This 2000 sq ft Playa Dorada home is beautiful. It has fabulous beach sunsets and exceptionally big tide swings. The beach is full of shells and small sea life. Dolphin sightings are common while dining from the roof top deck.
In town, shopping is great if all who like to bargain. For relaxation there is plenty of golf at the nearby Myan Palace or in town at Sandy Beach.
The beds and linens of this home are extremely comfortable and much time and effort have been invested in the furnishings and decor. There is a hammock on the large back patio and beach toys for the kids.
Because the house has four beds and four baths it is great for a couple of families or multiple couples.
This is such a great value because we would rather offer a green, solar powered home than charge you more money. Keep in mind, however, that electricity conservation is recommended. This would include not using hairdryers and turning out lights when not in use.
Also, I try to limit the number of occupants to eight because of our water management. First, water is trucked in and that is expensive. Second, all of the water goes to a septic system and it has a volume limit. Please have a conservative mindset when it comes to water and electricity.

Durring the 2011/ 2012 season my family and I will be traveling abroad. In a gesture of full disclosure I want to say that just as we are leaving, I have noticed a small portion of the outside patio ceiling that has deteriorated. Please be patient with me until my return in May 2012 when I can get back to Mexico for some necessary improvements to the deck that faces the ocean. It needs special material therefore I must be involved in the repairs. It is still a beautiful home with an aesthetic downgrade on the rear deck.
Update: We will be removing some or all sections of the patio ceiling for safety reasons.
Also some of our screens have been torn out and I am waiting to replace the complete screen doors.

We will be definitely be returning to this fabulous beach house! The house was very comfortable and well-equipped. Each bedroom and bath was beautifully decorated and filled with soft towels, linens and pillows. There was an abundance of drinking/cooking water, paper goods, pots, pans, etc. Plenty of beach chairs and toys. Between the ocean breezes and ceiling fans, we were extremely comfy even during the warmest hours. The porch is big and the perfect place to gather, read, eat, and dolphin watch. The surround sound in the great room was a nice touch for our "beach music". Thank you for sharing your home with us! The Shipley/Murchek Family

Having stayed in Rocky Point at many different rental locations, I can honestly say that staying here offered everything and then some that we expected out of a rental location. The house itself is good sized and very comfortable. In fact, usually when we stay in Rocky Point on the beaches out of town, we are accustomed to having few creature comforts. This house has everything from very nice linens to a great kitchen, to gas and charcoal grills to an AWESOME ocean kayak. If you are looking for a comfortable, casual, relaxing vacation, book it before I rebook it. :)

Beach front newly build white vacation house on white sand. Thank you, Mark. We saw more birds than people everyday and nice whether throughout our vacation. Living room with lots of natural light during the day was great and walking on the beach with my dogs at sunset everyday was wonderful. And quick response of how to turn water heater was much appreciated. We had a great time there so we are going back to this year again.

We have stayed at this lovely home several times. The ocean and serene beach are literally steps away. Having rented many homes in Rocky Point, we keep returning to this one. The listing and photos are accurate, and the property is well maintained. Some details we appreciate are: the charming decor, fine linens, comfortable beds, and spectacular views of the ocean. The owner promptly returns our emails and provides detailed instructions to the property. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing home away from the hustle and bustle of town!
