Loved the Apartment and Neighborhood

Guest: Tom (Scottsdale, AZ)
Date of Stay: 05/25/11 Review Submitted: 07/05/11

My wife and I spent four weeks here in May/June 2011 and would certainly return due to the overall fit of conveniences (dishwasher especially), and nearby shopping, cinema, restaurants, and transportation. We love to ride the bus and there are six lines we used a lot as well as three metro lines to choose from. The 15th arrondissement is wonderful and its nearby mairie provided atmosphere and activities. We miss the patisserie/boulangerie just a minute away on the corner. The apartment is quiet, light, and spacious. We will be showing great photos of it and the neighborhood to envious friends and relatives now!

An excellent short-term home for our family.

I had the opportunity to stay at this wonderful apartment for a week in May of 2011 with my wife and 3 year old child. We all had a wonderful time here. The neighborhood is so convenient, with nearby shopping offering fresh food (bread, cheese, fish, etc.) right around the corner, along with a large modern supermarket. The apartment is a short walk (about 10 minutes) from many different metro stations, and if you plan your trip right you can get anywhere in Paris with a direct link or a single transfer from one of those lines. Most attractions are just a few metro stops (or a nice walk) from the apartment. We would take the metro to the Eiffel Tower and other attractions, and often walk back. Having a separate room with a pull-out couch allowed our little girl to sleep in her own room, and if she went to sleep early, we could stay in the dining room or the extra bedroom without disturbing her. Travelling with a kid, the apartment made it possible to continue our typical weekly routine, with the ability to grab fresh food (a half-block away) for breakfast, explore parks and playgrounds and museums and come back for a nap before going to dinner. There is a wonderful little park in the neighborhood with a playground, a merry-go-round and a popular green area where families like to do picnics. There are larger parks in Paris, but this one had more of a neighborhood feel, and it is populated with families from the neighborhood. The owner gave us great instructions on how to use everything, and when there was any question about how to handle something, he was available by e-mail. Everybody in the building and the neighborhood was very friendly to us. We loved the apartment and loved Paris and hope to return again sometime soon.

Great Paris Apartment!

My family (two adults and a one year old) recently stayed at this property and would definitely recommend it. We liked the fact that we could use the dining room as the baby's room at night since there were doors to close it off completely. We rented a portacrib from a third party company (baby'tems). Everything was clean and well-maintained. The photos and floor plan diagram are very accurate. We loved this neighborhood. Perfect for families. Communication with the owner was quick easy and clear. He was great to work with. We would recommend this property without hesitation to our family and friends.

LOVE THIS PERFECT PARIS APARTMENT

Guest: Cares (Pacific Grove, Ca. USA)
Date of Stay: 10/01/09 Review Submitted: 02/14/11

My sister-in-law and I stayed in the apt. the month of Oct. 2009. It is a wonderful location. With bus lines just a short block away,(they take you everywhere in Paris,) and the metro line at the next block. A lovely walk to the Eiffel Tower, and the rue de Commerce, with its many shops, restaurants, a family neighborhood. Parks around the corner, a nice walk to the Invilades or short bus ride. The neighborhood has everything, fish mkts., outdoor mkts., a movie theatre. Short bus rides to the Louvre, Notre Dame, Ile St.Louis. Actually the buses take you everywhere in Paris. The property is extremely clean and well appointed, with lovely furniture and antiques. It is home away from home, with plenty of linens, everything needed for cooking. A nice dining room with large table. Bedroom is large, as is the living room. Beds are very comfortable. It was very helpful to have a washing machine. And the bathroom was nice and large. I would highly recommend this property to friends and relatives. The owners have provided books, maps, and directions. It is peaceful and very calm. We enjoyed it so much, it is the first place we check for availability. The owners have thought of everything. You feel honored to be living in their home.

Feels like home

Guest: Steve (Palo Alto California)
Date of Stay: 03/19/10 Review Submitted: 02/13/11

I’ve stayed at the apartment 6 or 7 times, so it always feels like returning home. The 15th is a bit remote but there are three Metro stations nearby so it’s easy to get anywhere in Paris. The Eiffel Tower and Invalides are walkable. The location is on a quiet street with a great street market (and supermarket) nearby on Lacourbe. Other amenities are a nearby newsstand for the Harold Tribune, a bakery at on the corner, ATMs nearby, and a Laundromat for drying. Highly recommended.

GREAT location! Loved the neighborhood.Good beds. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was small but still usable. It was so nice to cook breakfast there before leaving for the day. Also nice was the little washing machine and the lines over the bathtub to dry. You can see the top part of the Eiffel tower from the living room if you stick your head out the window. The metro was a close walk through a pretty little children's park. Lots of shops and markets around. We stayed at this apartment and felt like we were living in Paris, walking to the markets (just around the block). The apartment came with a small cart to shop with, very handy. We would like to stay here again. So much better than a hotel room.
