View From Greenbelt-Seasonal Creek - Bear Valley, CA - California Ski Vacation Rental " HOME RUN" house is a large, kid and dog-friendly ski chalet 1/4 mile from the downhill's Home Run and a five minute walk to the lake; truly, a pristine ski-in and ski-out environment. It stays pristine because vehicles cannot reach the homes above the village as we are snowed in for most of the winter. Therefore, alternative transportation such as a snowmobile (rentals @ BV Snomobile 209-753-2323) can be provided; please contact Lauren (209-480-9460). You can walk, snowshoe and ski everywhere-we're just a mile from the lodge. Don't worry, this only adds to the adventure and kids love it. This is a newly updated home that is perfect for two families. The upstairs bedroom has a new queen bed and a single and the loft has a new fold-out single and a twin. This floor is situated so that it enjoys spectacular morning color. The first floor bedroom has a new king bed and attached tile bathroom with radiant floor heat. The dining table seats ten. There is no television at HOME RUN. There is a piano, a fireplace, a nice view and more stars than you've ever seen. Many of our guests prefer the warmer seasons-colorful spring wildflowers on the creek, the golden aspens of autumn and the beauty of a BV summer and our annual music festival. After a full day of activities please enjoy the year-round hot tub on the 1300 square feet of decking. Those who love Bear Valley for its solitude also love the ease of its travel. There are no mountain passes to traverse, just straight up through the foothill's wine country to the top near Ebbetts Pass. The wide US Scenic Byway is always open, please take a look at the link. This is a tight, cozy ski house on a ridge above Bear Valley village and as Lloyd Bridges said in a TV piece"...Bear Valley is the hidden treasure of the Sierra". This winter we will be able to offer packages with snowmobile services and on-site massage which is extremely popular, please ask. *****Happy summer! We are having some SUMMER SPECIALS: Four nights for the price of three during the week. Also, for weekly vacations don't let the gas prices keep you from the mountains; we'll pay for it. And there is nothing like a massage on the private outdoor dining deck which is also included in your week's stay. And we have access to the always sold-out Music Festival, please inquire early.
