The second story views are absolutely the best. The house is at the focal point of the bay so you see the bay and sunsets to the front, the lights of the new hotels and condos to the north and the lights of the Malecon and other structures to the south.
The house is a very short walking distance to some of the best restaurants in town such as the Blue Shrimp, Barcelona, El Arrayan and the Agave Grill. You can enjoy all the activity of the city and the Malecon and then retire to the relative quiet of Casa Mar Y Sol. Come back and enjoy the sound of the waves and spectacular views.

Why the Owner Chose Downtown (Viejo Vallarta)
I had been looking for a residence in Puerto Vallarta for several years. I wanted a view of the bay and I did not want to worry about someone building in front of me. When I found Casa Mar Y Sol it met all my requirements. It is located right on the bay. The water is less than 20 steps from my front door. The view is spectacular and no one can build in front of me!
The Unique Benefits at this House
I never get tired of the view from the second story deck. In the morning you can watch the pelicans glide by as they prepare to go "fishing" In the evenings the sunsets are simply breathtaking. All over PV people will pause to watch nature's show. And finally, nothing is more romantic than watching a full moon shed its light on the water at night. Plan your trip around a full moon if you can.
At the end of Calle Venezuela walk north on a walkway that fronts the bay. My house is the first door.

Although I have retired from business, I currently teach at the California State University at Chico. I have been coming to Puerto Vallarta for almost 20 years. For me, it has the best and most reliable winter weather of any place I have ever visited. Add on top of that the variety of restaurants, outdoor activities and friendly people and you have my reason for selecting Puerto Vallarta as my second home.

The house is in a great location if you don't want to rent a car. There is lots to do with in walking distance. The buses and taxi service is close and helpful.The views are wonderful and being right on the beach was fun. The house is quite big with plenty of space and had all the amenities. It was a fun house to be in.The only concern we had with the house was the pump on the roof for the water supply was very noisey. It is heard from the upper floor mostly and did wake us many evenings. The beaches were kept clean and everyone was friendly. It is a great place to see what was happening on the bay each day. The venders on the beach were interesting and entertaining to watch. I would highly recommend though, being a very strong swimmer on this beach/bay. We stayed a month and witnessed several near drownings and injuries that had to be rescued by other people. There are lifeguards but for such a large beach we saw them very little. Once in the water we enjoyed kayaking and got a few great moments on film.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with teenagers.

The house is at a good location to walk to most places and catch a cab or bus.The beach is not recommended for swimming unless you are a strong swimmer,3 people needed help getting in from the ocean while we where there. There is a pressure pump that cycles every 10 to 15 sec when you use water, so if you use the bathroom in the middle of the night you wake up other people.Over all the experience in Puerto Vallarta was excellent and the people where very freindly.I give the location a 5 but the house only a 3.
Owner response:The rooftop water pressure-tank has been replaced with a much larger unit and no longer makes the disturbing reset sound. Beach conditions can vary with moon phases, particularly in the winter months. Like most US beaches, Mexico employs a colored flag system to advise swimmers of the surf conditions.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car.
