Manresa Meadows is a very special vacation rental on beautiful acreage just one block from Manresa State Beach. Meander down one of the wildflower lined paths through beautiful acres of meadow to the private eucalyptus-shaded picnic area, complete with firepit, teak picnic tables and chairs. Owls and a variety of interesting birds are frequently seen in the trees surrounding this part of the estate. Follow the path to high ground for a spectacular view of Monterey Bay.

Tranquil views of meadow and farmland from the hot tub, master bedroom, and main deck. Expansive upper and lower decks, indoor and outdoor dining, gas BBQ, hot tub, wide-screen TV and comfortable great room design make Manresa Meadows a superior vacation home.

Pet-friendly Manresa Meadows offers activities for the whole family. Fido will love sleeping in the two doghouses, running in the 400 sq. ft. concrete-surfaced dog run, and roving over the fully fenced two acres of meadowland.

Manresa Meadows is on the Pacific Coast Bicycle Route, just south of La Selva Beach a short block’s walk from Manresa State Beach. Activities nearby include beachcombing on miles of white sandy shoreline, kayaking and wildlife viewing at Elkhorn Slough, hiking and mountain biking at Nisene Marks State Park, theatre at UCSC Shakespeare Santa Cruz, dining at Sanderling’s restaurant at Seascape Resort, and golfing at Seascape Golf Course in nearby Aptos. Why the Owner Chose La Selva Beach

This was our home for 12 years. The floor plan is open and spacious. The 2-1/2 fenced acres has a natural beauty and is very private. We're close enough to enjoy all that Santa Cruz and Monterey have to offer — sightseeing, biking, surfing, hiking, beachcombing — and come home to tranquility and natural beauty.

Owner's Map of La Selva Beach

We fell in love with Manresa Beach the first time we visited the Central Coast — the views of Monterey Bay and acres of strawberry fields. Bob and Sharon Bailey — and Lucky

All the best

Don't stay in April - well, just because that is when we go out for spring break. This house is so close to the beach that we only used our car for grocery shopping. The back yard was like a park - we even had a fire in the pit one night! Would love bunk beds to accommodate children in one of the rooms but other than that we had everything we could need for a great vacation. We even extended our stay by a few days. We're hoping to make Manresa Meadows our yearly spring break destination.

The Best

Thank you, Sharon and Bob for opening your gorgeous to us. Four long-time women friends stayed there Sept. 14-21 2010. Although the photos were great, they couldn't capture the feeling inside and on the decks of this spacious "retreat". The architecture and floor plan are perfect for both connection and privacy. Everything top quality down to the smallest detail. Three of our group are serious cooks-- one was a teaching chef in Napa. So to say that the kitchen had everything a serious cook wants/needs, says a lot. The property was impeccably clean. (We did our best to leave it as we found it). Thank you for responding to our concerns. Cooking, eating, hiking; cooking, eating, strolling on the beach; cooking eating, going to two farmer's markets; cooking, eating, dancing to music on your great sound system; RELAXING, looking out on the many vistas; minutes away from Capitola--- a world away from our busy lives. Way beyond our expectations.

Fabulous Stay!!!

Frankly, I don't think the photos of the property do it justice. The house was spacious, nicely decorated (you must love blue to stay here), and extremely clean. The property is beautifully situated with a little peek of the ocean (plus sunsets) and a huge field of brussel sprouts in the distance. Apart from minimal traffic on the road (heard at the front of the house) and one railroad car that passes by daily at the back, the location is very quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was comfortable and clean and the hammock a nice treat. We (four middle aged women) felt welcomed by the house and rested from staying there. The kitchen was well stocked and cooking there was enjoyable. We all agreed: same time next year for sure!!
