Nestled in an aspen grove on two acres of land between Lost Creek Wilderness and the forest edge of South Park, the Mountain Home takes you away to a place like no other. Expansive, breath taking, high mountain views of Pike National Forest and the Retirement Range fill every room of this spectacular home. It is the perfect destination property for family friends and business associates.
Well appointed with old west decor, the great room is the heart of the home. With its floor to ceiling windows, book filled book case, game table and dark leather furniture around a 17 foot natural stone fireplace it's the perfect place to gather at the end of a fun filled day. The full kitchen with granite counter tops, free standing island and antique oak table for 12 complete this wonderful room.
The bedrooms, with new mattresses and designer linens, are located on either side of the great room. One stands alone with a king size bed, private bath and private outdoor deck.
The other two, on the opposite side, share a bath area with sink outside a room with a tub, toilet and free standing shower. The larger bedroom holds a king size bed, a twin size bunk bed, a pull out twin size trundle and a twin size futon. The smaller bedroom has a twin size bunk bed and a twin size pull out trundle.
A natural redwood deck expands across the front of the Mountain Home and is filled with seating areas to view the daily wildlife and the star filled nights. A smaller, covered deck features a wooden swing, dining table with chairs and a gas grill to fire up for the catch of the day.
Each guest is afforded access to fifteen miles of private fresh water fly fishing on the meandering Tarryall River as well as access to the area's three private ponds. High mountain hiking and biking trails are just outside the front door as is a hammock for that afternoon nap.
Horseback and hay rides, boating and river rafting, ghost towns and golf, restaurants, antiques and shopping are in places nearby.
And in the middle of it all is a place like no other. Come, relax and enjoy the Mountain Home.
