The off-season is an excellent time to visit Copper Mountain if you want a peaceful getaway from the city! The ski season ends on April 14th and the resort operations close. So it's very quiet and calm. You won't want to come during this time if you're looking for lots of action and entertainment. Most of the local businesses are closed. Perfect for those who self-entertain and like to prepare meals in the condo. And, those who love the beauty of the mountains, of course!
This condo has a full kitchen, mountain view and it sleeps 8 people! A fraction of the cost of 2 hotel rooms and you have a kitchen.
Copper Junction is one of the best locations at Copper Mountain! This true ski-in/ski-out condo is just steps from the American Eagle and Flyer lifts. It is a corner unit, and boasts expansive views of the ski mountain to the north and sunset vistas to the west.
Enjoy the freshly remodeled kitchen, complete with granite countertops, tile flooring, and open kitchen/dining area. We added a huge flat screen TV with DVD player, gas fireplace, and new furniture. You can sleep 8 people comfortably in this condo, for a set nightly rate. Two in the master bedroom, four in the second bedroom and two in the sofa bed.
The bedrooms are bigger than most of the newer condo bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. For extra convenience, there is a third bathroom in the hallway. In the master bedroom there is a king bed and a glass-enclosed balcony. The second bedroom has two queen beds, and there is a sleeper-sofa in the living room.
Our condo offers a fully-equipped kitchen (remodeled in June 2009) and two patio/balconies with amazing views of the ski mountain and Copper's Burning Stones Plaza in the center village. It's a great location for all seasons, with easy access to the slopes in the winter. The rest of the year, from the comfort of the balcony, enjoy Sunsation, Copper Country, Yarmony Fest and all the impressive live music lineups.
Copper Junction was built in 1973, so it has the large floorplan. And we just remodeled, so it offers the best of both worlds - lots of room and modern updates! Don't forget that this location can't be beat! The living and dining area is open, bright and spacious compared to many of the newer units at Copper. Modern updates include granite countertops, huge flat screen TV w/DVD player, TV's in each bedroom, new sofa-bed, kitchen table and chairs, new bedding, free wireless internet, a ski locker room on the ground level slopeside and a gas fireplace.
The resort shuttle stops are right in front of the Copper Junction building. These buses take you to all resort destinations. Take a quick 5 minute walk, or 1 minute shuttle ride to the athletic club where you'll find a heated pool, hot tubs, steam room, sauna, weight room and cardio machines.
Copper Mountain is located in the heart of Colorado ski country. Vail, Breckenridge, and Keystone are all 20 minutes away. Arapahoe Basin and Loveland are just 25 minutes away. Beaver Creek and Ski Cooper are 30 minutes away. And Winter Park, Steamboat Springs and Monarch are only 90 minutes away.

Leigh was a wonderful liason! The condo served us well and we definitely would come back here in a minute. The condo is roomy with so many wonderful touches such as soap, lotions, paper towels, trash bag liners, etc! We have stayed at many VRBO locations and have never had such great amenities! Unfortunately our daughter woke up with a sinus infection on our first day here and her experience with the Urgent Care facilitiy on the grounds was really pleasant! As a result, she spent most of her time reading on the sun filled glassed in balacony every afternoon! We had to fight her for space on the couch! It was so much fun people watching and we really felt like we were in a primo location! The condo was very peaceful and we did not hear any of the grooming equipment on the mountain at all! The Athletic Club was a perk we used and enjoyed! The girls used the pool twice and my husband and I both worked out on really nice equipment. We really appreciated the use of the high chair for our 2 year old granddaughter. Will be coming back to the Studio Loft condo in March in this same building. Really looking forward to it! Leigh was so fast and efficient in booking this next stay for us!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you VERY much for your kind words and comments about the condo! We're sorry to hear that your daughter was sick, but are happy to hear that you had a nice experience at the Copper Clinic. And it sounds like she made the best of it resting on the balcony. :) It's our pleasure to work with you and we hope that in March you enjoy the studio with loft as much as this condo! Thank you again for taking time to comment on the condo! ~Leigh

We stayed in Copper Junction 201 in January, 2013 and LOVED this condo! As long as you're not looking for a luxury building, this condo is an excellent choice. If you're high-maintenance and nit-picky, then definitely don't choose this building. It's older with creaky doors and elevator and a very tight parking area. And the building and condo are obviously very popular because of the location, so it has a 'used' look and feel. But if you want a comfortable and spacious condo in the very very best location at Copper for your ski trip, then I highly recommend it! There's no better location other than sleeping inside the lift operator shack - ha ha! Inside this unit, some of the decor is a bit 70's, but the kitchen and bathrooms have marble counters, there's a huge flat-screen in the living room and TVs in both bedrooms and there are 3 full bathrooms! And the fireplace looks brand new and works great for extra heat and ambiance. We all slept like babies in the comfy beds. It's nicely stocked with soaps, lotion, Kleenex, shampoo, etc which was a nice surprise. We've never stayed in a VRBO condo with so many supplies. This condo is clean and everything works fine. The owner's description and photos are spot-on. It's actually bigger than it looks in the photos. Leigh helped us get Secret Pass VIP lift tickets which were totally worth it because we came on a holiday weekend and happily skipped the 20 minute lift lines! And she also gave us 20% off on our skis and boots. Thanks Leigh, we will definitely be back! PS- we forgot to mention the balcony. Best place ever for people-watching while having a beer!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your review! We're always very pleased to hear that our guests are happy and enjoyed their stay. I appreciate that you mentioned that this condo isn't for everyone - it's really helpful to our future guests to understand that, while being in a fabulous location, and offering lots of space, this condo is NOT a luxury condo. Thanks again for taking the time to comment, and we look forward to hearing from you again! ~Leigh

This is one of the older buildings but nice because the units are large and the location is great. The rooms on the outside can be noisy when the snow plows come through. This unit has very large bedrooms and a nice living area. It is well stocked and supplied. The porch is great for afternoon sun and people watching. We appreciated the fact that there were big lotion dispensers since we needed lots of lotion on this trip. The dry air and sun can be harsh. We love coming to Copper and this building is one of our favorites. It is a good unit for a family or for several couples. Enjoy!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you for your great feedback. The snowplows AND the snowcats on the mountain are noisy, and it's worth mentioning that ear plugs come in handy! I hope to hear from you again in the future!

We loved our stay at this condo. This was our fourth visit to Copper, but it’d been six years since our last visit. And out of all the condos we’ve stayed in, this was definitely the best location, truly ski-in, ski-out. The only downer about this one is that it’s a 1970s building, so the parking is small, and the plumbing is old (temperature fluctuation in master bath, but not in other showers). But the owners have done a nice job updating appliances, furniture, etc, so you barely notice. And the bonus about the older building? Bigger family room, bedrooms, and two glass enclosed patios. Perfect for a family.Helpful things to know:*Parking garage is tiny and isn’t visible from the traffic circle; it might be blocked temporarily by Copper shuttles; it’s on the bottom floor of the green building*The American Eagle high speed quad lift is Right There (incredible location). This lift is best for intermediate skiers; there’s one easier route down for beginners but runs are more on the blue-green edge even though they’re labeled green*You have to insert room key to get to 2nd floor or above in elevator*You can enter beside pizza joint downstairs on either side of the building and skip a flight of stairs*There are ski lockers downstairs; bring a padlock (ideal to leave equipment there!); another ski locker right outside the room on the 2nd floor*3 TVs; 3 with DVD players; small stereo with CD (no iPod dock)*Extra fridge and microwave in 2nd bedroom*3 bathrooms; 2 with bathtubs*Sleeps 6 easily (2 queen beds, 1 king); sleeps 8 if you have 2 on the sofa bed in the family room*Fully equipped kitchen and dishwasher*Most of the restaurants deliver in case you don’t feel like cooking*Because you’re slope-side and right on the Central Village square, anticipate some noise from snow groomers and small tractors clearing the walks early in the morning (if there’s fresh snow)*There is no pool or jacuzzi. You can pay to enter the Athletic Club ($5pp). Kids have to be 15 or older to use the sauna, steam room, or Jacuzzis inside the locker rooms. Note: If you have a son over 4 years old, bring a dad with you; they’re not supposed to be in the women’s locker room, which makes it tough for a mom on her own with children. And the pool was about five degrees too cold to really enjoy for long.*5th or 6th grader in your clan? Apply for a ski passport through SkiColorado (dot)com (even if you don’t live in CO)—it allows that child to ski three days foOwner response: Lisa - Thank you for such a detailed and accurate description of your stay at Copper Junction 201! We couldn't have said it better ourselves. Your tips will undoubtedly help our future guests have an enjoyable stay. Cheers! Leigh, Copper Colorado Condos
