This stunning 3100 sq.ft. custom home displays quality throughout. The interior is built with clear, finished white cedar and displays three 8'x8' skylights and large windows upstairs to bring in the sun, moon and the stars. Downstairs begins with a spacious foyer leading to a large gourmet kitchen with room for several chefs to create wonderful meals. Fresh fish may be purchased locally for a special treat. NO STAIRS TO ENTER OUR HOME. ONE BEDROOM AND BATH ON GROUND FLOOR WITH KITCHEN, DINING, TV ROOM and BACKYARD ALL WITH OUT CLIMBING STAIRS!
The dining table has two leaves to expand to 8' to accommodate your group. In addition we have a breakfast bar that will seat 3 to 4 others. There is also a private fenced courtyard with an entrance from the kitchen making barbecues and outdoor seating easily accessible.
The Television/Game Room is off the kitchen which provides DISH with Movie and Music Channels on a 32" Flat Screen with DVD Player. All of the floors and counters are beautifully tiled. In addition, the first floor has a full bath with a glass and tile shower and a bedroom with 2 queen beds.
On the second floor you will find the living room. Make yourself comfortable on our large couch and enjoy views of the ocean. This expansive room features skylights and a gas fireplace for a quiet relaxing day or romantic evening. You will also find a new 42" Flat Screen Television with Movie and Music Stations plus a Blu-ray Player.
One of the suites features an extra long, extra deep soaking tub surrounded by tile. Take a long bubble bath to relax and pamper yourself after a day of golf, shopping, beach combing or just having fun on the Southern Oregon Coast. This room has one king and one twin bed. You will also find a skylight over the king bed!

Why the Owner Chose Bandon
I have been coming to Bandon for 20 years and when Bruce and I decided to marry 8 years ago, Bandon was my first choice for our wedding. I searched the internet for a vacation rental where we could have a small gathering of family and friends and my dog Zachary Binx could be the Best Man. I found the "Pelican's Nest". We were married in the living room upstairs and it was perfect. Zachary wore a tux with the ring tied to it.
When we came back by ourselves 6 months later to stay in the home once again for a belated honeymoon we found out that it was for sale as an established business. We wasted no time putting the deal together and we are now the proud owners of "The Pelican's Nest", the home in which we were married.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Some of the many things we really enjoy about our home are the views from the living room where we can sit or lie on the couch, watch the water and/or read a book. I always seem to fall asleep though listening to the waves and enjoying the sun and light through the skylights. When the weather permits sitting out on the deck is delightful and there are times during the whale migrations that we sit with binoculars and watch the whales pass by. Also, the sunsets are magnificent. Our dining area, kitchen and TV room all open up through a large glass slider to our fenced, private, wind protected backyard where we enjoy nice BBQ's on our Gas grill. The beach access is just two doors down from our home and we love to take dogs and walk for miles. During minus tides the tide pools are unbelievably full of sea life. Bring your camera!! Bruce and I also enjoy the many whitewater views from our home through the many large picture windows. Doing dishes is not so bad when you can watch and enjoy the ocean. When we first enter our home we love the smell of the cedar walls and close our eyes and take deep breaths. We love the openess of our home and the ease in getting around.

I love this home! 6 adults, 2 children and our furry one stayed for 5 nights in the Pelicans Nest beginning the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2011. The location is perfect- minutes from restaurants and shops, very upscale neighborhood, very short walk to beach access, interesting uncrowded beaches. The home is very spacious, yet cozy and bright, well equipped and with spectacular views of the ocean. The owners, Bruce and Deborah are wonderful too. They were easy to contact, always prompt and helpful with any questions, this is VERY important when renting a vacation home. The home is pet friendly with a fenced yard, everyone felt welcome, wine, coffee and doggie treats, what more could you want. We hope to make this an annual pilgramage and would definately recommend to friends or relatives. Thank you Bruce and Deborah for sharing your beautiful home.

My brother arranged this wonderful vacation for our two families. A lovely home with lots of space and activities for the kids. The canine "cousins" enjoyed themselves in the sunny foyer and walking on the beach. Even I, (a SWORN kitchen-phobic) found myself cooking in the well outfitted kitchen....loved the giant dining table too. We had a short walk across the street to the stables for a horseback ride on the beach. The kites in the garage were a welcomed surprise for the youngest (he even named all the kites!) The wine and the treat/toy "welcome" bag for the dogs was a extremely thoughtful touch by the owners. Have recommended to multiple friends!

What a wonderful place. The house is very spacious--open and light. The kitchen is well-equipped. It is a short walk to the beach--our 90 year old mother made it. The Pelican's Nest is very comfortable in every way. The property is well-maintained. We would definitely stay there again. The owners were friendly and helpful. We recommend this property. Although, there were just 8 of us, it could easily accommodate 12.

If you are looking for a very clean, spacious, home with a fabulous view, look no futher. The upper level is positioned so you can easily see a large section of surf. The lay out of the rooms is well thought out, with the bedrooms being spacious and away form each other. We have been to the Pelicans Nest twice and plan on going again in the fall. We like to take our family which includes my son's two dogs. The owners make the dogs as much at home as the human guests.

We have stayed here several times and keep returning. Quiet location outside of Bandon, but easy to go into town. Lots of windows and light, with ocean views. Spacious, well-equipped and very well organized. Wood interior beautiful. Easy beach access and pet friendly! Owners are friendly and helpful, and make you feel special and welcome. Provides great location to explore other beaches and state parks. Our favorite vacation getaway!

We have been going to Bandon Dunes every year since 1999 and renting a home in town. In 2009 we stumbled upon the Pelican's Nest, and have made this our new accommodation of choice. This was the first place we stayed where there were beds for 8 golfers The house has great ocean views, spacious kitchen, and a perfect set up for a golf group, plenty of flat screen TV's, and a large dining area. The owner's have been very accommodating and we look forward to going back every year!

6 of us stayed in this house for a golf weekend. The charge for the housekeeper was listed at a reasonable price and we agreed to an additional fee for her to wash the towels (because this was not part of her duties). When we arrived we found that the bath towels in the master bedroom smelled dirty (apparently the previous renter hadn't made the same agreement?), the dining room table was dirty and there was a moldy filter in the coffee maker. The stated duties of the housekeeper were to do the floors (Tile downstairs, carpet upstairs), the bathrooms and the beds. We left some grass that had been tracked in on the floor and we put the bedding and towels in the laundry room with her additional fee in cash on the dryer. The housekeeper then told the owners (who live in California) that we had left a "horrible" mess and stained their carpet and tracked grass on the furniture and lost a pillow sham. We were charged an additional fee that was more than 150% over and above the original cleaning fee. We asked for evidence of staining in the form of pictures. That didn't even warrant a response as I'm sure there were no pictures. We were twice accused by the owners of destroying the pillow sham. A few weeks later a small check came in the mail stating nothing more than the sham had been found. An apology would have been nice, but probably out of character. The owners claimed they "never" have to charge additional cleaning fees. The female owner also stated "why is it always the golfers that we have this trouble with?" Lesson: If you're a golfer, don't stay here. If you're a beachcomber and you want to clean the floors before you leave so the housekeeper doesn't actually have to earn her money then it's a nice house in a good location. I asked the male owner for the name of the housekeeping company so I could avoid using houses that she contracts with in the future. He stated that they are the only house in Bandon that uses her. Gee...I wonder why. It's also important to note that the housekeeping report cited dirty dishes left out and a dirty dining room table. Neither of these was true in the least, but when you have no recourse, you have no recourse. They already had our deposit check so there was nothing we could do. When we left the house we had every intention of coming back on our next trip. Now none of us would ever consider it.

We had a small wedding about 20 with the parents staying in the home. It was amazing. The house was clean comfortable and beautiful! The owners left us a wedding present even. We rearranged some furniture to make room for the dinner in the dining room there was just enough room for everyone to fit comfortably. Our parents were really excited about staying there and even talked about coming back soon for a get together!
