Lovely decor but still very comfortable

This was the perfect solution for our family Christmas holiday. We had five adults together the week before Christmas and the house was warm, welcoming - even decorated! The location was perfect to take advantage of the Broadmoor festivities, and the neighborhood was full of Christmas lights at night. It is very easy to be out on excursions for the day, or out on foot just to make room for dessert. Groceries and take-out dinners are only a few minutes away. Everything you could want is provided - and everything is in perfect working order. Plenty of parking, too. FYI logistically: the upstairs hall bath is shared by 3 of the bedrooms, with the other 2 baths in the upstairs master and the basement suite; w/ powder room on main level. A great value and so much more comfortable than a hotel, don't hesitate!

Our family spent a week living in this amazing house and it wasn't nearly long enough! The house is very clean, very spacious and beautifully decorated! We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and cool evenings spent outside in the hot tub. We had no complaints and would highly recommend this property for a fun, family friendly destination!!!!

Merrywood Manor

Thanks to our well-appointed abode, we wanted for nothing at Merrywood Manor. We have rented many homes through the years, but none so beautifully decorated and welcoming as this one. So often, rental homes are sparsely and cheaply furnished-not Merrywood. Diane and Terry have put so much thought into even the small details--games, books, everything from coffee (and filters) to laundry detergent. There were plenty of extra paper towels, bath tissue and bath towels. The home was clean and well-maintained. Terry greeted us upon arrival, showed us around the property and answered our questions. He gave us his phone number and said to call anytime if we needed anything. The neighborhood was most attractive, upscale, quiet and safe--loved that! We frequently had the french doors open with absolutely no concerns. All in all, our favorite home ever! There was plenty to do in and near Colorado Springs. Our favorite attractions were Pioneer Village in CS--very authentic and inexpensive, the Mollie Kathleen gold mine tour in Cripple Creek, and white water rafting. Our ages ranged from 8 to 65 and we all had a great time.

My whole family stayed at Merrywood Manor for a week this month. The house was beautiful. Everyone had a great time. The house was close to all the things we wanted to see and do. Diane and Terry were very helpful and helped to make our stay enjoyable. We would recommend this property to anyone. Even with 16 people (8 adults and 8 children) we had enough room and space for everyone.

This was a wonderful home to have a gang of family or friends together. Our "party" was four siblings and their spouses and the space available was great to accomodate all of us. We would all recommend Merrywood to everyone.

Our family stayed at the Merrywood Manor in August 2010 for our son's wedding. We had 12 adults and 6 children. This was the greatest experience ever with more than enough room for everyone. The property and yard were beautiful and the Home was better than any 4 or 5 star hotel we've ever stayed at. The Furnishings and ambiance were beautiful and comfortable. The staff, Diane, Alisa and Terry were warm and accomodating. We hope to return there soon. The very best time ever and we saved money.

WOW is the best way to describe this home. The pictures on the website are great, but certainly don't come close to the 'up-close-and-personal' experience. What a beautiful neighborhood, and a fantastic view from any one of the may decks, patios and porches. The rooms are huge, which made it a wonderful home for our family of 10. It's so close to all the great tourist sights around the Springs area. Even if it wasn't so convenient, we'd come back! Thanks for the chance to stay in your great home!

We had a wonderful week in this house. We were in The Springs for a figure skating competition at the World Arena. Great location, minutes from World Arena, Zoo and Seven Falls. The kids loved seeing the deer visiting in the back yard in the evening. House was excellent! Cozy enough to have family time, but big enough to escape from the kids when you need to.

We had plenty of room for four couples and several youth and children to spread out throughout the home. The location is perfect and the common living spaces are roomy. The property owner was helpful and accommodating and booking the weekend was also a very easy process.
