My boyfriend and I stayed at the Pineapple Inn during our trip to Wilmington for the Azalea Festival. It was absolutely perfect for our trip! Great location, close to the beach and only a short drive to the downtown area. The house itself was great! The pictures really don't do it justice. Everything was clean and neat! I will definitely stay here next time I am in Wilmington! Everything was perfect and the owner was a breeze to work with! Thanks Suzanne :)

We spent two weeks at the Pineapple Inn on a trip to decide if we wanted to move to Wilmington. The location was excellent - very central. The accommodations were clean and well-maintained, and the owner was very available and helpful with the few questions we had. The inn was exactly as advertised. The neighborhood was pleasantly residential, though convenient to main thoroughfares. All in all an excellent value.

This place was just right for me. The location is very good. You are close to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, and a Gym which mean a lot to me. The place was clean, cozy, and quiet.

I stayed here for several weeks while visiting my daughter at UNCW. It is very close to the campus and the location was central to everything. The owners are very nice as well. I loved the well appointed kitchen! I felt very much "at home" in this home away from home. Everything was clean and comfortable. As a bonus, it looks like there is a Trader Joe's opening up soon right down the road! I will definitely stay here again!

We spent 5 nights here. Pricing was incredible. The location was great. 5 or so miles from Wrightsville beach. Only a few miles from downtown Wilmington and the riverwalk. Very close to a number of great places to eat and a nice grocery store. More than enough room for two. Very clean. All the amenities you could ask for plus a few. Kitchen was nice and enough appliances and wares to cook most any meal. The washer and dryer are also a plus. Wifi was good. Nice quiet neighborhood. Never felt unsafe. Owner was very friendly on the phone and easy to set payment up. She uses paypal which I prefer for security. The cleaning fee was much lower than other rentals we looked into. We liked it so much we stayed two extra nights. Parking off the street was great. I cannot say enough great things about this little house and would stay here again if we return to this area. The grill could use some work. The starter wasn't working and the propane was empty. No big deal. We do like to grill and made one nice meal while we were here as to break up the eating out a little bit. The grill issue does not change my recommendation to stay here or my 5 star rating.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, we actually stayed 3nights. Property was close to everything that we wanted to do and we had no issues when we returned late at night and completely exhausted. The house was very well kept and in a quiet neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks Suzanne

This really is a lovely and cozy little rental! Suzanne is really a marvel at making the rooms feel open and spacious and peaceful -- the lovely wall colors, the coordinating furniture pieces, the nice little decorator details everywhere all harmonized beautifully. My fiancee Josh and I enjoyed playing "find the pineapples" in each room on our first day here! The kitchen is well-stocked and the stackable laundry available whenever we needed it was an appreciated convenience. The cottage is located in a pretty, quiet little neighborhood near everything we wanted. We've discussed taking some honeymoon nights here -- that was how much we loved our experience. Thanks for maintaining such a joyful little nest, Suzanne. I cannot recommend this rental highly enough.

The rest of our family was staying in the larger Pineapple Inn next door so this location was perfect for visiting with them, yet having our separate space. We were within a short drive of Downtown Wilmington and also the area beaches. Everything was so neat and clean when we arrived. I really enjoyed having the ice maker in the freezer so we could have iced tea on hand. We will recommend this little getaway to anyone we know coming to Wilmington and will definitely stay here again if we get the chance.

The Pineapple Inn is in a perfectly central location, with the beach and downtown both close by. The house itself is a perfect size for a couple, and has a lovely atmosphere (complete with a pineapple theme). We will use this again when we go to Wilmington and heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

We had a delightful experience at the Mulberry Pineapple Inn. It is a small, cute, and clean rental property that is conveniently located for a trip to the beach, the mall, or the downtown area. The owner is helpful, prompt, and courteous in answering any questions. We would recommend this property to our friends and relatives visting Wilmington and would rent it again ourselves.

Pineappple inn was JUST what we needed to make our vacation visit to Wilmington great. Exactly as it was advertised and more. Comfortable, centrally located for our needs - we have relatives near - and very reasonably priced, we just couldn't find ONE thing to say anything negative about. The place is so very nicely decorated, and very clean. We were pleased with every aspect of this trip. We'll be back there the next time we come to Wilmington (even if we need to change the vacation dates to do it). We would - and have - recommended this place to people we know. We would do the same to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay, for a weekend, or a month. Thanks Suzanne!

The Pineapple Inn on Mulberry is a perfect spot to stay in Wilmington! It's in a great location, 10 minutes from Wrightsville Beach and 15 minutes from downtown. I stayed here last summer for a few days before my larger family got in town for our annual vacation at one of the huge rental houses in the area. I was by myself and much prefer a small place that is not a hotel as I usually work virtual for a few days to spread out the long drives a little further. This place certainly fit the bill. The kitchen was clean and just right for my needs. The living room and bedroom were also just right. Internet was kind of slow but like most rental places (and hotels) the owners usually cannot justify the type of high speed I would have at home. My 4G air card helped. For most people it would be fine but I am in IT for a living and use a lot of bandwidth. Everything else was in perfect working order as advertised. The only thing keeping me from giving this place 5 stars is the awkward layout of the bathroom and shower. I am a big guy but not that tall and pretty much anything you do in there was claustrophobic at best, and just plain did not fit most of the time. The shower is very small and my knees would hit the vanity when seated. In all fairness that is a tough problem to solve in the space that they have. The owner was very accommodating for my last minute reservation. There was plenty of off street parking and handled my full size quad cab long bed pickup fine and could have accommodated a large boat trailer as well. The place was not the lap of luxury but it certainly worked for what I wanted. Much better than a hotel and I would stay there again if the circumstances work out.

This was our second time staying in one of Suzanne's houses. The cottage met our needs perfectly. Suzanne's properties are meticulously maintained and well stocked with the basic necessities. The weekend of the Azalea Festival, you would expect to pay high prices for a so, so hotel room. Well, this little cottage was a super find. After reading the many comments on this listing, we decided to book it for a wedding of a good friend nearby. It's not often you get what is advertised in some of the listings online but this one was very accurate. The entire place was very comfortable and only a very short drive downtown. Walking a few blocks, even in the rain was easy to say the least. We very much look forward to returning to Wilmington and Suzanne will be the first one we contact. Thank you Suzanne for a wonder stay.

I just recently stayed at the Pineapple Inn on Mulberry-Sept. 27- Oct. 3, 2010. ( The week of 23" of record-setting rainfall!) Fortunately, I was staying at a location that was free from flooding and equi-distant from Wrightsville Beach and downtown Wilmington. The listing description was totally accurate and the photos reflected the rental's appearance and amenities. The property was clean and well-maintained. I found both the queen-sized bed and futon to be very comfortable. And yes, I would stay here again and recommend the property to friends and relatives! Wireless was a plus! Thank you for this opportunity!

We found this small house clean, in a quiet but convenient location and decent neighborhood. There is a lot of parking space. Convenient to downtown/historic Wilmington and beaches. Kitchen and laundry facilities were nice. Plenty of hot water. The towels and bed linens were adequate. Biggest concern/problem was that the mattress/box spring on the full sized bed was lumpy, squishy, not supportive. We had problems sleeping on it. There is a futon in the living room. Though the mattress on the futon is not a great one, the futon was more comfortable a the mattress is right on top of wooden slats that provided a little support. Bring your own toilet paper, facial tissues, alarm clock dishwasher soap, trash bags, cleaning items and (if you will want one) crockpot.

Owner response: I'm glad this guest enjoyed staying at this house except for the mattress problem. I have never had a complaint about the mattress from previous guests(numerous repeat guests), but I will certainly be investigating this because I highly value guest satisfaction as the guest reviews show. I appreciate this guest making me aware of the problem she experienced with the mattress.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Pineapple Inn on Mulberry a few weeks ago and had a great time! The house is adorable and just the right size for a small family or couple. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped and the cottage offers you all the comforts of your own home. We saved a lot of money by being able to cook our meals instead of going out. We also used the washer/dryer almost every day after we would get back from the beach. It was just another GREAT amenity to the house! The cottage is located in a awesome spot in Wilmington. We always felt safe. It was only a 10-15 minute drive to downtown, beaches and the North Carolina Naval Ship. It was only 5 minutes to UNCW, large retailers and grocery stores. I have a medical conditions, so it was comforting to know that there was a hospital just a few blocks up the road. It was also close to the main highways, which is always a plus when you are from out of town! Thanks Suzanne for letting us call the Pineapple Inn "home" and we hope to visit again when my niece becomes a UNCW Seahawk.

Suzanne, thanks so very much for creating such a lovely little cottage. I have truly enjoyed my stay of nearly 2 months at the Pineapple Inn on Mulberry. It is just perfect! Felt like home and made staying away from my own home so long, bearable. You thought of everything and provided me with a home that was comfortable, inviting, cozy and pleasant. The kitchen is especially well appointed and has every convenience anyone could want. I also love the location of the cottage...there is an historic community quite nearby and a whole food grocer within walking distance. If and when I return to Wilmington, I will hope to return to "my little cottage"! Gosh! It was so much better than staying in a hotel.

This little house is perfect for those who are "on a budget" but still want nice, comfortable accomodations. My husband and I really appreciated returning to "Pineapple" after a busy day of touring Wilmington and the surrounding area. So much better than a hotel room! My only complaint is, the kitchen is perhaps "too well appointed....we dined "in" more than I would have liked to while on vacation! But the thought of coming "home" at the end of a busy day, opening a bottle of wine, and enjoying the peace and quiet while putting a dinner together was very nice indeed, so I guess I didn't mind a bit of cooking after all! I hope we can return again sometime in the future. Thanks again!

Suzanne, I want to thank you for providing such a clean and peaceful place for my son and I on our trip to Wilmington. It had all the necessities that we needed and the location was great. We were able to easily get to all the attractions that we wanted to see. My son and I again say thanks for providing your place and suppling us with memories that will last a lifetime. Thanks, Bill & Brooks Hovis

The Pineapple Inn was the perfect place for me, my husband and 3 year old daughter to stay for the weekend. It was very clean, cozy and had a very well appointed kitchen! The appliances were very new and updated and it was great to have the washer and dryer there after a long day at the beach. Our daughter loved sleeping on the Futon-style bed in the living room - she felt like a BIG girl! I loved the pineapple theme throughout the home as a welcoming sign of hospitality. Thanks so much! Words cannot express our gratitude and our enjoyment of living in this cute little house for 1 month. The time went sooo fast. The location was so great and close to so many venues, especially Wrightsville Beach. It was nice meeting you, Suzanne, and your daughter and sister. We appreciate the hospitality of the Pineapple Inn on Mulberry and the convenience of a washer, dryer & refrigerator. We saved lots of $$ and calories eating breakfast and lunch in, as well as some great home cooked suppers. We will definitely keep this place in mind when we return to Wilmington to find our new home. We love the area and the wonderful people we have met. Thank you so much!

This little "bungalow" provided the perfect place for my daughter, and new grandaughter to have our first visit together. It was a very special time for us, in your very special little house. It was very clean and didn't lack for anything we needed. We will definitely be back, thanks! Stephanie
