GREAT VACATION AT ALPENVIEW!!

Beautiful site that is exactly as advertised. Owners were very accommodating and quickly responded to our several questions before the trip, which included Grocery locations and available Medical facilities for example. Alpenview is beautifully situated and affords great lake views during the day, and beautiful moon viewing during the night. After enjoying the local fare of food and grog during the day, our group retired to the HUGE DECK in mid-afternoon to enjoy the beautiful lake view with snacks/beverage before dinner. Simply beautiful. We took many pictures from Alpenview but none could top the actual views. We commend the owners for keeping Alpenview so well kept and presentable. To a person, our group 'voted' to return next year.

We absolutely loved our stay at Alpenview! We were blown away as soon as we walked in and saw the view. The house is clean, cozy and comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. It was so nice to wake up to the sun rising over the lake, and watch the mountains turn to pinks and oranges as the sun set in the evening. The owners were incredibly friendly and available to answer any questions we had. We hope to return next year, and wholeheartedly recommend Alpenview to anyone considering this listing!

I loved the view from the cabin. My friends and I had a great time just staying indoors - everything needed to have a comfortable stay was there. We enjoyed grilling on the deck, or making dinner in the kitchen; the main living area was perfect for listening to music or reading a novel while watching the lake and trees. It was quiet and peaceful in the morning - romantic at night with the moon shining on the lake. The owners gave us enough information regarding rental and operation of heating system etc, and were prompt in responding to any queries. They were extremely helpful and it was a pleasure to rent from them. All in all, being in the cabin for the view is worth it!!!

The cabin had all the comforts of home with an incredible view of the lake! We looked forward to watching the sunrise over the water from the large deck every morning. We had a wonderful time hiking the extensive nearby trails in the woods with the dogs. It was just a short walk down the hill to the beach for picnics and swimming in the afternoon. At night we sipped port beneath the stars. We even saw a shooting star, and I made a wish that we could enjoy such a lovely vacation every summer!

We had a fantastic stay at Alpenview. The house is beautiful with truly breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe, and the whole house exudes a comfortable, relaxing feel. There was plenty of room for the four of us. After a long hike or bike ride, we'd come home, cook dinner, and enjoy the view. We could not have imagined a more relaxing and welcoming home to spend our week!

We stayed for a wek in the Spring - early June and everything was beautiful. Close to the best views and attractions on the North and West shores. House could sleep nine - we had five. Plenty of room, very clean and well equipped and stocked with books, binoculars, chairs, grille, etc. The views from most rooms are fabulous !! The owners were very easy to work with, answered all of our questions before arrival and were very accomodating. I would definetely recommend this place for anyone and anytime of the year.

We just wanted to thank you for sharing your cabin with us. We visited Cedar Flat in March 2010, and were treated to perfect weather. It snowed the first night, then broke to two consecutive sunny days. The cabin is right in the middle of North Shore, allowing us to quickly get to Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows and be first on the lifts! It is back in a neat neighborhood that was so quiet and hidden that we actually strapped on our snowshoes from the end of the street and hiked up the mountain from there. The cabin is high enough to have great lake views from both the dining room and living room. It's fun to sit and have your coffee before skiing and take it all in. At night we made a nice fire and played some of the board games. Over all, the cabin had a rustic feel with modern amenities. We are already planning a summer trip to see what the lake itself has to offer. Thanks again.
