  We were so fortunate to have been able to stay at Owl Hill Cottage. We stayed for a week while visiting family in Sebastopol and the location couldn't have been more convenient.... allowing us to be minutes from the center of town, yet able to enjoy the peaceful country surroundings of the property. The cottage was just as the it was pictured - clean, well maintained and well stocked (ample linens, kitchen items, etc -- even had a great assortment of toys for our 5 and 7 year old :-). The owner was very accessible during our stay for questions/issues... we had a small mishap with the garbage disposal and she had someone there to fix it within a few hours.

  We found this home very comfortable and clean. The grounds are beautifully wooded. This is a quiet, relaxing and charming home to stay at with all the amenities we needed in the middle of wine country.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

  Our 2nd visit to this charming cottage was as nice as the 1st. Everything that you might need is there and in a lovely setting even in the winter. (1st stay was in the summer) The listing photos and description are as it is so you won't be disappointed. I would definitely recommend this cottage to my friends and family if they want to be in the center of the wine country.

  Our family really enjoyed staying at Owl Hill. It was very peaceful and relaxing! The grounds are beautiful, and my boys loved exploring. The house is very well stocked. It's a great place for the price. It is also a very good location..not far from Bodega Bay, Redwoods, and Santa Rosa. Dawn was very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and would stay there again if we come back to the area.

  great for children! the cottage had fun games, toys, videos and books for our 3year old. as a chef, i enjoyed the well stocked professional kitchen. we will definitely be back!

  We stayed at Owl Hill Cottage for a week. We loved the location - very close to everything we wanted to do: Borega Bay, Armstrong Woods, Russian River, Sebastopol. Sebastopol has loads to offer a family - farmers market, Ives outdoor swimming pool, etc. The cottage has everything you need. It has a great layout and feels very spacious. We enjoyed cooking on the gas stove and eating outdoors with the beautiful surroundings. We would recommend this property and will mostly likely come again in a few years.

  We rented Owl Hill for a week that we all would be working at the Tribal Festival in Sebastopol. It was cheaper that hotel rooms for six people and the setting was very relaxing and peaceful, it was easy to find and yet felt like we were far away from the hubub. All of the appliances and amenities worked as expected, there was plenty of hot water and towels. The place is clean and well kept. No complaints. We are coming back next year!

  We spent a few days in Owl Hill Cottage to prepare for the Big Sur Marathon. The hills were great for running, the gardens enchanting, the animals abundant (a bobcat one morning!). The owner was very helpful. We took many day trips from this central location. If you love privacy, this is the place for you.

  Thanks so much for a blissful stay! The location was perfect: just far enough from town to feel removed, but close enough for easy access, on a pastoral lane full of emu, sheep, goats, horses and chickens. The cottage was super cute and perfectly equipped. Thanks again for all you did to make my stay so pleasant.

  Owl Hill was a perfect choice for a family Christmas. We have family in Sebastopol and Petaluma so it was fun to host Christmas in our own cozy cottage (and then sleep in our own bed). Very cold outside so the fireplace was wonderful and with the well equipped kitchen and lots of extra chairs we were able to all gather for dinner. Grandkids found toys in every room and enjoyed walking the paths in the garden. The property is perfect for wandering, I would love to see the pond when it has water in it. Cozy beds and all the comforts of home. Great place to go wine tasting and lots of great restaurants around too. Surrounded by redwoods and about 30 minutes from the ocean, this would be a perfect spot for you to get the feeling of the real California.
