MAIN CASITA
The main casita is located on a large property in the hills just 2 miles from the center of Atenas. The casita is part of a secure, residential development of custom-built homes bordering a protected ecological reserve. The main casita has a spacious living area with satellite tv, wireless internet access and a fully equipped kitchen. The master bedroom has a king sized bed (or optional 2 single beds) with an attached bathroom. Relax on the covered balcony with a cup of world famous Costa Rican coffee.
Come enjoy the peaceful serenity and the wonderful views of mountains and valleys from the hammock or the rocking chairs on the large covered patio close to the main house. Take a refreshing dip in the solar heated pool and release the stress and tension of your everyday life or barbecue viewing the valley. Meditate and practice yoga on the top of the property's hill.
Atenas is just 25 minutes west of San Jose (SJO) airport and an hour from the Pacific coast. There are various shops, markets, banks, post office, drug stores, eating places, bakeries and other amenities within walking distance or a $3.00 US taxi ride.
The property is electric-gated, and there is a caretaker and his wife that live on the premises for added security. She is also available for housekeeping, cooking, massage for a very reasonable price.
There is a hiking trail perfect for active guests. If you are lucky, you may see toucans, hummingbirds, parakeets and other wild birds. Monkeys, iguanas, and maybe even a sloth can be viewed right from the balcony.
The temperature is a mild 70F/21C to 80F/27C during the day and never below 65F/18C at night, so bring your shorts and t-shirts, a wind breaker, your tennis shoes and sandals, and visit Costa Rica, the land of the 'Pura Vida' or 'Pure Life'.

SECOND CASITA
There is a second, 1 bedroom unit with a queen size bed, separate bathroom, balcony and fully equipped kitchen below the main casita. Cable/Satellite TV. This casita is rented separately from the main casita.
Enjoy the same privileges, views and tranquillity as the main casita.
Your gracious hostess speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish.
