Reef House is on Malolo Lailai Island, in the Mamanuca group of islands. This area has the highest sunlight hours in the world. It also has the lowest rainfall in the Pacific - an unbeatable tropical climate. The island is 553 tropical acres fringed by 10 kilometres of white sand beaches. It even has a sheltered lagoon which you can easily spend all day at relaxing. It's also close to some of Fiji's top surf breaks including Wilkes and Desperations, which are 15 minutes away by boat. With pristine white sandy beaches, waving palms and crystal blue waters, no wonder this area attracts almost 400,000 tourists each year.

Water Water Everywhere!
Most people simply find relaxing at the beach or by the pool the best way to pass time on Malolo Lailai Island. However for those looking for something more exciting, there is a host of water activities for you to get involved in. They include:

Boat Excursions
Sailing
Speed boat riding
Coral viewing
Scuba Diving
Snorkeling
Yacht Charter
Game Fishing
Walking & Jogging Trails
Beach Volleyball
Conference Facilities
Water Skiing
You can also visit other islands on a privately chartered water taxi.

As you can clearly see, this place is heaven for those who love the water. The house block even runs all the way to the waters edge, and there are superb beaches nearby in walking distance. There is also a good selection of swimming pools to choose from at the nearby resorts.

Access to resort facilities while staying in your own private secluded retreat! The house is independently owned from the major resorts - making it your own privately secluded retreat. But you still get all the benefits of staying at a resort. Two nearby resorts provide many facilities which are free of charge for Reef House guests. Musket Cove Resort has a boutique store, video room, Marina & Yacht Harbour and two swimming pools. You can also access for a mere $35 pp, unlimited use of snorkeling gear, windsurfers, canoes, kayaks and row boats for the duration of your stay. A baby-sitting service is also available at Musket Cove. Their website has more information on what activities and services are available. The Plantation Island Resort which is 25 minutes away, has a kids club and a late night disco for teenagers. They also have a website with more details. There is also a 9 hole golf course on Plantation Island.

Benefits Of Staying At Reef House
Unbeatable Privacy - The house offers you unbeatable privacy, while still accessing the best Fiji has to offer in water activities and an extremely friendly and welcoming culture.
Self Cater - You can self cater - saving money while eating fresh, home cooked meals. You can also entertain friends on the huge outdoor deck with a BBQ dinner. The cost of the house can even be shared between two families.
Serviced Home - Local Fijians staff the home and leave you to relax...as one satisfied client recently said "The staff who service the house were an unexpected bonus: Enoki the groundskeeper became fast friends with my 18-month-old on the first day and proceeded to take him for a ride in the wheelbarrow every morning after that, and the lovely maid, Vukei was very helpful and even left a gift of spa soap for the baby one day." (Amanda, Steve and James Hayes, Melbourne, VIC, Australia)
Eco-Friendly - Reef House has harnessed the wonders of an unspoiled and remote tropical paradise...more

After visiting the area for many years, my family worked out this is easily the best way to stay on the island.

Grant and Amy Ingram live in a small rural town called Dannevirke on the east coast of New Zealand. With their 2 children Bradley and Denver and 10 horses and ponies. We enjoy sharing our vacation home with other families from all around the world.

Why the Owner Chose Malolo Lailai

We enjoyed the Fijian people so much and the island is where we have been taking our vacations for many years..it is just such a paradise. We enjoy getting great emails back from guests like this.
Bula Grant & Amy!!!!!!
Where do I start? First of all thank you SO much for allowing us to stay in your lovely house! What a beautiful place!!!
Reef House, Musket Cove was beyond, far beyond our expectations! The house had everything that we needed and more! We were very comfortable, the bed was better than our one at home; air-conditioning was the cherry on the top. We loved the walk to Musket Cove and thought the resort was such a lovely place.
Your housekeeper is a lovely lady and just fitted in with us so well. She was another bonus!!!!

Joel when he said goodbye on Monday before he left via Singapore for London told his Dad that this was the best holiday that he has ever had. I agree. Nothing comes close.

Already our amazing holiday in Paradise feels like a dream but it is one that we can think on for years ahead! Our friends back home will be looking forward to hearing all about it. It is definitely my kind of holiday.

We will definitely be recommending Reef house to anyone who needs a place to recover from the stresses of life and to be able to just soak in such beauty although having said that I’d like to also keep it a secret!!!!!!!

Thank you so much again.

Best regards
Margaret and Eldon Fortmann
