This was our third visit to "Track of the Moon" and hopefully will not be our last. We like the quiet surroundings , sitting on the screen porch listening to the ocean. Taking the boardwalk to the beach and trying to identify the wild flowers along the way. Easy to get to Port.St. Joe and Apalachicola for shopping and great seafoodRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful family vacation. The house was exactly as the information stated. The owners were very helpful. We enjoyed eating at Triple Tails and they were very nice. We also bought lots of oysters, shrimp, and crab cakes from them. We took afternoon trips to area locations including Apalachicola, a very interesting town. The kids spent lots of time on the beach playing in the sand. We were even treated with a new nest of turtle eggs and got to see them buried. The kids adopted the nest which contains 124 eggs. This was a great educational experience for the kids. The guys enjoyed surf fishing and the fish were really biting. They caught catfish, growlers, stingrays, 2 types of sharks, crabs, and even a flounder. We loved being so close to the beach yet it was not a busy beach and the area people were very friendly. It was nice that we had our own boardwalk to the beach and could leave items by the boardwalk and did not have to carry everything back to the house. We will definitely recommend this property to friends.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car.

Location and amenities were excellent. Layout of the home with the separation of the master suite from the other bedrooms and the spacious kitchen/dining/living area was very accommodating. Combination of spotty cell reception and DSL internet access provided for selective disconnection from the outside world for relaxation while maintaining access as desired. Kitchen was well-equipped and, coupled with the gas grill, made staying in for dinner very easy. Indian Pass Raw Bar's food, atmosphere and live entertainment made it worth the wait as the closest dining-out option. Access to virtually deserted beach was incredibly inviting. Both Port St. Joe and Apalachicola provided very interesting shopping and dining opportunities populated with friendly folks. St. Vincent Island was well worth the cost of the shuttle ride, but cannot be adequately explored in a single visit. Would definitely like to repeat our visit sometime and selfishly hope the Forgotten Coast remains the way it is.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This was our second family vacation on this property and I hope not our last. I love to fish from a kayak and also did some fishing from the beach. The fish were biting and my three grandkids all caught fish. The beach is beautiful and the water was warm. It is an easy walk from the house to the ocean on the boardwalk. The view of the ocean from the front porch is very relaxing. You could hear the surf and the mockingbird in a pine tree next to the porch at the same time. The house is comfortable with children around. We are outdoor oriented people so we try not to spend much time indoors other than sleeping or eating. We cooked several meals (fish and seafood fests). The kitchen is serviceable, with the basics covered, but don't expect everything you probably have at home. The place is not elegant, but it is clean and reasonable maintained.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We had a fabulous visit! The fish were biting like crazy, even my 4 year old caught 4 croakers! The beach was lovely. We also visited Tate's Hell (Apalachicola National Forest) for some hiking - it was very interesting. We couldn't have asked for nicer weather, it was a great break from the constant rain we're having back home. The water was so warm we could swim all day and not get out to get warmed up. Thank you for a lovely stay.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

We had such a great time! Lots of fishing! The boys (husband and 10 year old) took the boat out each day and caught a ton of sea trout. My two year old and I played on the beach. She absolutely loved it... Thanks again for a great vacation. You have a great home! Brandy and family. Perry, Georgia.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

Larry and family, Thank you for sharing Track of the Moon with our family. As a "newbie" to the area, we found the seclusion of Indian Pass to be therapeutic. There were many highlights to our visit. Not only did we appreciate the serenity of the location, but we also enjoyed the sound of the surf. We also enjoyed the shabby chic style of Track of the Moon... We would gladly recommend your home to people looking for serenity by the sea. Blessings to you and to all who share the spirit and soul of your home. Michelle.Did you find this review helpful? We had a great time on our vacation at Track of the Moon. This was our second time to Indian Pass and our first to stay at this location. This house is perfect for children. Our children loved the beach. Our son is sad to leave. Our 3 year old loved the sand, this was her first time at the beach. The dolphins were so close we could almost touch them. Thanks for the awesome place to stay and the wonderful time! Brad, Lisa, Cole and Leah Hendersonville, Tennessee. P.S. We are sad to leave.Did you find this review helpful? I really enjoyed my week long visit here! I wasn't too sure what to expect when I came, but I was definately pleased. The house is very nice - I love the porch! We made a little buddy-an owl! It was so funny because he was talking a lot and my aunt would screech back at him, then he would answer her! So cute. My mom said it was a little remote for me, but I think it might have been what I needed. Lots of relaxation and time to think. It was nice to get away from my busy fast paced lifestyle. My favorite time to walk on the beach was just as the sun was setting - gorgeous! I don's have any complaints! I'd love to come back to Track of the Moon someday with my friends someday and share this awesome place! Sarah, 18. Sugarland, Texas.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

We had a great week here at Track of the Moon! My 88 year old mother enjoyed sitting out in the screened porch, our 18 year old and 13 year old enjoyed jet skiing at Mexico Beach and the beach cart rentals-the owner is so nice. Raw oysters at the Raw Bar were some of the best-fresh from the bay! The food and service was great at Sunset Grill. So glad we could spend a week here with my sister and her husband. The pace here is so laid back and different than what we are used to. Hope to come back soon! Brenda, Houston, Texas.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

Thanks for the great accommodations. Booking was painless and the owner and agency was helpful with all of our needs. Track of the Moon and Indian Pass is a great place to hang out and relax. The kids loved the beach and we enjoyed the security of not having to cross the street or deal with a crowded beach. Tamara’s Cafe in Apalachicola was a great place to eat. We will be back next year. Thanks, Rob. Atlanta, GADid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 6/6
