  This is our second stay at Pelican's Nest and we love it. It is so convenient and just perfect for us. We help a reunion (50 years) for my husband's college friends. It was just perfect for a group to gather and visit. The home is so clean and well appointed. Of course, the view is wonderful. I did a great deal of meal preparation but I still got to enjoy the spectacular view of the pacific ocean. I really appreciated the fenced yard so our little doxie could join us. She loves the ocean and is so relaxed there. Thank you.

  What a beautiful welcoming house! The first thing we noticed was the ease of entering the home. No stairs! Drive in the garage and go right into the home. The house is beautiful with cedar walls, lots of windows and large skylights and high ceilings upstairs. Even on days that were foggy the house was still bright inside. We could look out of the windows without having a house right up against us and felt quite private the whole time. Even the fenced courtyard seemed private and peaceful. We had a nice BBQ and enjoyed the outside table and seating. The setup of the home made it easy to bring food right from the kitchen to the patio. Our dogs loved the patio area too. So easy to let them out when they had to "go". Also, the views of the ocean were spectacular. Bring binoculars as we saw whales from the deck upstairs! Open the windows in the living room and you can hear the waves crashing! All of the rooms are large and spacious so you don't feel crowded and there is room enough for a large family. The beach access is so close, just steps away and we felt we had the beach all to ourselves. Great tidepools to the left with lots of colorful seastars and anenomies. The dogs LOVED the beach, the yard and the Pelican's Nest and so did we. We'll be back! Thanks Deborah and Bruce

  We made a semi-last minute reservation and the owners of the property were so helpful, starting the trip off right! The first night we arrived it was late at night and it was really dark out, so we didn't get a chance to explore the grounds, which made the next morning even better! The sunrise was stunning from the second floor. We sat around, drank a morning cup of coffee and enjoyed watching the waves crash right from the living room. There are large windows from all sides of the home (you literally do not have to turn a light on in the home-the window/sky lights are stunning), as well as two balconies, one of which you can sit and watch the waves. The beach access is about a 2 minute walk away (maybe shorter). We took our dogs and they ran their hearts out. The beach appeared to be semi-private, as we were down there for hours on end exploring and only ran into a few people. An added bonus for the dogs, was the gated back yard, they were able to go in and out without worry. At night, we sat around the fireplace, played games, laughed and made some wonderful memories. It was a weekend of healing for my family and we were blessed to get to spend it in such a unique and cozy home. Thank you Deborah and Bruce for opening your home to us. It was a weekend we all really needed and we were blessed to be able to call it home, even if for just three days. :)

  This was our second time in Bandon, but the first time at this home. We are from Southern California and this time we were joined by family from Washington for an early Thanksgiving. Total 6 adults ranging in age from 19 to 88, and three, yes three, dogs! Room enough for everyone. The owners are so incredibly generous with respect to allowing dogs, they even left a little doggie goody-bag for us. The small fenced area is perfect for them to go outside, and the walk to the beach could hardly be closer or easier. We previously stayed at a home that was literally on the beach, but frankly, even though this place is not technically on the beach, it is just a small easy stroll away, you don't even notice the difference. We all loved how there was enough space for everyone without feeling crowded, and the well-stocked and open kitchen area was perfect for our meals, including a full-fledged turkey dinner. The upstairs living area is comfy and great for TV, games, or just looking at the ocean. The master bedroom was truly lovely with 8 foot skylights. (There are other similarly great skylights in the house as well.) The real charm came at night, looking up lying in bed, and seeing all the stars! A real treat. Everyone agreed the beds were super-comfy. The only downside to this place is the master bathroom; it's really spacious and pretty but there is some problem with the flooring that requires one to be ultra-careful with water on the floor or bath tile to avoid it leaking into the downstairs TV room. But this was a minor inconvenience for us and didn't detract from the stay at all. We would definitely stay here again and have some great memories for the family.

  Besides having great Oct weather, it was a very nice place to stay. Only our family stayed, but with all three bedrooms in separate parts of the house, one could have three families.

  Most of the reviews speak to the home itself, which we found to be very light and comfortable as mentioned. But what sets this home apart for me was the easy to deal with owners. I made the mistake of leaving my cell phone at the house when we left and didn't discover it until we were nearly to Eugene. I called the owner (using my husband's phone) and she quickly called her housekeeper and made arrangements for the housekeeper to send the phone to me. Her efforts went above and beyond anything required of her, and I felt like she really wanted to get my phone to me. When I hung up, I was sure my phone would be return safely...and it was exactly as she promised. Thank you Deborah!

  We had a wonderful stay at this house. The house was in excellent condition/well-maintained and was very close to the beach. The beach was spectacular. The house is also relatively close to the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. I played two rounds of golf and the courses were extraordinary. Also had a great meal at Alloro in Old Bandon. We highly recommend this property.

  I love this home! 6 adults, 2 children and our furry one stayed for 5 nights in the Pelicans Nest beginning the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2011. The location is perfect- minutes from restaurants and shops, very upscale neighborhood, very short walk to beach access, interesting uncrowded beaches. The home is very spacious, yet cozy and bright, well equipped and with spectacular views of the ocean. The owners, Bruce and Deborah are wonderful too. They were easy to contact, always prompt and helpful with any questions, this is VERY important when renting a vacation home. The home is pet friendly with a fenced yard, everyone felt welcome, wine, coffee and doggie treats, what more could you want. We hope to make this an annual pilgramage and would definately recommend to friends or relatives. Thank you Bruce and Deborah for sharing your beautiful home.

  We had a group of 6 adults, 1 child, and a dog, and the house was a great place to stay for this group. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen very user-friendly, and the windows and skylights made the whole space light, airy and a pleasure to be in. We hope to return!

  My brother arranged this wonderful vacation for our two families. A lovely home with lots of space and activities for the kids. The canine "cousins" enjoyed themselves in the sunny foyer and walking on the beach. Even I, (a SWORN kitchen-phobic) found myself cooking in the well outfitted kitchen....loved the giant dining table too. We had a short walk across the street to the stables for a horseback ride on the beach. The kites in the garage were a welcomed surprise for the youngest (he even named all the kites!) The wine and the treat/toy "welcome" bag for the dogs was a extremely thoughtful touch by the owners. Have recommended to multiple friends!
