Lazym Mountain Cabin Getaway
Year Purchased: 1994
Why the Owner Chose Gardiner
We choose this location because of it's proximity to Yellowstone Park and the beautiful scenery of Paradise Valley while allowing us quiet seclusion when needed. We enjoy hiking, fishing and both downhill and cross country skiing.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Sitting on the porch or deck you have a wonderful view of Cinnabar mountain. At night you can sleep with the sound of the creek flowing by and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Our cabin was built in the 1950's and we have tried to preserve it's original charm. We have white pine floors in the main cabin and rustic kitchen cabinets.
There has been a large herd of Big Horn Sheep who have been seen almost daily along Old Yellowstone Road.
Owner's Map of Gardiner
Paul and I purchased our property in 1994 after looking for a number of years. My great grandfather had owned a general store next to the Crow Indian reservation in the 1890's. My grandmother grew up in Anaconda, Montana. We have always enjoyed the landscape and dry mountain air of Montana. Paul and I had vacationed for many years in Yellowstone National Park before we purchased the LazyM.

Clean, quaint and truly a cabin. Tucked into a little valley with a crystal creek, this is the best little cabin we've ever rented in Paradise. Not one but three stoves to keep you warm, a sweet bed and nice little deck looking over the creek. Beautiful area to cross-country ski or hike around. Enjoyed meeting Paul and Bubs. See you next year!

My wife and I and our yellow lab stayed here over Memorial Day in 2010. This place is awesome! Nice new deck. Stream. Cozy and remote. If you want to get away from it all this is it! Close to Yellowstone. Lots of elk nearby. We will be back!
Owner response:Thanks so much for the nice review! It is really helpful for new guests. Emily

My husband and I truly loved staying at the Lazy Mountain. It was clean and comfortable and well supplied and made our stay enjoyable. Close enough to Yellowstone National Park, Bozeman and grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants but far enough out to truly feel like we were way out west! The drive to the cabin along Cinnabar Basin Rd. is beautiful. Thanks Paul and Emily!

We stayed for three nights with our two teenagers. Very clean and nicely maintained cabin. Roomy with good quality linens and kitchenware. Location was beautiful and close to Yellowstone and Gardiner. Quiet. Paul and Jack were friendly and hospitable. Would definitely stay again if we return to the area.
