Why the Owner Chose Fall Creek Falls
The beauty of having a small airplane is that you travel to anywhere in the United States that you like, and find some really interesting out-of-the-way places in the process. Several years back when a business trip brought me to the Nashville area, I got fogged in and could not leave so I decided to explore the Cumberland Plateau. The area grabbed my heart - and my checkbook. I purchased 2 plots of land and constructed 2 log cabins for me and all of you, my guests, to enjoy. I have tried to fill the cabins with everything you could possibly want for a getaway and I jokingly tell everyone " ... just bring your toothbrush; everything else is there."
While I enjoy puttering around the cabins, I also enjoy hiking the many State recreational parks in the area - Fall Creek Falla, Burgess and Rock Island. I particularly like the waterfalls at Rock Island where the water comes out through a crack in the rocks rather than over the top - and I have flown over the top so I know that there is no water there! But THE BEST waterfalls in your own back year. Please walk down the stairs with your morning coffee and enjoy the falls at Stone Creek. It is provate and all yours to enjoy.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
My favorite things to do at Stone Creek"
1. Sit and watch the waterfalls on the lower deck
2. Sit on the rock and watch the day go by - especially during leaf season
3. Build a fire in the outdoor firepit and make s'mores
4. Walk the trails behind the cabin
5. Tell people that I am sorry but my cell phone does not work up there!

My boyfriend and I rented the cabin for a weekend getaway in late January. I spoke with Terry (owner) prior to our arrival and she was very pleasant and accommodating. The navigation instructions she provided were perfect. The cabin was very clean and very welcoming. It was the perfect size for the two of us and was equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our weekend. There was a DVD library, Wii game Library, and everything we needed to prepare daily meals, the only thing that was missing for our stay was an iron. The property was extremely private which I loved but was also near stores for those forgotten supplies we needed to pick up. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this cabin to any couple looking to get-away. Thanks for sharing this wonderful property with us!

What a great little cabin! My fiancé and I stayed at this wonderfully secluded cabin for 4 days over the New Years 2011 holiday. It was perfect, just what we needed to get away from our hustle & bustle lives. Upon arriving the cabin was very clean and tidy. It was equipped with all the amenities we needed. The bedroom sheets were clean and bathroom towels were fresh. I must agree with the other reviews that the view from "the rock" and of the private waterfalls were spectacular. The owner was very kind and courteous, so much so that she provided specific directions to the cabin over the phone as I forgot the map she so graciously provided. We will definitely be reserving this cabin again in the near future!!

Very Peaceful... We arrived late in the evening, noticed immediatly the cleaning staff had not been there... No bed sheets or clean towels... I found a top sheet in the closet to use as a fitted sheet... the laundry basket was full of dirty towels... We had none to use for ourselves.... the next morning I did call the owner and she was right on it... the cleaning lady came & did a good job... There were no batteries in the remotes or the game stations... We enjoyed the rest of our stay as planned... Even though things started off sour we will be returning....
Owner response:Thank you for your review. I apologize for the mis-step upon your arrival but I am glad we got it straightened out for you. Please remind me on your next visit and you have one night free for your kindness and inconveniences. We will work on the batteries as they seem to be popular theft items. We have a large stock that does not seem to stick around very long. Many thanks.

We were really impressed with the detail put into all the decorations and high quality of the construction of the cabin itself. Having previously been in the construction industry, I notice details about building quality and really could not find any flaws anywhere!! We also loved the platform you built down the hill for the beautiful and peaceful setting overlooking the waterfall. And it was only on our last day that I found the trail at the back of the property leading to the rock overhang and spectacular view of the valley. That was impressive! I hope to one day go back and enjoy another weekend there again. Everything was just how you described it in the documentation.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in May for Mother's Day and loved it! The waterfall was flowing and beautiful and the overlook was amazing. The cabin was very private with no neighbors and no traffic. It had everything we could ask for, including a gas grill and everything we needed to cook while we stayed. The only downside was the bed. It wasn't very large and the bedding was more hotel quality than luxury and the tv was small with very few channels. Other than that, it was perfect and those little things wouldn't stop us from returning. It is true that there isn't a bathtub, but the shower is quite large and nicely tiled with a bench. There are also several stairs, so if those are a problem, this isn't the cabin for you . We also made good use of the fire pit and seating area one evening. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return.

My wife and I rental this cabin property July 7 thru 9th. We were very pleased with the cabin, the location, and we were very happy with the weather we were blessed with. The view was very nice from the private waterfalls observation deck to the mountain view a few hundred yards away. It was really worth every penny spent, listening to the sounds of nature and quiet surroundings. A few days prior to our stay I lost my grandmother, so this was a welcomed trip. I'd highly recommend this property to anyone. We'd like to go again someday!

My husband and I loved Stone Creek Cabin! We just spent three wonderful nights there. It absolutely poured rain on the day of our arrival. But I think this made the waterfalls flow even more. The private waterfall and view from the "rock" were breathtaking. The cabin itself was well kept and had everything one needed. I really appreciated the use of WiFi for my phone and computer which allowed me to stay in touch with family while there. We visited Falls Creek Falls, Burgess Falls, and Piney Creek Falls while there. Beautiful country!! I would not recommend this cabin to anyone with children. The "rock" alone gave me nightmares since we have seven grandchildren! But for an adult getaway, wonderful, relaxing, peaceful............ Thank you Terry for allowing us to stay here!

What a great little cabin! If you want to get away from the everyday noise this is it. Cabin is very clean and well equiped and the view from the rock is spectacular. We also really enjoyed the waterfall which had plenty of water after some big spring time rains. We're already planning on staying there again!
