The unique architecture boasts high exposed ceilings to allow for cool, comfortable living areas, rounded out by the rich hardwood floors and warm earth tone color scheme. Its efficient design employs flowing sea-breezes and big, shady trees to create cool spaces, and natural barriers to sun and the passerby.
Located at the end of a lonely road, Minglewood Cottage has the feeling of seclusion where only the calls of native birds interrupt the sound of the ocean waves crashing along the sandy beach - Yet it is just a short walk to the town center of quaint shops, restaurants and bars, and a short 2 minute jaunt to the beach. The famous Nipper's Bar is less than a 10 minute walk down the beach, and the grocery store is even closer.
Amenities such as A/C, washer/dryer, and dishwasher bring the conveniences of home right to the Islands. Our well-appointed kitchen boasts butcher block counter tops, gas range, ice-maker, and roomy fridge – and is the hub of this home's open, flowing floor plan and social ambiance. Bedrooms have private access to the aft sun deck and BBQ station, which doubles as a most incredible star-gazing lounge. The 250 square- foot screened, outdoor living room provides a great space for entertaining or simply enjoying the peace of this quiet island town.
