The owner was very easy to communicate with and very accomodating. Although the kitchen was extremely sparse, most everything we needed to cook 2 lovely dinners was available. House was just as described. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone wanting to spend time at Carolina, Kure or Wrightsville beach.

We had a delightful experience at the Mulberry Pineapple Inn. It is a small, cute, and clean rental property that is conveniently located for a trip to the beach, the mall, or the downtown area. The owner is helpful, prompt, and courteous in answering any questions. We would recommend this property to our friends and relatives visting Wilmington and would rent it again ourselves.

Pineappple inn was JUST what we needed to make our vacation visit to Wilmington great. Exactly as it was advertised and more. Comfortable, centrally located for our needs - we have relatives near - and very reasonably priced, we just couldn't find ONE thing to say anything negative about. The place is so very nicely decorated, and very clean. We were pleased with every aspect of this trip. We'll be back there the next time we come to Wilmington (even if we need to change the vacation dates to do it). We would - and have - recommended this place to people we know. We would do the same to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay, for a weekend, or a month. Thanks Suzanne!

The Pineapple Inn on Mulberry is a perfect spot to stay in Wilmington! It's in a great location, 10 minutes from Wrightsville Beach and 15 minutes from downtown. The house is very well appointed and had everything we needed. We always had hot water for our showers and it was comfortable inside when it was almost 100 degrees outside. We would definitely recommend this place to others and rent it again whenever we come back to Wilmington!

I stayed here last summer for a few days before my larger family got in town for our annual vacation at one of the huge rental houses in the area. I was by myself and much prefer a small place that is not a hotel as I usually work virtual for a few days to spread out the long drives a little further. This place certainly fit the bill. The kitchen was clean and just right for my needs. The living room and bedroom were also just right. Internet was kind of slow but like most rental places (and hotels) the owners usually cannot justify the type of high speed I would have at home. My 4G air card helped. For most people it would be fine but I am in IT for a living and use a lot of bandwidth. Everything else was in perfect working order as advertised. The only thing keeping me from giving this place 5 stars is the awkward layout of the bathroom and shower. I am a big guy but not that tall and pretty much anything you do in there was claustrophobic at best, and just plain did not fit most of the time. The shower is very small and my knees would hit the vanity when seated. In all fairness that is a tough problem to solve in the space that they have. The owner was very accommodating for my last minute reservation. There was plenty of off street parking and handled my full size quad cab long bed pickup fine and could have accommodated a large boat trailer as well. The place was not the lap of luxury but it certainly worked for what I wanted. Much better than a hotel and I would stay there again if the circumstances work out.

This was our second time staying in one of Suzanne's houses. The cottage met our needs perfectly. Suzanne's properties are meticulously maintained and well stocked with the basic necessities. The entire process beginning with our initial request to rent the cottage for a week to our checkout was flawless. Suzanne is an efficient business woman as well as a very pleasant and accomodating person.

We found the house to be in a nice area, with great access to downtown Wilmington, the beach, dining, shopping and any thing else you could want or need for a long weekend get away. It was well maintained, comfortable and private, we especially enjoyed the small deck for an evening of grilling out and relaxing. Suzanne we will definitely be back in touch the next time we are in Wilmington.

The weekend of the Azalea Festival, you would expect to pay high prices for a so, so hotel room. Well, this little cottage was a super find. After reading the many comments on this listing, we decided to book it for a wedding of a good friend nearby. It's not often you get what is advertised in some of the listings online but this one was very accurate. The entire place was very comfortable and only a very short drive downtown. Walking a few blocks, even in the rain was easy to say the least. We very much look forward to returning to Wilmington and Suzanne will be the first one we contact. Thank you Suzanne for a wonder stay.

I just recently stayed at the Pineapple Inn on Mulberry-Sept. 27- Oct. 3, 2010. ( The week of 23" of record-setting rainfall!) Fortunately, I was staying at a location that was free from flooding and equi-distant from Wrightsville Beach and downtown Wilmington. The listing description was totally accurate and the photos reflected the rental's appearance and amenities. The property was clean and well-maintained. I found both the queen-sized bed and futon to be very comfortable. And yes, I would stay here again and recommend the property to friends and relatives! Wireless was a plus! Thank you for this opportunity!

We found this small house clean, in a quiet but convenient location and decent neighborhood. There is a lot of parking space. Convenient to downtown/historic Wilmington and beaches. Kitchen and laundry facilities were nice. Plenty of hot water. The towels and bed linens were adequate. Biggest concern/problem was that the mattress/box spring on the full sized bed was lumpy, squishy, not supportive. We had problems sleeping on it. There is a futon in the living room. Though the mattress on the futon is not a great one, the futon was more comfortable a the mattress is right on top of wooden slats that provided a little support. Bring your own toilet paper, facial tissues, alarm clock dishwasher soap, trash bags, cleaning items and (if you will want one) crockpot.
Owner response:I'm glad this guest enjoyed staying at this house except for the mattress problem. I have never had a complaint about the mattress from previous guests(numerous repeat guests), but I will certainly be investigating this because I highly value guest satisfaction as the guest reviews show. I appreciate this guest making me aware of the problem she experienced with the mattress.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Pineapple Inn on Mulberry a few weeks ago and had a great time! The house is adorable and just the right size for a small family or couple. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped and the cottage offers you all the comforts of your own home. We saved a lot of money by being able to cook our meals instead of going out. We also used the washer/dryer almost every day after we would get back from the beach. It was just another GREAT amenity to the house! The cottage is located in a awesome spot in Wilmington. We always felt safe. It was only a 10-15 minute drive to downtown, beaches and the North Carolina Naval Ship. It was only 5 minutes to UNCW, large retailers and grocery stores. I have a medical conditions, so it was comforting to know that there was a hospital just a few blocks up the road. It was also close to the main highways, which is always a plus when you are from out of town! Thanks Suzanne for letting us call the Pineapple Inn "home" and we hope to visit again when my niece becomes a UNCW Seahawk.

There are no words to describe the level of service and accommodation provided at the Pineapple Inn. It's absolutely gorgeous and comfortable, with luxurious linens, adorable decor and homemade pineapple jam! The kitchen had all the fixings for gourmet meal preparation, and the living room had that 'at home' feel! The location was perfect for sightseeing, about halfway between the beach and downtown. We will most definitely stay again and again! THANK YOU for a lovely vacation!! :D

Suzanne, thanks so very much for creating such a lovely little cottage. I have truly enjoyed my stay of nearly 2 months at the Pineapple Inn on Mulberry. It is just perfect! Felt like home and made staying away from my own home so long, bearable. You thought of everything and provided me with a home that was comfortable, inviting, cozy and pleasant. The kitchen is especially well appointed and has every convenience anyone could want. I also love the location of the cottage...there is an historic community quite nearby and a whole food grocer within walking distance. If and when I return to Wilmington, I will hope to return to "my little cottage"! Gosh! It was so much better than staying in a hotel.

This little house is perfect for those who are "on a budget" but still want nice, comfortable accomodations. My husband and I really appreciated returning to "Pineapple" after a busy day of touring Wilmington and the surrounding area. So much better than a hotel room! My only complaint is, the kitchen is perhaps "too well appointed....we dined "in" more than I would have liked to while on vacation! But the thought of coming "home" at the end of a busy day, opening a bottle of wine, and enjoying the peace and quiet while putting a dinner together was very nice indeed, so I guess I didn't mind a bit of cooking after all! I hope we can return again sometime in the future. Thanks again!

The appliances were very new and updated and it was great to have the washer and dryer there after a long day at the beach.
