WE HAD A GREAT STAY !! ON 2/28/2013 . We did a last minute reservation and the owner couldn't have been more accommodating, the house was very clean, we only needed a one bedroom but Christy gave us a great deal on this three bedroom home. There is everything that you need. Town is just minutes away and such a great location, with privacy still. We will be back soon !!1Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We are a family of five who have travelled extensively and rented many vacation homes. Nature's Retreat was one of the best homes we've rented and we found it to be a good value based on the cabin's size, location and amenities. The cabin was exactly as described and pictured and was immaculately clean when we arrived (you don't always get that). We loved the decor and mountain feel of the cabin - lots of wood, stacked stone, granite countertops, etc. The location was very convenient to town and to the national park, but we also felt "away from it all" due to the location up the hill from the Parkway. The hot tub with gazebo was a great amenity after days of hiking and the pool table is the loft was a lot of fun - we used it every day. We were at the cabin during the 2012 Olympics, so the multiple flat screen TV's were great while we were freshening up for dinner or relaxing. The owner was very helpful with the reservation and any questions we had. Our only complaint would be that one of the beds in one of the first floor bedrooms (on right) seemed to be damaged so that the frame was very noisy whenever you moved and could be heard all over the cabin - probably should be fixed or replaced. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Smoky Mountains, and the cabin was a big part of our enjoyment - well maintained and furnished, CLEAN, hot tub, pool table, free WI-FI, grill, great location and hassle-free reservation. We would definitely return to Nature's Retreat and would recommend to family or friends. As far as activities, we enjoyed whitewater rafting with USA Raft in Hartford, TN. It was a fun trip and it also included vouchers for a tubing trip at River Rats in Townsend, TN. We thought the tubing vouchers made this a decent value. We enjoyed mulitple hikes in the park, including Grotto Falls, Walker Sisters Place, Baskins Falls (great hike, uncrowded if you start early), and part of AT near Newfound Gap. Highly recommend packing picnic lunches for in the park and using the Chimneys and other picnic areas in the park -saves time and money and the setting is beautiful! Cades Cove was beautiful, but recommend getting an early start (or go at dusk) to avoid crowds. We saw two bears, as well as many deer and wild turkey. if you need any hiking gear, we recommend the Day Hikers Shop in town - the owner was very knowledgable and helpful. for meals, we loved Best Pizza and Italian and Mountain View for breakfast or lunch.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this luxuriously-furnished log home. The home was comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. Despite being conveniently situated right inside Gatlinburg itself, the home's hillside elevation puts it far enough above the hub-bub of the city streets, to create a setting of serenity and seclusion, surrounded by picturesque woodlands. It is truly a place to relax and unwind. We would definitely seek out this property again on any future visits to the Smoky Mountains. Gatlinburg as a city has a wonderful mountain-resort-type charm to it, and is the perfect center from which to explore the area.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This cabin looks exactly like the pictures, only better. We stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The bedrooms are spacious. It was very CLEAN. The hot tub was nice. The rocking chairs on the porch were a perfect place for breakfast. I looked around the area a little and this is by far one of the better looking places I saw. It feels like home. We will look to see if this cabin is available the next time we go. The owner was very helpful too. One note about the futon in the loft, two adults slept on it and it wasn't comfortable for them. I think two kids would be a better fit for the futon. We spent time in the mountains while we were their. This was our second extended stay and both times we have enjoyed renting bicycles and riding around Cades Cove. It is hilly so be aware if you aren't a regular rider, but it is beautiful. Hillbilly Golf at stoplight 2 was a lot of fun too. We hope others can enjoy this beautiful place.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This cabin was beautiful, very clean, and everything we were looking for in a cabin. The owner is very nice and very helpful. We stayed for 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. We went to Dollywood, Cades Cove, and did most of our cooking on the grill. I would highly recommend this cabin to my friends. If I had a complaint, (which I don't) it would have been the 10:00 check-out time, would have preferred 11:00.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband I stayed at the cabin in May and really enjoyed the proximity to Gatlinburg, (we walked to dinner one night) and to the Great Smoky Nationial park; the spaciousness and cleanliness of the cabin and environment. It would be a great place to take the whole family! The rental process was quick and easy and I would recommend this cabin and the owners to future renters.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We recently stayed at this property and it was very clean and included everything that we needed. The owner was very helpful from reservation to checkout. It was peaceful and quiet yet close to downtown Gatlinburg. We thoroughly enjoyed the Aquarium and Dollywood. We also had an enjoyable visit to Cades Cove. I would definitely recommend the Cherokee Grill for fine food. I hope that we can come back again soon and would recommend this property to my friends and relatives without hesitation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
