Historic VICTORIAN COTTAGE is a perfect COLORADO ROCKY MOUNTAIN vacation home. The cottage is located in the Rocky Mountains, about 35 miles West of Denver at an elevation of approximately 8500 feet.
The cottage is a walking distance to Central City Opera, restaurants, antique shops, museums and casinos. It is located in the middle of the area attractions. There are historic towns around rich in mining and railroad history with antique shopping, historic sites... Visit "the richest square mile on earth" - Central City! Gamble and dine in over 30 casinos in Black Hawk and Central City. Visit historic Central City Opera House, Hidee Gold Mine, Thomas House Museum (a house frozen in time), Teller House, Historic Museum in Central City. Idaho Springs with its famous hot mineral springs pool and geothermal baths is only 8 mi away. Enjoy white water rafting on Clear Creek just 8 miles away! Ski Eldora only 20-25 min away or Loveland Ski Resort 35 min away.
Fresh-air adventures await you in our beautiful Rocky Mountain region and may inspire you to partake in summer or winter activities including mountain biking, rock climbing, trail hiking or snowshoeing and skiing in the Golden Gate State Park or Roosevelt National Forest. But if a low-key adventure knocks a bit closer to town, then we encourage a visit to our local museum, historic cemeteries, a ride on the Black Hawk/Central City Tramway or just a quiet stroll down our culture-filled streets to take in some of our more notable sites.
The cottage has two private bedrooms, a dining room, a living room and a kitchen. Old wood burning stove, antique furniture and decor will take you back to the beginning of last century. The cottage(it was built in 1895) offers a great mountain/hill and city views. Enjoy crisp mountain air, beautiful views or a glass of wine on the patio.
There are two private bedrooms in the house: Victoriana Bedroom is furnished with cherry wood furniture, and decorated with some antique pieces. Light, immaculate and tastefully decorated Blossom Bedroom consists of an antique rod iron queen size bed, French provincial furniture and antique light fixtures.
We offer a small complementary breakfast basket upon your arrival.

ELDORA MOUNTAIN RESORT SKI AREA Perfect for downhill and cross-country skiers, snowboarders and snowshoers.
EXPLODING MINE SHAFT Harvey's Casino on Gregory Street in Central City has a special attraction, along with their great entertainment and sports viewing, an exploding mine shaft by the downstairs bar. Sit and sip a drink and don't be startled when the mine shaft explodes just feet away from your bar stool.
Georgetown Loop NARROW GAUGE RAILROAD West of Idaho Springs on I-70, you'll find historic Georgetown (close to Loveland Ski Area). Steam-powered narrow gauge train traverses its way over the restored Devil's Gate High Bridge, looming 95 feet above Clear Creek. There's shopping and dining in Georgetown, Idaho Springs, Silver Plume - wonderful historic towns.
Take "OH, MY GOD!" road (Virginia Canyon Road) from Central City down to historic Idaho Springs - the most picturesque road you have seen. Enjoy hot mineral springs pool and geothermal mineral baths at Indian Springs Pool in Idaho Springs.
