This professionally designed retreat has an open great room with vaulted ceilings, wood beams and stone fireplace. The great room features custom lighting, a flat screen television with DVD player, Bose stereo, and many natural details to make you feel at home. Additionally, it offers dining for six and a spacious living room, which opens onto the screened porch. The well-appointed kitchen and stainless steel gas grill provide the perfect combination for a night of entertaining or a nice meal with the family. For those who prefer some quiet time or like to make the most of a rainy day, choose a book from the library to read in the leather chairs, play board games or browse the wireless internet from any location you choose. This cabin boasts two master suites, each with its own balcony, king-sized bed, LCD/DVD television and private bathroom. Each room features egyptian cotton sheets, warm quilts and down comforters. If additional sleeping space is needed, the queen size sleeper sofa in the great room is also very comfortable.
For the adventuresome, white water rafting, fishing, mountain biking and repelling are close by. If you are in search of an easy day trip, take a hike up to Whiteside Mountain or nearby Glen Falls. The house is wonderfully decorated and very cozy which made us feel at home instead of at someone else's house. You can tell they have thought of everything from things to do, places to see and owner even put in a few of their favorites which was nice since we had never been there. We took our 3 small kids and they had a blast! Very good location to town, food and trails. Will be going back and owners were easy to work with and very accomidation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We just spent four wonderful days at Camp Carlee. Wish it could have been longer. Everything was first class and we wanted for nothing. We like to cook and found everything we needed in the very well-equipped kitchen. The decor is so perfect for a cabin, yet again, first class in every aspect. We have been visiting Highlands for many years, staying at Inns locally, now we feel we have a new "home" to go to when we visit our favorite mountain town. We will be back. Thank you Georgia and David for sharing your wonderful mountain home with us!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.

We truely enjoyed Camp Carlee. What a beautiful home with many loving touches. It has a great screened in porch that makes you feel like your in the trees. Our pup enjoyed it too and we were so happy to have a been allowed to bring her. Thanks againRecommended for: Tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Camp Carlee is an incredible "cabin in the woods". Extremely comfortable with two king size beds and TVs in each room. The designer details add to the overall beauty of the home. Several extras added to the comfort of our stay. Just to name a few were books, movies, games and a well appointed kitchen. All the comforts of home and more!Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

I haven't been back to Highlands since September 2006 when my husband proposed to me. I decided to surprise him with a romantic getaway for Valentines. When I saw your home on VRBO... I know it was the perfect choice. It's beautiful and lacking nothing! I feel completely at home. The decor is perfect. Thank you for opening your home to us! Although we are not able to spend as much time as we would like in Highlands, that leaves more time available for guests to stay at our cabin.
