Was down for a week early January 2012 to do some surfing, and this place worked out perfectly. A little ways back from the beach as described, it's very central to all the great surf breaks around the Rincon point. Place was clean and as expected, property manager/neighbour was a great character and very helpful, and Doc was helpful in recommending places to surf. Would stay there again for sure.

We stayed at Doc and Sara's place in December 2011. It was exactly as had been described. The house was clean and well-maintained with plenty of privacy and Doc emailed us places to go and things to do. We would recommend this property to anyone. We would recommend flying into Aguadilla instead of San Juan. We loved it so much, we have already booked again for this year! Our vacation was beyond what we expected. Thanks Doc!

We just returned from an incredible stay at this amazing house. Coincidentally, the owner, Bill was in residence on the first floor for the week and we had the opportunity to spend a little time getting to know each other. The neighbors, Cheo and his wife were friendly and very helpful. The house was immaculately clean and had everything needed to make us feel right at home. The location is just beautiful and the view from the wrap around balcony was breathtaking. The neighborhood is very safe and remarkably quiet and made for very peaceful times that we enjoyed immensely. We bought bread and pastries from the bakery down the street - both the Puntas Bakery and the one next door to the Lazy Parrot. Prices are great, bakery goods are really good. We had dinner at a couple of places -- the Calypso and also Tamboo Beside the Point. Excellent food, ocean view and ambience. If you want to cook, you can visit the local Econo Supermarket or Edwards. All in all, if you are looking to have a truly genuine experience in the REAL Puerto Rico, away from all the tourist traps, this is the place for you. Although we are not surfers (there is world class surfing here) we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We recommend this place without reservation and we will certainly be back as soon as we can.

Bill was great to work with. He responds quickly and is happy to share information about his home, things available to do and places to eat. We traveled in April 2011 with 4 adults. The house is simple, welcoming and accommodating. Location was great. Neighborhood is safe, very friendly, with an easy walk to restaurants and bakery. The trade winds always kept the house comfortable. The night time breezes made for a refreshing night’s sleep. We never needed to use the air conditioning. The view from the balcony was spectacular and a great place to enjoy morning coffee and late afternoon beverages. We enjoyed eating out as well as using the BBQ. The patio is comfortable and a great place to relax after a day in the sun. The oversized hot tub was a fun end to the day, as well as after dinner. It is perfect for star gazing. There is a hill that is easy to walk down, with a bit of a hike back up, but very manageable. It helped work off the scrumptious meals we enjoyed at the beach restaurants. When the surf is up, and rough for swimming, there is a nice beach 5 minutes’ drive near Tanio Divers. It is calm and you can snorkel right off the beach. We look forward to our next visit at this great house.

Clean and comfortable. Beautiful view, close to many things, and very nice owner. LOVED driving the narrow mountain roads. Easy access to quiet beaches and to Aguadilla for conveniences and good swimming beaches. Look forward to returning - thanks Bill : )

We had the pleasure of staying at Doc and Sara's place last December and had a wonderful time. We also had the pleasure of meeting Doc and Sara at the start of our trip. They were very welcoming and helpful in formulating our plans for a week long visit. Their home is clean, comfortable, and a great place to hang out and see the Island. We hope to return and will recommend Doc and Sara's place to family and friends.

I stayed at Doc and Sara's place in November and it was excellent choice. Watching the sun rise while having coffee in the morning on the wrap around porch with a view of Aguadilla is incredibly beautiful. The house was spotless and the furnishing brand new. The house is located in a very safe and quite neighborhood in Rincon, P R. His neighbors were friendly, and made us feel right at home. There was an excellent restaurant and surf shop within walking distance of the house. In addition, there was ample parking for my rental car ( which in P R is not always the case.) I highly recommend this secluded get away, if you are looking for something other than a beach side resort.

We had the best time at Doc & Sara's place in Rincon. Our days began on the upper level patio with coffee and fresh pastries from the bakery up the street. Breathtaking views over the bay. Every day we explored local eateries and beaches. Every night we relaxed in our spacious apartment with great food and cold drinks. And you just can't do better than a private pool! The neighbors were friendly and helpful. The drive to and from San Juan airport was a real adventure! Who could ask for anything more?

Our first time in Puerto Rico. Location was great. Beautiful beaches nearby. Some places we loved: Tamboo, great deck and food right on the beach; El Flamboyan for local food; Villa Cofresi and Lazy Parrot/Rumshack for sunsets (also good food); bakery next to Lazy Parrot for great lunchtime sandwiches. Loved early mornings on our private patio with superb PR coffee and finding those elusive, colorful birds in the treetops where we were sitting. Looking forward to a return visit and repeating the foregoing and also a couple of things we missed on our first visit!

I went with a group of 8 people (including myself) to Puerto Rico and rented this house. Bill, the home owner was a pleasure to deal with and quickly replied to all emails and questions I had. The house was very nice. It was clean, nicely decorated, fully furnished, a/c in almost every room, and well taken care of. The location was perfect, on a hillside with a beautiful view of the water, short distance to the beach (walk-able, but the walk home is up a hill), and walking distance to a few stores and restaurants, and a 5 minute drive to a small town that you can find anything you may need. The neighbor, Nancy, was also very accommodating. She is the caretaker of the house and took care of any problems that we had. There was a minor electrical problem, but Nancy took care of it and did not require any of us to stay at the house while the work was done, so it did not affect our vacation at all. I defiantly recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a nice, relaxing vacation.

8/23/09 This private home is located on a mountain overlooking the beach in Rincon, PR. The views are breathtaking and the home is exceptionally peacefull & wonderfull. We enjoyed staying on the Northwestern side of the island on this vacation; so many things to explore! We visited so many beautiful beaches up, down and East of the coast line and we especially enjoyed & miss the roosters crowing, the Coqui singing, the geckos and lizards chilling in the back yard and all the fresh fruit you want to pick! Also the weather in August is HOT, just the way I like it! We highly recommend staying at this exceptional home. The location is awesome and the homeowners Bill & Sara are the nicest and most accomodating. We are looking forward to our next visit to PR, hopefully it will be sooner than later. Jose & Ramona

Where do I begin...The house was very easy to find using the directions that were given. The next door neighbors Cheo and Miriam were very helpful with anything that we needed. The house was very clean and in a beautiful location. It was a 2 minute drive to the beach and Tamboo Beside the Point Restaurant and Bar. Lazy Parrot was also nearby. It is just a drive away from the many beaches of Rincon. The house is nestled away in a quiet, peaceful area on a hill with beautiful views of the ocean. The location of the house is perfect because you are able to get a nice breeze on very hot days. The house is very private and spacious inside and out. We stayed with my parents and 2, 4 year old daughters and they enjoyed the oversized Jacuzzi while we BBQ on the patio. Everything you need is in the house(towels, blankets, dishes, etc). Would recommend this house to anyone and looking forward to staying again for a longer stay. Thank you Bill for your prompt response and your great accomodation.
