This lovely 1800s building has been completely renovated and converted to a professionally decorated three level vacation home with 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.
On the main level, pass through the welcoming entry into a large sophisticated living room/dining room. The living room sleep-sofa faces a 47" wall-mounted TV screen. A red leather chair provides additional seating for viewing TV or enjoying the ambiance of the gas fireplace. The large, unique square table seats 8 on leather Parsons chairs. The fully equipped kitchen and the half bath are also on this level.
The second bedroom is on the lowest level and separated from the master bedroom suite by the living room level. It holds 2 twin beds and a set of bunk beds. This bedroom and bathroom are decorated in a fun '70s style, with lots of vivid colors and designs. It's equipped with a telephone, a radio/alarm clock with an iPod dock, 2 electronic charging stations, a 32" LCD TV, and a DVD player.
The master bedroom suite is luxurious, with an upholstered king size bed, a Sleep Number mattress, an antique desk, 2 unique chairs, and a beautiful dresser and bedside table. The bathroom is very special and includes a double Jacuzzi, a large separate shower, several cabinets, and a flokati rug for barefoot comfort. Three skylights and several windows illuminate this suite with lovely natural light. It's also equipped with a telephone, a radio/alarm clock with an iPod dock, 2 electronic charging stations, a 32" LCD TV, and a DVD player.

This year we wanted to take our family on a different type of vacation. After vacationing mainly in the south, I wanted to take my family on an east coast vacation. Previously, I had been to Cape Cod a few times but discover the "other" cape while searching VRBO. Cape Ann turned out to be a wonderful experience. The carriage house at Lanes Cove was spacious and beautiful. The pictures do not due the house justice. It was perfect for a family of four but could accommodate five or six nicely. The property was clean and well maintained. The evenings we do not go out for dinner, we ate outside on the lawn. Afterward we were able to either walk down a private path to Lanes Cove and watch the sunset or walk to Plum Cove Beach which was only 4/10 of a mile from the house. This became our go to beach as we did not need to drive and pay to park at on of the larger public beaches. While initially the cost was a little more than I had planned to spend, the money was well worth it. The newness, cleanliness, and proximity to everything on the north shore made this a great buy. And if you are into running, you are not far from Dogtown Commons. I was able to hook up with Team Gloucester and they guided me on a 90 minute trail run through Dogtown Common. This was an added bonus of the trip.

Anna provided the perfect place for a dream vacation. Not only the house, but the hospitality was so welcoming. We are back in California now but will always hold this as a special place. Wow, what a gem this vacation home is, my family of 4 loved it. Everything is exceptionally well kept and all essentials are there for your use. My 2 kids were thrilled with their room and became spoiled by the luxuries of it all. The pictures and descriptions are all accurate, but you certainly have to see it for yourself to appreciate how beautiful and comfortable the owner has made this former barn. I highly recommend it for couples and families with children.
