RENOVATIONS GALORE: This 3-story home with a crow's nest was recently renovated. This sunset observation deck allows for 360 degree views of sunrises on the Atlantic, sunsets on the Gulf and stargazing. Floor-to-ceiling impact windows allow for open views and plenty of natural light. The kitchen was upgraded with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and with a view to the canal. Marble floors, nautical ornaments and decorator touches and artwork complete the design. Natural keystone is found on the entire main wall leading to the wood staircase. Custom barracuda-themed metal railings on all balconies and exterior stairs is a unique touch.
DOCKSIDE: The property boasts a deep water canal with almost immediate access to the Gulf (Floria Bay) and minutes to two channels (Channel #2 and Channel #5)that will take you to the Atlantic Ocean. The 65 ft. concrete step-down dock with shore power has room for 1 boat, including a davit that will hold a 15-20 ft boat. A fish station and bait freezer minimizes prep time. The private ramp is 4.5 blocks away right across from the private beach.
On the ground floor overlooking the dock is the outside entertainment area with a large teak table and chairs. Enjoy the Gulf breezes while BBQing, fish fries, or just lounging.
FISHING: The fishing is world class with numerous marinas and charter fleets at your disposal. Try inshore/flats within minutes in surrounding waters, wrecks, reef or offshore fishing for the larger species. Your catch will be fillet for you to enjoy that same day! Excellent charter fleets and marina include Bud and Mary's, Whale Harbor and Holiday Isle Marina.
THINGS TO DO: For the non-fishing folks there's a bundle of activities to enjoy. Enjoy Pt. Antigua's private beach only 4.5 blocks away with land and boat access with a private BBQ area and tiki huts (an access card will be provided to enter the beach). Also enjoy snorkeling, diving, kayaking, shelling, jet skis, boat rentals, eco tours, sandbars, kiteboarding, shopping, nature parks, camping, museums, too many to list. Consider The Diving Musuem, Fish Bowl Bowling, Theatre of the Sea, The Rain Barrel Village of Artists, Founders Park, Robbie's feed the Tarpon, and many others.
RESTAURANTS: Islamorada is known as having the best restaurants in the Keys. There are many choices, ranging from a local's flavor to elegant. All within a short driving distance and some you can easily reach by boat. Some to consider are Island Grill, Kaiyo Sushi, Morada Bay Beach Cafe, Pierres's, Uncles, Green Turtle Inn and Islamorada Fish company. Enjoy!
