Our family of three had a wonderful, relaxing time at Peaceful Sancutary between Christmas and New Year's Day. Pam, the owner, is helpful and friendly, and easy to contact. The house is very comfortable, with charming decor. We like it better than our own house! We really loved the animals: alpacas, goats, chickens, kitty and especially Olivia the tiny but mighty. Fresh eggs were a nice treat! It's great fun to watch the many birds visiting feeder, and the squirrels are so funny. The house is close to town, but not right in town, so the atmosphere is quiet and more country than city. There is a convenient bus stop nearby, and be sure to get fresh produce from the Johnson Farm stand down the road. Pam made a special effort to take us to visit another alpaca farm, and we had a great time. We would recommend Peaceful Sanctuary to others, certainly. Thanks a bunch, Pam!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: It is my goal to make your stay at my farm be a wonderful experience that you will carry with you a lifetime.

Pam, So much fun for all of us, especially Bella our 2 year old great granddaughter who loved picking up apples and feeding carrots to the Alpacas & apples to the goats. Bella loved Olivia and was a changed little girl. From being shy, to being happy and full of life, laughing and singing. It has been a magical and enchanting experience just like you promised. Thank you so much. Philip, Carol and BellaRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for giving me the opportunity to create happy memories for Bella that she will carry for a lifetime.

My husband and eleven year old son stayed here for 3 nights in July and felt we were part of Pam's family.. The house was quiet, the beds comfortable and we enjoyed making breakfast with the delicious fresh eggs Pam provided us in the morning. Our son loved helping Pam feed the animals in the morning (chickens, alpacas and goats). At the end of our stay, Pam took us to a friend's alpaca farm and we all loved to visit them along with her dogs. Staying here was much more personal than most vacation rentals and it helped us all feel at home. We were visiting adult friends in Eugene and Portland, so being on the farm helped our son have a wonderful place to play and create and a relaxing reprieve from our travels.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at pam's Peaceful Sanctuary. So many personal touches, she made us completely confortable, fresh organic eggs, beautiful flowers, fresh air, farm animals, dog, cat, birds, squirels, etc...Our grandson enjoyed coming over to see the animals and even tried feeding them. Pam is the most gracious host and made us feel right at home. Location is very convenient to everything, quiet location and an excellent value. We will be back again when we go to visit our family that lives in Eugene!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful refuge. Thanks to the owner for having everything so clean, scent free and in good working order. It was nice for the 3 of us to have a little more space and 2 private bedrooms. The dining table in the picture window with a view of the acreage was a real treat.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We stayed at Peaceful sanctuary because of the chickens! We were pleasently surprised to meet Olivia and Merlin too. Our grandson was with Pam every morning letting the chickens out, collecting eggs and "helping with farm chores". He is 5 yrs. old and Pam is patient, and a good teacher too! She took our family to visit 2 alpaca farms, what a bonus! Her home is so warm and friendly, well stocked and comfortable. The grounds are lovely and so peaceful. We highly recommend Peaceful Sanctuary to anyone who loves nature and a relaxing atmosphere as well.It is close to many restaurants and outdoor activities too.The online Photos really are accurate also.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Last summer,2010, We came to Oregon to spend a month away from our home in Florida, on the Gulf of Mexico between Tampa and Naples, and visit family and of course experience the natural beauty that Oregon has in abundance and the people and life style that make Oregon such a unique place to visit. It started out with an opened mind on where to go and what to see, but didn't wanted to stay in places that felt commercial. We wanted a place that felt more like home and that showed that they loved their house and were willing to share it with Suzi and me. This cozy 1928 farm house was "Perfect" for our needs and wants. It is close to the mall, restaurants and an easy drive or bike ride to Eugene and the University, but when we were in residence wel felt we were in a different world. The house was fully equipped and set up and all you needed was to bring in the foods of your choice. We loved the Farmers Markets that are available and we thought that the one in Eugene was the best. There is so much to see and do in this state that we going spend some more time there this next summer. We still have a lot of Oregon to visit and Suzi and I can't wait to get back. Bye the way, I almost forgot to mention Pam, the owner, hostess and do it all person that has made this place happen. She is there at times to do what has to be done, but is never in the way. If we needed her, she was a cell phone or a txt away. Bottom line? We felt at home and loved it!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Dickie, I am so happy you and Suzi loved your stay at my home. It was such a pleasure having you here and I loved our conversations. The Smothers Brothers was my favorite show growing up, we never missed it. Thanks for everything, you and Suzi are amazing and I look forward to seeing you soon...

Our family of four spent two nights here at the end of a long, mostly urban vacation. It was such a quiet and peaceful place to stay and sleep well before our long journey home. The house is loaded with character and gave us lots of room to spread out. Pam was an excellent hostess, making sure we had everything we needed, including fresh eggs for breakfast. What a pleasure to stay here!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Ideal setting, very serene plot of land. Everything is so well taken care of. Really enjoyed the chcikens(and thank you for the eggs ) It is a very short walk to the river, which is a beautiful and a lighted path. On a side note, the hospital is directly behind the house which turns out to be ultimately convienient. I used both the ATM and "CafeYumm". The richest part of our stay was the very comfortable bed. Again, no detail left un-noticed, even choc. on the pillows!!! Thank you Pam.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My daughter and I while visiting Oregon University thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Peaceful Sanctuary. Pam has done a beautiful job decorating this wonderful home. ( the pictures do not do it justice) The fresh flowers in each of the bedrooms, on the dining room table, the fresh eggs on the back porch, and the massage chair are some extra bonuses when staying here. The beds with their wonderful linens and hand made quilts add to the charm and comfort of this country home.Sitting at the dining room table watching the hummingbirds in the flowering apple tree made me feel like I was home in Vermont! I Highly recommend this home to anyone who is visiting this area! Thank you Pam for all that you do to make this home so welcoming.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We came from the south coast to spend a few days in "civilization", and this was the perfect place to stay. The beds are comfortable, the towels luxurious, and the neighborhood extraordinarily quiet. Pam does a good job of ensuring your privacy, and the fresh eggs and rooster crowing made us miss our own chickens from years ago. We'll definitely be back. Thanks, Pam.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks so much. I love making sure that my guests enjoy the very best of this area!

We were traveling from our summer quarters back to Arizona but wanted to see a couple of U of O football games on the way back. We chose to stay 8 days in this cozy, clean charmer, and it was the perfect place to stay. Just 4 short blocks from a major shuttle location to Autzen Stadium, and close to all kinds of great shopping and restaurants - we couldn't have chosen a more convenient, pleasant location.Did you find this review helpful? My wife and I spent our one year anniversary at this farmhouse B n B. It was wonderful and we loved the privacy and peaceful feeling we had while we were there. Nice art and handmade decor made by local artists. The yard was great and all the chickens were very neat. We were also a very short walk from the river. An awesome spot to get away. We'd love to come back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
