The island of Ilhabela is one of the main ecological reserves of the Coastal Atlantic Rain Forest, with an amazing 35 km of beaches to explore, various mountain peaks to climb and over 400 waterfalls. The island is accessible by ferry, with boats leaving from Sao Sebastiao every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. The island is a 2.5 hour drive from Sao Paulo, making it a popular, easy to reach vacation destination.

The property is located near the beautiful Praia do Pinto beach (3-4 minutes walk), and consists of two adjoining houses which can be rented either together or separately. The larger house (UNIT A) has 3 bedrooms, 2 with king size beds and 1 with two twins, each with its own private bath and shower. There is a beautiful open kitchen which flows into the living room, and then outside to a large patio. The smaller house (UNIT B) has a small kitchen facing the terrace with an amazing view of the ocean. There are 2 rooms in this unit, both with bathrooms and a shower. One bedroom has a king size bed and the other is equipped with a bunk bed for the kids. The two units share a large garden and a gazebo for picnics and grilling (churrasquera), and are surrounded on all sides by lush tropical vegetation, native plants, and fruit trees.

There are a few local stores nearby for your day to day needs, and the city center is a 15 minute drive south. There you can explore the bustling nightlife, great shopping, and the world class restaurants.

The island is an amazing place for outdoor sports of every type, and the average annual temperature is 70 degrees F. The house is ideal for long term rentals as well, as Ilhabela has a solid infrastructure of hospitals, schools, and public transportation. The island is also very safe, and is a great place to raise kids.
