The well-appointed kitchen and stainless steel gas grill provide the perfect combination for a night of entertaining or a nice meal with the family. For those who prefer some quiet time or like to make the most of a rainy day, choose a book from the library to read in the leather chairs, play board games or browse the wireless internet from any location you choose. This cabin boasts two master suites, each with its own balcony, king-sized bed, LCD/DVD television and private bathroom. Each room features egyptian cotton sheets, warm quilts and down comforters. If additional sleeping space is needed, the queen size sleeper sofa in the great room is also very comfortable.
For the adventuresome, white water rafting, fishing, mountain biking and repelling are close by. If you are in search of an easy day trip, take a hike up to Whiteside Mountain or nearby Glen Falls. Our family has been coming to Highlands, NC for years and in 2008 we decided to purchase a property for friends and family to enjoy. We have since opened our cabin to those interested in experiencing the beautiful scenery and breathing in the fresh mountain air. Four distinct seasons and plentiful ammenities allow Highlands, NC to provide something for everyone. From quaint shops and restaurants to numerous outdoor activities; we know that you will have a truly fantastic time here.

Festive storefronts and the aroma of fine cuisine await you in this charming mountain town.
Within walking distance of the Cabin is a beautiful series of several waterfalls on the East Fork of Overflow Creek. Bring your camera!
The perfect place to relax and watch the ducks and geese swim about after lunch.
Highlands Country Club was founded in 1898 by several prominent New Yorkers who had homes in the Hudson Highlands. They established the Club for the sports, recreation and socializing interests.
Bridal Veil is easy to find. Just look for the sign on U.S. 64, 2.5 miles west of Highlands in the Cullasaja Gorge. Bridal Veil Falls is unique because you can drive your car right underneath it!
Dry Falls flows over an overhanging bluff that allows visitors to walk up under the falls and remain relatively dry when the waterflow is low, hence its name.
A short 1/2-hour walk, about 0.6 miles one way, leads to a natural cliff-side amphitheater where slabs of granite provide front row seats for beautiful sunsets over Highlands & Brushy Face Mountain.

Currently living and working in northwest Florida, we often find our minds wandering to the mountains of western North Carolina. Although we are not able to spend as much time as we would like in Highlands, that leaves more time available for guests to stay at our cabin. Camp Carlee is an incredible "cabin in the woods". Extremely comfortable with two king size beds and TVs in each room. The designer details add to the overall beauty of the home. Several extras added to the comfort of our stay. Just to name a few were books, movies, games and a well appointed kitchen. All the comforts of home and more!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I haven't been back to Highlands since September 2006 when my husband proposed to me. I decided to surprise him with a romantic getaway for Valentines. When I saw your home on VRBO... I know it was the perfect choice. It's beautiful and lacking nothing! I feel completely at home. The decor is perfect. Thank you for opening your home to us! We are thing of making this a yearly trip!
