Our property is a lake front property of Smith Mountain Lake. This is not an exclusive rental property. We use property frequently and consider this our second home. You will be able to tell that the property is well maintained. Smith Mountain Lake is a vacation spot known for its amenities around the water such as boat rentals, swimming, beaches, parks, fishing, hiking, or just plain relaxing. The location is close to Bridgewater Plaza with many activities, restaurants, shops and the Welcome Center - an easy 5 minute boat ride away!
The property has easy access to the lake from the backyard. The distance is approximately 30 yards from the back yard decks to the water with no slope and a nice gravel and paver path. The dock area has a covered dock with boat sling and a floating dock-the area can hold 2 boats. The dock was pressurewashed, updated and repainted in 2009.
The home is an exceptional get a way for the entire family. The house was remodeled in 2007 with hardwood floors on the main living area and kitchen. The kitchen has new stove and microwave in 2009. Dining room seats 8 people at large dining table and 4 people at smaller dining table in the same room. New carpet was installed in 2007 in the bedrooms, family room and basement. The main living area is simply decorated. The house is professionally cleaned after every stay. The house is stocked with kitchen utensils and bedding, bed linens, clothes washer and dryer, grill, etc.
The house is in a secluded cove and dock is great for swimming and fishing as the cove is no wake and no speeding boats rushing by!
Long driveway can easily accommodate parking for 4 vehicles. The house is set on a cul de sac in the quiet neighborhood of Twin Coves.

Our party of 10 (four adults, two 15-year-old boys, two 13-year-old boys, and an 8-year-old boy and girl) stayed in this home last week. The location was excellent... a quick boat ride across the cove, and we were at Bridgewater Marina for dinner, gas, mini-golf, or whatever. In the evening, we could float in the lake and listen to the music from Mango's. A quick boat ride out to the channel and we were in the water and ready to tube or ski. We didn't use the upper deck on the dock, but the floating dock was perfect for tying up the boat and kayak and storing all of our various floats, noodles, and ski vests. The house was perfect for our group. The downstairs became the teen cave. They enjoyed the game system and the ping pong table in the garage. The large bedroom downstairs was perfect for them. The tables in the dining room sat 10, so we were all able to sit down and eat dinner together each evening. And the large table was perfect for playing games. The screened in porch was lovely. The owners are fabulous and very responsive. They answered all of our questions in the weeks and months leading up to our vacation, and when the air conditioning stopped working on the second day of our vacation, they had a technician there within a few hours to fix it. The house and the property were clean. We would definitely recommend this home to others, and we hope to be back again next summer!

Our families enjoyed our vacation time at your home and we wanted to express our gratitude to you for offering us your beautiful house. It was an ideal location for us and we were especially thankful to find it on such short notice. We praise God for His goodness in leading us to you and we would certainly consider this location again. Our kids swam, tubed, fished, biked, hiked, boated, watched videos, golfed, ate, slept a little and we did our best to keep up with them. A wonderful lake home. Well suited for a large family gathering. Very clean and nicely decorated. Situated on a quiet cove great for swimming.Great location. Very close to shops and resturants. Would definitely recommend this property for a great SML vacation.
