Casa Calypso is a first class luxury 3 bedroom/3.5 bathroom, top floor condominium in a gated community Cruz del Mar located on top of the hillside of Punta Santa Cruz, Bahias de Huatulco, Oaxaca, Mexico. Every room has a breathtaking panoramic view of Santa Cruz Bay, Marina and Village of Santa Cruz.
Casa Calypso is 1900 sq. ft. (172 sq. m.) with 3 separate suites. The Master Suite is a combination of fully equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, dining/living room with cathedral ceiling and 42" plasma TV, a guest half bathroom , a master bedroom with queen size bed, spacious master bathroom with double sinks and marble shower. The adjoining very spacious under roof balcony/lanai could be accessed both from a master bedroom and a living room.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a large refrigerator , gas stove, microwave oven, dishwasher, juicer, coffee maker, all the utensils, dishes and glassware. Next to it is a laundry room with washer and dryer.
Two other bedrooms are located across the hallway and could be locked off if you do not need them. Middle Bedroom # 2 ( sleeps max 3 persons) has one full size bed and one twin size bed and marble bathroom with shower and single sink.
Balcony Bedroom #3 ( sleeps max 3 persons ) has one full size bed and one twin size bed , a small step out balcony, and marble bathroom with double sinks and spacious round shower with mountain view.
All rooms are air-conditioned and have ceiling fans. Linens and towels are provided.
The large infinity ground pool is shared by 12 owners of the complex and is accessible by elevator or stairs.
Casa Calypso is a 10 minute walking distance to Santa Cruz Beach and Chahue Beach Club. The town of La Crucecita is 15 minutes walking distance where you find local market, restaurants, shopping & much more. The very convenient new big supermarket Super Che is 10 minutes walking distance from Casa Calypso.
Taxi with its flat rate of 25 pesos or $2.50 dollars within 4 miles range is a very economical way to move around in Huatulco. The gatekeeper will have phone numbers to the local taxi cabs.
Rental cars are also available but expect to pay around $40-$50 US dollars per day. You might be better off to hire a local taxi driver for full day trips/excursions for around 100 usd per day.
Huatulco offers a large variety of restaurants , shopping, a small mall with a four-plex movie theater, a championship 18 hole golf course, a marina for boating, jet skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, deep sea fishing, horseback riding, ATV jungle tours, coffee plantation tours, Magic Falls tours, river rafting and many more other activities.

Property Description: Casa Calypso with Ocean View 3 Bdr/3.5 Baths Comment Date: 01/04/2010 Comment Text: My family (2 granddaughters, daughter and son in law) stayed in Casa Calypso 12/27/09 through 1/3/10 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo is well appointed, comfortable and has everything you need, from a cooler to a very well equiped kitchen. Everything is new and ver well kept. The local rental manager is knowledable and very helpful. We plan on returning again for our traditional stay in 2010 - 2011.

The condo is very comfortable, in excellent condition, well furnished. It offers nice view as it is overlooking Santa Cruz Huatulco and each room is facing the ocean. The terrace is large enough and a perfect place for diner, watch the sunset or relax. The condo is located on the second floor, but as it is built on a hill, you’ll have your car parked at the same level which is very convenient and makes you feel as if living in a private home. There are 2 beaches nearby, the closest, bahia Chahue being quiet. Foodstore is also close. For a long stay I would however recommend to rent a car, as we did. The American owner of the condo is extremely reliable and helpful. Communication is fast and efficient. El departamento, amueblado con buen gusto y en estado perfecto tiene todo lo necesario. El mantenimiento de las áreas comunes, jardines, alberca esta bien manejado. Uno de los espacios más acogedores de la vivienda es la terraza con vistas a Santa Cruz Huatulco y el mar. Las 3 recamaras, cada una tiene baño con lavabo, regadera, WC pero sin tina, disfrutan también de vista al mar. Siendo construido el edificio sobre una ladera, el departamento ubicado en el segundo piso esta al mismo nivel que el aparcamiento lo que es conveniente. Conviene no olvidar que el cerro domina una zona turística con restaurantes y discotecas y que suben los ruidos de día y de noche... El dueño Estadounidense de la vivienda es de total confianza. Para una larga estancia, sugeriría arrendar un carro. Las bonitas playas se ubican a 45 minutos Este y Oeste. Las de Huatulco, que pueden estar atiborradas, no son nada del otro mundo.L’appartement est en bon état et meublé avec gout. La maintenance des parties communes du jardin et de la piscine est au dessus de toute critique. Le logement dispose d’une terrace agréable avec vue splendide sur Santa Cruz Huatulco et la mer. Chaque chambre, avec aussi très belle vue sur la mer, dispose d’une salle d’eau avec WC. L’appartement est construit à flanc de colline, et bien qu’au second et dernier étage, le parking est au même niveau, ce que nous avons trouvé pratique. Il faut prendre en compte que la colline domine une zone très touristique avec restaurant et discothèque et que les bruits montent de jour et surtout de nuit. Le propriétaire est de confiance totale. Une voiture de location nous parait indispensable, les belles plages sont à 45 minutes Est et Ouest. Celle de Huatulco, bof…

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Calypso.The views from the patio are wonderful and we spent much of our time there eating breakfasts and dinners and enjoying afternoon breezes.All bedrooms have excellent views and the condo is well equipped.We would not hesitate to return.

Casa Calypso is a beautiful three-bedroom condo perfect for a family with one wing containing two bedrooms, each with its own bath. The condo is furnished very nicely with lots of amenities, including a washer and dryer. The covered deck is a very pleasant place to watch the sea, the town and the boats. The condo is a 10 minute walk to the beach (although there is a pool just downstairs). One of the boat operators in town has a very loud speaker system which allows sound to travel up the hill to the condo. The owners gave helpful recommendations about restaurants and activities and were very prompt in returning the deposit.
