Two story Victorian Cottage. Living room with vaulted ceiling, kitchen, master bedroom and bath on first floor. Second floor bedroom with twin beds and youth cot.
The Cottage is located on a private road in the historic town of Searsport Maine:The Penobscot Marine Museum, library, restaurants, bookstores and grocery are all within a short walking distance, as is the beautiful seaside Town park and dock on Searsport harbor.
Refurbished in 2008, it retains the old fashioned charm of a victorian cottage. From the great room, the french doors open onto the deck affording panoramic views of windjammer schooners and working lobster boats. Access to the shore is about 400 feet.
In the "Age of Sail",the small town of Searsport Maine provided 10% of all the sea captains in the U.S. Clippership trade and was a shipbuilding center.
Today Searsport is known as the "Antique Capital of Maine", with many stores and flea markets nearby. The largest commercial and pleasure boat marine supply store in New England is in Searsport, along with a very well known ship model builders supply and retail store.
This cottage is not available from Oct. 15 to May 15.

A perfect July !

We stayed at Nancy's Victorian Cottage for the month of July and everything about it was perfect. The cottage is even more beautiful than the photo's. Very comfortable ! Sitting on the deck overlooking the Penobscot Bay with our morning Coffee was priceless! Jim's favorite time was "anytime" sitting on the deck enjoying the veiw. Being from Searsport, I needed to get up close and personal with the seaweed, rocks and swimming in the cool clear water! Everyday I combed the beach for shells, seaglass and any other treasures among the rocks. I also enjoyed having my great-grandchildren come and visit. Swimming , beach combing and playing games. Maddie , our Australian Terrier, felt right at home and enjoyed it all. It was a perfect month including the weather. Thank you Nancy! We look forward to next summer.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Loved the feel of the cottage. Had great breezes through the double doors. Perfect for a couple or small family. Roomy and bright with lots of little touches. Nice towels and sheets and the kitchen is like being at home. Has everything you could need. I would recommend this cottage to anyone that asked. Well done!

I was fortunate to find this cottage at the last minute and I am glad it was available. A nice cottage for 2 or a small family with 1 or 2 kids. The living room was open and there was plenty of natural lighting to give a beach cottage feel. The deck was nice for relaxing and reading, as well as for eating a meal. The views from the deck were enjoyable, as we were able to see harbor seals, as well as all types of boats. The kitchen was was big enough for meal preparations with ease. The cottage had little touches to make the stay more enjoyable. Binoculars for viewing, books and pamphlets to plan our days, and was fully supplied with beach chairs and towels. The best thing of all was that it was pet friendly and Buddy was even provided with his own dog bed.
