabin's porch you can look out over the Smokies, you can see Mt. LaConti by day and at night sitting in the hot tub you can see the beautiful lights of Pigeon Forge.

Sometimes you might see turkeys walking down the street or playing in the yard. Rocky the raccoon likes to make his presence known at night, especially if he smells food. We also have had a Beautiful Black Bear that has been seen walking down the street, but he doesn't seem to one to make his presence known when are there, so I can't actually say I've seen him. We have seen deer in the daytime just up the street. Beautiful Rainbows have been seen after a good rain.

The view alone is worth the price, but the cabin itself is also worth it. The cabin is very comfortable. You have everything you need to make you feel right at home. The theme and decor of the cabin is bears and Indians. Everywhere you look you will see bears. The beds are very comfortable with King size Pillow Top Mattresses and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need to make an elaborate meal to a simple meal. There is also a barbeque grill if you want to have a cookout. During the colder months, enjoy sitting in front of a cozy fire made with the real thing (firewood). And the firewood is furnished. Or enjoy sitting in the hot tub and just relax.

We have a journal that the guest use to journal their experiences. One of our guest started the dollar game, where clues are given to where the dollar is hidden and the next guests have a great time trying to find it. You can just sit on the deck and read your favorite book, or get a Danielle Steele book from the cabin.

Or you can just sit and enjoy God's beauty. You won't be disappointed. Sit back and enjoy a hot cup of coffee or cocoa and just soak in the beauty around you. You will be amazed at all you see and hear.

If sitting is not your thing and you want something to do, enjoy a game of pool while viewing the beautiful Smokies from the dormer windows in the loft. Or go to the basement for a game of darts, cards, or board games. There are also video games, or just watch a DVD. You won't get bored at 'A Walk In The Clouds'.

We also decorate inside and outside the cabin for Christmas starting the middle of November thru December. So get in the holiday spirit and reserve your dates now. These dates usually fill up quickly, so don't wait too long. Come enjoy Winterfest and do some Christmas Shopping at the outlets.

There are so many things you can do in the surrounding area of 'A Walk In The Clouds'. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are just minutes from the cabin. Cades Cove is a treat in itself. See bear, deer, turkey or horseback ride. Go to Cherokee and see Harrah's Casino, or the famous outdoor show 'Unto These Hills'. Hike the many trails through out the area and see water falls. Walking sticks are furnished at the cabin.

There is no way to mention everything there is to do in the Smokies, but you don't have to do a thing to enjoy this vacation. Just pack a bag of clothes and some food and enjoy the peace and quite of the cabin and the nature around you.

Because we are on Bluff Mountain a four wheel drive is recommended and good tires are a must when the weather is bad. It is impossible to get up if there is ice on the road unless you have chains. There is just a very short distance that is steep, but it is slippery when wet. It is so worth the trouble though when you get to the cabin.

Reserve your vacation today. 'A Walk In The Clouds' is Home Away From Home and we tried to make it just that for everyone that visits there. We ask for your comments in our journal that sits on the living room table and any suggestions you might have to make it better. Also, make comments on this website for other potential guests to read.

Thanks for checking us out. Hope you will make 'A Walk In The Clouds' your next destination. You won't be sorry!

The location was excellent and had beautiful views off the wrap around porch. Advice: you definitely need 4 wheel drive because the incline is steep and quite slick when raining! The cabin had everything you could possibly need when staying away from home. The property was pretty clean (some dust on the mantle and under coffee table but as far as I am concerned it felt like home) but overall it was great. The beds were very comfortable and our boys loved the gameroom, pool table, and hot tub. The dollar game kept them entertained our first evening there and they enjoyed hiding them for the next guests. Noel was very helpful when we were booking and answered all our questions promptly. I would definitely recommend this location. Thanks Noel for the wonderful vacation and we hope to come back soon!

Owner response: Thank you so much for your review. Very sorry about the dust. I will question my housekeeper about that. Normally she keeps it exceptionally clean. Thanks for letting me know though. Hope to hear from you again.

My friends and I had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was perfect for a weekend trip away from the business of work. We enjoyed the close proximity of shopping and the free wine tastings. Also the hot tub and pool table were a wonderful way to relax at the end of the day. Thanks!

I haven't stopped thinking about this special cabin and its views, since leaving 10/5/12. I was in awe everyday with the spectacular views and the serenity all around us. We enjoyed visiting Pigeion Forge and Gatlinburg a couple of times while there, we especially enjoyed Cades Cove, we had 6 bear sightings a hugh buck, and some wild turkey, of course, we were always ready to be back at "A Walk in the Clouds", and would definitely recommend, in fact we would love to be welcomed back to bring our children and grandchildren. Thank you Noel and JP for sharing your beautiful cabin with my brother, sister-in-law, John, and myself, everything far exceeded my expectations.....Thank you!

I have to say, I was very impressed with my stay at A Walk In The Clouds. Driving up the hill, seeing the other cabins, I thought this one the stand out. The landscaping was exceptional, already decorated for Halloween! I took two friends with me and we had ALL the comforts of home. It was immaculately clean - even the decks! I didn't see a cobweb or a spiderweb on the deck! We enjoyed the very hot hot tub. It was fabulous. The WiFi worked beautifully, the cable worked beautifully - the kitchen is loaded with everything you could possibly need as far as cooking utensils. We made chili in the crock pot - We were so close to all the fun things to do in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, yet the cabin sits in a little town with a grocery store, bakery, hardware store, etc. You feel so UP in the mountains, yet have access to everything you could possibly need. I did not want to leave.

Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind words Deborah and the thank-you note you sent us was sooooo impressive. You will have to teach me how to do that. It really meant a lot to us that you took the time to do something like that and I will keep it. I will scrapbook it and treasure it and your kind words forever. Thanks for this wonderful review and we hope you will spread the word to all your friends and family. We count on returns and word of mouth and try to do everything we possibly can to ensure that. Thanks again. Noel

From the moment we arrived to the cabin we enjoyed the jacuzzi, the pool table, sitting on the swing porch taking in the beautiful scenery and just taking it easy. The sleeping arrangements were perfect! Two bedrooms with king beds and a sofa sleeper in the basement (great place for kids). I was also pleased with the hospitable owner. They were accommodating and great to work with. I would recommend this cabin to anyone. And there is a reason they call it a walk in the clouds...we woke up our last morning and were in the clouds...lovely!

Owner response: Thank you for your kind words. We love reviews like this. Hope you will return soon. Noel

This cabin is awesome! Our stay was a trip for two sisters with our daughters and granddaughters. We ranged in age from 10 months to late 50s. The cabin was perfect for all of us! The Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg and Cherokee, North Carolina area offers tons of activities all ages as a group and individuals. We will definitely return! Thank you for allowing us to share your beautiful cabin!

The cabin was peaceful, quiet, and well laid out. The views are great. The large parking area was very nice and spacious. We felt so relaxed and comfortable in the cabin, we didn't want to leave. I have always had a hard time taking vacations, but after our stay, I am looking forward to more. This is a very nice cabin and I recommend anyone looking into a stay here to give it a try. You won't regret it.

Owner response: Thanks so much. I too love the peacefullness and the time of relaxation when we go to our cabin. We are very proud of the parking area, beings that a lot of the cabins we stayed in had no parking area at all. Hope you will return and tell your family and friends about our "Walk in the Clouds"!

I've been to this cabin a couple of times before with my parents, my kids, & brother's family. This trip I went back for my wedding/honeymoon. I went back here simply because I knew what to expect...and that just makes things a lot easier when you've already got so many other things to take care of! Knowing exactly where I would be, knowing about the space we had (some family was with us the first 2 nights for the wedding), and knowing that I had absolutely nothing to worry about with this cabin was a huge thing for me. The owners & I communicated regularly through email. They were always great about answering questions & responding quickly. Extremely nice folks! Never met them personally, but feel like I already know them. They were wonderful to work with/rent from! It was just as I remembered from before. It's always been very nice. Plenty of privacy, yet not too far away from town...it only took about 10 minutes to get to the cabin off the main drag in Pigeon Forge. The views off both the front & back are just breathtaking! I would definitely recommend this cabin! We plan to return to Pigeon Forge next year & plan to come back to this same cabin. Recommendations as far as things to do: When you get to Pigeon Forge, go ahead & try to decide what shows/dinner shows/etc you want to attend & book the day before. They usually are booked up pretty quickly. Dixie Stampede is always good. We also went to the Comedy Barn for the first time this year. It was hilarious! Really good show & great for the family...good & clean fun! There are so many good restaurants as well. Our favorite is Bullfish Grill. It's not the cheapest, but I promise it's worth every penny! Big Daddy's Pizzeria is very good for pizza. Lots of choices...great pizza!! I would say to go to the one on the Sevierville side (going towards Walmart). It's not quite as congested in that area around the restaurant. Also...go to light #7 Old Mill Rd. There's a neat little shopping/browsing area back there. Pottery, jewelry, candy kitchen, jams/jellies, ice cream shop, Old Mill Restaurant...pretty neat stuff in those shops!

Owner response: WOW! What can I say? We love reviews like this one and repeats. Thank you so much for the awesome review. Look forward to coming back for every anniversary and times in between. Noel

We had a great time - my children ( between ages 6 & 13) all loved it and called it our home away from home. I was pleased that the home is equipped with items such as hair /blow dryer ( I forgot ours...). It is in a peaceful / quiet location but close enough to "the action" to be convenient to shop or go to local attractions. My 6 year yr old looked out the window at the view of the upstairs bedroom and said "this house has AMAZING horizons." I think we would probably use the third bedroom downstairs which we didn't this time to give us a little more room for the kids. They loved the pool table upstairs and enjoyed the variety of games (video & board kinds) in the downstairs "playroom". The only complaint I would have is that since my family doesn't play Foosball the Foosball table gave less space in the downstairs area but the kids didn't seem to notice. My daughter and I had fun preparing food in the kitchen for meals. The bedrooms are cozy and everything is clean and comfy. We enjoyed a visit to the Smokey Mountains Park / Cades Cove. On our next visit we hope to go to the Wonder Works museum, the Titanic museum , and much more of the Smoky Mtn Park. We loved our visit and look forward to the next one at "Walk In The Clouds"!

Owner response: Just wanted you to know, we removed the foosball table. We moved the sleeper sofa down there, but at least you don't have those handles bumping into you. Hope you like the changes. Noel

We had a total of 6 people on our family vacation and what wonderful time that was had by all of us! The cabin was absolutely perfect. We did open up the second bedroom downstairs and it was such a comfortable stay for all of us. The beds were so comfy. The view was breathtaking and it was very close to Pigeon Forge as we were doing Dollywood and Splash Country! My sister and I said we want to come back next year but must book for a week long stay. It was that wonderful! Thank you so very much!!!

About the owner: Hi, this is my husband J.P and me (Noel), We are the owners of 'A Walk In The Clouds'. We love being in the mountains as often as we can, but in our spare time, we love ballroom dancing and motorcycle riding. I also like to scrapbook with my Croppin Cuties. We belong to 4 Dance Clubs, 'The Concordia, The Cheramis and The Vikings, and The Club.' We both still work. J.P. is a process manager for U.S. Steel and I'm a bookkeeper for a real estate firm. We live in Vestavia Hills, AL which is right outside of Birmingham. We have 3 children between us and 1 grand-daughter, Madison and we do think she is grand. She makes our hearts melt. We are Christians and belong to First Baptist Church of Irondale. We are leading the Single's group at our Church and are very blessed through this ministry. God has been so good to us and we give Him the Glory for everything in our life. We love being with our Family and Friends. Every chance we get though you will find us at the cabin doing things to it that will make our guest comfortable and happy.

Why the Owner Chose Pigeon Forge:
My husband and I bought this property in October 2002. Because of all the rain, it was slow building, but finally had it ready to rent July 2003. We have always been beach fans and when my brother-in-law asked us about doing this investment, we more or less just went along for the ride, never dreaming it would be something we would want to do. We fell in love with the mountains and the cabin life the first trip we made to look at the property and just love it more and more everytime we go up. It is close enough to everything to be convenient, but yet far enough away to avoid alot of the traffic and noise. We love our cabin and God has truly blessed us with our vacation home (A Walk In The Clouds) and we hope each guest that visits there will feel the same.

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
We don't have a swimming pool at the cabin, but Pigeon Forge Community Center is 5.26 miles away. They have a nice outdoor pool with a charge of only $2.00 per child and $2.50 per adult. Guest can also purchase a day pass for $6.00 to use the Community Center which offers all kinds of things including an indoor pool and work-out center or $20 for the whole week. We are also close to all of the Outlets and many shows. There are many things close by to do, but staying at the cabin itself can be plenty of fun. We get Season Passes to Dollywood, because we just love going there and walking through. We never get tired of Cades Cove. But I would be perfectly happy staying at the cabin, sitting on the deck and enjoying God's Beauty.
