This is one of the newest and most beautiful homes on the west side of Rainbow Lake. My wife and I fell in love with area and had this home custom built in 2006. This beautiful, 2000+ sq ft home is right on "Frog Pond". The front of the property views the lake and to the south is thousands of square miles of untouched forest. Tall pines, stunning views, large meadow, childrens outdoor playground equipment and even a trampoline on the back of the property (please use at your own risk) this home has it all!
As you turn off on our private road and skirt the edge of Frog Pond you will know that is area is different from most of the other area around Rainbow Lake. As the name indicates, we have a private pond on the property and beautiful views of Rainbow Lake. At a nearly perfect elevation of 7200 feet, our summers are perfect and winters have seen excellent skiing. Sunrise is a short 30 minute drive from our home. We are a short walk from the docks at Rainbow Lake and the fishing is always great! A short walk/ride to horseback riding, shopping, dining, movies, parks and entertainment!
Our home offers 4 bedrooms: Master Bedroom with walkout deck and one king with private bath, one queen in 2nd bdrm. with separate bath, two singles in the 3rd bedroom upstairs, and downstairs a large 4th room with double bed bunk beds (sleeps 4) and another separate full bath. This will sleep 10 people (eight adults and two children).
Features include: cable TV, DVD players, four large decks with deck swings, gas fireplace, three separate baths, wood and stone accents throughout, fishing in the private pond, seperate living room and fireplace room, all the kitchen and domestic's included! We only rent this home on limited weekends and holidays when we are not using, please book as early as possible. We will hold your weekend with a $350 deposit. Please email with any questions.

We have been frequent visitors to the White Mountains for over 15 years. Having fallen in love with this area of Lakeside we built this home as our escape from the grind of the valley. We visit our home many times during the year and just last year opened this home so others could enjoy. "Time off is precious and enjoying it to the fullest is just so important". Why the Owner Chose Pinetop-Lakeside
Nearly a perfect blend of all things we were looking for. Short drive from the desert cities. Much less traffic and people than the Flagstaff area. Excellent skiing in the winter at Sunrise, only 30 minutes away! Incredible fishing either right out the front door or at one of the 30+ lakes only minutes away. We are very much into nature and the respect thereof. This area has so much undeveloped land between the National Forest, BLM land and reservations. We have deer, elk, mountain lions, racoons, squirrel, Bald Eagles and even the occasional black bear down by our pond. This was some of the last bit of property on Rainbow Lake left. We consider the west side of the lake the prime area. We are literally on the lakes west edge and the Mogollon Rim. The rim fire road is about 500 yards from our back door!! You can stand on the edge of the rim and look for 100 miles!!! When we sit on the front porch we watch the Bald Eagles on the edge of the lake fishing and nesting, it is truely moving to watch these creatures. We knew when we saw this property that it was exactly we were looking for. We truely hope all of our guests enjoy this property. Most or our guests are return visitors.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Home is only 3 years young. We have all of the items expected in a small custom home. We built this home with not one or two...but four decks to enjoy. At night fall you can watch the sunset from the second story deck on the back of the home then Bar-B-Que on the lower deck. In the morning and afternoon relax on the front deck on one of two hanging swings. Likewise, you can enjoy looking over the lake from this deck or from the deck off the master bedroom. Watching the summer storms ro0ll in over the mountains is just something that moves people at the same time as humbles you alittle. This home is also very unique in the fact that we have a very large pond that actually attaches to Rainbow Lake. We have caught Bass, Pike and Rainbow in the past. It is "nicknamed" Frog Pond and in the evening you will know why. We have everything from large bull frogs to small toads. It is an absolutely incredible way to fall asleep!!! This small developement is private and will never become part of a large community. We only have 5 homes on the entire property and we actually do own the pond. As we have been saying for 3 years now, "this is our little slice of heaven"!
