Dear Capri, I am hoping you get this note. I know that your e-mail address was hacked into, and I can't remember when the happened. Allen and I want to thank you for letting us rent your wonderful apartment. It was wonderful, and we can't tell you how much fun we had in the Big Apple! We would stay there again in a heartbeat. In fact we would do the entire cruise again. Again, thanks for helping us out with your apartment. It is perfectly located, and the people in the gift shop were very nice. If you ever want to come to Colorado let us know. We will be happy to find you lodging, and give you a great time!

Three of us stayed here this past October for a weekend in NYC. The place worked out really well...it is in a very central location close to Times Square/Theater District and near the 8th Avenue subway line. I don't want to repeat what others have mentioned, so I thought I would highlight some of the things that may not be so readily apparent: - Luggage storage was available and very convenient, but note that the gift shop where you drop it off doesn't open until 9am so don't plan on leaving anything until then. - Be alerted that this is a second floor walk up. My dad is 83 years old and could do the fairly long set of stairs, but he is in very good shape. Others might find it a bit difficult. - There are basic cooking supplies, but don't expect tons of bells and whistles. For example, there is only a 4-cup coffee pot. The goal is to provide enough to function, but it isn't like you'll have the supplies or want to make elaborate meals here. - There can definitely be a bit of street noise...the solution to that for us was to turn the fan of the air conditioner on during the night to drown out the sirens, etc. - Two people can fit in the bed, but the futon is pretty basic, i.e., foam pad Overall, though, you can't beat this combination of location and price. It is clean, neat and the bathroom is very nice. And, unlike a hotel, you don't have to worry about the housekeeper being in your room when you want to stop back in and take a little nap. I am a VRBO owner myself and have rented several VRBO properties in the past. This is definitely a good value.

Wonderful location

We stayed here the middle of October for three nights, and this apartment was a huge surprise in that it is wonderful! Extremely clean, comfortable bed, clean linens and towels. It is a block from Broadway shows, Restaurant Street, walking distance to Central Park, off Broadway, and a close cab drive to Little Italy. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! What a great area we were in the middle of everything ,only one block to Time Sq and in the middle of the Theatre District we could walk everywhere only needed a cab once and yes it is VERY noisy but it is New York and you on a Main Road, the windows are double glazed but you just couldn't hide from the noise. We stayed in unit 2 which was a big mistake it is at the front on level 2 and is right on the road and you are next door to an Irish Pub and at 2am they all come out drunk and start yelling at each other like all new Yorkers seem to do, it sounded like they were in the room with us and for some reason there seems to be either a Police Car,Ambulance or Fire Truck with sirens going every 2 minutes but thats New York. EVERYTHING on the web page is honest and accurate the photo's and the description is spot on and it is VERY good value and the PC in the room was FANTASTIC to keep in touch with family and friends back home If we went back to New York we would stay in the same area but NOT on a busy main road.

We stayed here New Years Eve week and I will say it IS close to everything. We walked to most places we went to. It is clean (looks just like the pictures) and there is a good supply of almost everything. Water provided? Well if you mean 4 small bottles for 2 people for 5 days then it is provided. When I asked for more I was told to buy it. Also 3 towels for 5 days - I just don't like reusing them. Then there was the radiator from hell. I guess being from the south I just don't know how these things work (and was not told anything about it) but the clanging noise all night or the hissing sounds in the morning or the water going everywhere if you touch it was just not for me. Besides the radiator noise there was the street noise. Bring ear plugs! Or maybe go in the summer.

Recommended for:Tourists without a car.

Great location, not great for 3 people

This apartment is in an excellent location for a tourist who wants to be close to the action of Times Square and the Theatre District. You can walk to any Broadway theatre as well as Restaurant Row in 5 to 10 minutes, and the location is close to several subway lines for easy access around the city. It was great having access to a fridge, microwave and stove which you don't get at a hotel, and there is a Food Emporium four or five short blocks away (an easy walk). Good selection of dishes and utensils and great bath towels! Ample paper products were provided in the kitchen and bathroom. The apartment & amenities were clean & the furniture in good condition. The in-room computer, internet access and the free local & long-distance telephone were also an added feature to this suite. For those trying to take advantage of 3 or 4 person accomodation, we found that the twin-sized "sleeper sofa" was not comfortable. It folds out to a thin mattress resting right on the hardwood floor, and it did not provide sufficient support - half feels like there is a hard board right at the surface (under your shoulders), while the fold-out section is only foam that does not support an adult's body weight. We also had to ask for an extra set of sheets for the sleeper sofa (even though we had booked & confirmed for 3 people) and only received a bottom fitted sheet (no top sheet / pillow cases). Only one additional blanket & pillow were provided in the suite, which may not be sufficient for some travellers. A trip to JCP was required to round out the bedding needs for our stay. The bedroom did get stuffy with the door closed - the only way to allow for air circulation was to leave the bedroom double-door open at night to benefit from the air conditioner. Light sleepers may find the noise from the comedy club next door as well as the street noise distracting (this unit faces the street on the 2nd level). The club was next to the outer wall of the bedroom, and noise carried into the room until 3am. The A/C unit blocked most noise from disturbing those in the living room. Light sleepers should also consider that the blinds will not perfectly block out all street light pollution at night (as one would experience at a hotel). Welcome to New York City!

Perfect "Pad in the City"

The location of this apartment was perfect for the vacation my husband and I created for our 18-year-old niece to see NYC for her first time. Close to EVERYTHING! Times Square, Broadway theaters, metro train stations, grocery stores, restaurants, shopping. What else is there?!? Clean, comfortable, secure, small 2nd story apartment with a/c, private bedroom, flat screen TV, high speed internet 24/7, and kitchen for full meal preparation or to assemble simple snacks to eat there or "on the road." SO much better than a hotel room and more like having a "home away from home." Perfect for the 3 of us. We went "day tripping" daily to Ellis Island, City tours, shopping, Central Park . . . then came back to rest where it was cool and comfortable. Then back out to Broadway shows in the evening. Owner was helpful and responsive. . . eager to take care of our needs! A perfect trip!

Lovely Apartment

What at perfect apartment and perfect location. The apartment was super cute and clean!!! And described perfectly in description. Owner responded quickly to all questions ask prior to rental. Pluses to renting this unit are.....the ability to store luggage in Owner owned gift shop below rental unit before and after check in and out. Multiple rentals in same building if traveling with other couples or many friends. Gift shop employees very helpful and friendly in many ways. Free Internet access!! Walking distance to EVERYTHING!!! And what a BARGIN!!!!!!
