The farmer's market is one of the biggest and most beautiful in South of France, a diversity of articles: clothes, cheese, flowers, "charcuterie", fresh fish, meat, jewelry, paintings, spices ... you will spend hours shopping.
If you like history you will love this place, Glamun is a more than 2,200 years old, it's a great place to visit, the old town of Saint Remy dates from the middle ages, as Les Baux 15 minutes away with the Middle age castle to visit, where they show you the use of catapult. Saint Remy was the place were Van Gogh did some of his painting.
The running of the bull is very popular in Saint Remy and the the 12 other town around Saint Remy, it's a must see.

This charming house was the perfect place for our party of 4 women to explore Provence. Located within easy walking distance to town with its wonderful Wednesday market, shops and restaurants, it provided a comfortable base for our daily forays to Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Les Baux, Gordes, and The Camargue. The courtyard and pool area were a welcome retreat when we arrived home from our travels ready to relax with a glass of wine, and the fully equipped kitchen made our at-home dinners easy and fun to prepare. The house was very clean and spacious, the beds comfortable, and the WiFi signal strong. We couldn't have asked for better accommodations to enjoy one of the loveliest towns in Provence.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, girls getaway.

We reviewed several properties before deciding on this home in St. Remy. We were not disappointed. Not only was the home comfortable and spacious, but we loved the proximity to town. We looked forward in the morning to walking to the store to get groceries needed for the day. Also, took in a bull game at the bull fighting arena right down the street. Wanted to take part in the culture, and it was so convenient! The house is also a great base to see Arles, Avignon, Les Baux and we even went to Cassis. St. Remy itself is a nice little town with many restaurants and shops. We had considered staying in several other towns, but decided after visiting all the others, that St. Remy was definitely the right choice. Philip and Valerie were also so pleasant to deal with. It helps when renting a house in a foreign country. We definitely recommend this house for anybody considering a stay in Provence.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

What a wonderful time my husband and I had in this charming home in St. Remy. Walk in one direction for 5 minutes and you come upon the town center of St. Remy - bakeries, restaurants, small shops. Walk the other direction for 5 minutes and arrive at the St. Paul hospital grounds (Van Gogh), Glanum ruins or take a nice, easy hike down a country road. The home was well appointed with all you need to be very comfortable during your stay. The garden area is wonderful for breakfast, lunch or afternoon wine. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.

St. Remy de Provence is a great town to stay in while visiting Provence. The house is 5-10 minutes walk into the main part of town and is relatively sleepy. Right across the street from the bull ring where they occasionally have bull running events (get gets chased by bull etc. no bull slaying like in Spain FYI). The pool is a very nice feature and the garden is relaxing. The house itself was also very comfortable and had a nice layout. The internet (wifi) was fast and reliable. The host was very communicative and responsive. All in all a great stay. I would certainly recommend.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers.

Our family of four (two kids, 10 and 16) stayed at this house and absolutely loved it! If I were to buy a house in Provence, this is the one. It was spacious, cute, clean and had a great location. We walked into town every day (sometimes several times a day) and to the roman ruins and to the hospital van Gogh stayed in. We could drive a short distance to any location in Provence. The market in St Remy was fabulous. We enjoyed the swimming pool, excellent wifi coverage, and eating meals outside in the quiet, private backyard that is next to an olive tree grove. The house is well furnished with everything you need for a week's stay. Philip and Valerie were very easy to work with. We would love to stay here again on our next trip to France.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This house is just wonderful. The location is so convenient to town - an easy 5 minute walk (but travel tip - if you need to run to town quickly you can park free at the tourist office!). There is a great playground at the end of the street if you have children traveling with you. St. Remy is a perfect home base for traveling in Provence. The house itself is beautiful and quaint. Comfortable beds and plenty of living space - we were 4 adults and a preschooler and it was perfect. Can't think of any place I would rather stay !Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers.

Wake up to the sound of birds in this comfortable single story home a 5 minute walk from the center of town. The kitchen and linen cabinet are well stocked and the washing machine certainly comes in handy. We didn't take our bathing suits, but the yard is so private you almost don't need them. It's less than a 30 minute drive to Arles, Avignon, Nimes and several other charming towns in Provence. If you're looking for fine Provencal table linens it's a 10 minute drive to the Olivades factory and outlet store. http://www.lesolivades.fr//main Philip, the owner, is pleasant and easy to work with. We would definitely return and highly recommend this lovely home to anyone.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
