The apartment actually exceeded my expectations. It was extremely clean and very well decorated. There was also ample room for two people with well sized bedrooms and a lot of living space. Simon and Richard were very quick to answer any questions I had about the suite and upon arrival Richard was very helpful in recommending restaurants, stores, and amenities in the area. If you're going to stay in Montreal and you want a great downtown experience I would highly recommend it.

As others have mentioned, Simon was professional and communicated quickly and completely. Richard was prompt upon our arrival, immediately put us at ease. They have done this before, so the process was very smooth with no surprises. We had to convert to USD to CAD but there is a bank on St. Catherine that handled that for a $3 fee. Parking was an additional few dollars per day, a super nice option to not worry about the car for our visit. The apartment was beautiful - like you see on TV. Very quiet, street noise is mitigated by being on the middle of a quiet block and having bedrooms in the back - far from the street. Convenient to have a drugstore and grocery store around the corner. The breakfast place downstairs was delicious. The location is very nice - easy access to the metro, underground city. We walked to the old city in about 10 minutes. The neighborhood was a little spicy for my family. Read about it here: http://www.go-montreal.com/areas_village.htm Thanks Simon and Richard for a peaceful getaway.

My children and I took a quick Spring Break trip to Montreal and found this beauty online before we left. This condo on Amherst is BEAUTIFUL!! it is at the top of 2 flights of stairs above the din of Montreal. Amherst is around the corner from St. Catherine Street where all the action is. We enjoyed the warm spring weather walking along St. Catherine to many diverse shops, cafe's, restaurants, and shopping, and just a few block off of St Catherine is McGill University. We also thought about a quick Metro ride to the 1976 Olympic park but chose to make the short drive instead. The Biodome was fascinating and the kids had a great time! Then we had the best hamburgers EVER at Burger De Ville! Richard was wonderful with the kids and our dog. I highly recommend this condo for your next Monbtreal vacation.

This is a great alternative to staying in a hotel. We found it to be a great location. Within walking distance to a grocery store and metro. Richard was very helpful with luggage and a great restaurant recommendation literally around the corner. Having a kitchen and full laundry made it feel like home. Exposed brick and new modern kitchen and bathroom gave a cool city feel.

We only had a short stay in Montreal but the condo was very comfortable, impeccably clean and the location was perfect for walking to many of the local attractions in Montreal. Had all the amenities and everything was in perfect working order. Great living space for our family to stretch out and relax between walks to historic sites.

After staying here, I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Montreal. Everything was perfect. The condo was immaculate and very comfortable. I visited with my kids (ages 12 and 15), and it was great to have space to spread out, a kitchen for breakfast and an occasional dinner in, and a washing machine in case of emergency. The condo is ideally situated, in decent walking distance of downtown and the old city and port, and a block or so from the Metro, a bus, the parking spot, a bank machine, and a terrific supermarket. Richard and Alex are fantastic. Don't miss Pourquoi Pas, the fantastic espresso shop right next door. Both condos are beautiful--I couldn't imagine staying in a hotel if I had a choice like this available. A real bargain all-around, and it was great to have the option of a convenient parking spot as well. As mentioned in earlier comments, they were there to meet us when we arrived and very responsive. No complaints whatsoever!

Our family of 4 was very comfortable in this super-clean, well-equipped apartment. All the appliances and furniture are new and there is plenty of space to hang out comfortably. It was very quiet inside even though it is on a moderately busy street. Richard and Simon are friendly and helpful, via email and in person, but they do not intrude. The parking spot is a block away around the corner and we just left our car and used the subways and walked. The gourmet pizza place on the corner was great. The apartment is a good value compared to a hotel stay, and the price is the price with no added fees. There is a large supermarket 2 blocks away so it is easy to buy food and prepare your own meals. We really enjoyed Montreal and found people to be very nice wherever we went. Highly reccomend this apartment!

A group of girlfriends and I spent family day long weekend here and had a great time. The Montreal Festival of Lights happened to be going on while we were there so we walked to the main area to check it out. The condo is within walking distance of almost everything. We took cabs to a few night clubs as well, cabs were never more than $10. The condo was very clean and full stocked with towels, linen, hand soap, and kitchen supplies. Richard was very friendly, kind and helpful. We will definitely be renting this property again in the future. I highly recommend the rental for couples, families, groups of friends, etc. Thank you very much Simon and Richard!

My friends and I visited Montreal to catch a hockey game after a few nights in Ottawa. The apartment is very clean, bright (during the day) and has the bedrooms in the back of the apartment which made for a good night (and quiet) sleep. The bathroom was spotless and the kitchen was fully equipped. We had three of us visiting so Richard put out a queen size Aerobed in the living room so we could all have privacy with a bedroom to sleep in. When I visit Montreal again with friends or with 2 couples I would stay at Richard's anytime!!! The location is also top notch for food, the Bell Centre and downtown MTL fun!!!! Thanks Richard!!!!

This condo comes highly recommended. It had everything that we needed and was located very conveniently close to a shopping center where we were able to buy groceries or exchange money at the bank etc. We had 5 people at this location and slept very comfortably. There are only 2 queen beds and two bedrooms, but the air mattress provided was comfortable as well. We all really enjoyed staying at this location.

An amazing well equipped apartment; includes everything you could imagine you'd need right down to an umbrella. Clean, new, spacious, I could not think of a con if I had to. Our host was very gracious and even helped us move our bags up the stairs and helped us navigate the city by giving us pointers and suggestions as to where to eat, play and have a good time. Just as an example of the hospitality the host provided us with; Upon returning to Toronto, I thought I may have lost my wallet, the owner replied within minutes of my contacting him and began searching the unit; this is the type I have no hesitations recommending this to anybody who wishes to stay in Montreal.

My husband and I and our 2 friends stayed here in October for the weekend, and we were SO happy with the apartment, the location and the overall helpfulness of the Owner. I would recommend this apartment, definitely.

My family and I just got back from staying four days in this wonderful second story Montreal apartment. It is within walking proximity of historic Montreal, the Latin district, and one block off of the main drag of the gay district. Within a three block radius, you have the Metro, coffee shops, a variety of restaurants, and a grocery store. Richard was very helpful- meeting us within 10 minutes of our arrival, helping us carry up our bags, orienting us on a map to the city, and driving with us to the parking lot a block and half away. When someone parked in our spot on day three he promptly headed over and when he couldn't determine who the vehicle owner was gave us his spot to use. The apartment is modern and was well equipped for our stay. We would highly recommend this apartment and next time we are in Montreal will surely return.

My two girlfriends and I had a wonderful stay in Montreal. Richard was most helpful in carrying our luggage up the stairs and helping us with parking and a quick orientation. This condo is in close proximity to the grocery store, liquor store, restaurants, and subway system, which is easy to navigate. We mostly walked as it is easy to navigate and with all the eating we did, we needed the walks. We ordered take out several times from the restaurants on our street. The condo had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It is very roomy and the beds are comfortable and even though the street is busy late into the night, the condo was VERY quiet. We loved being in this location. Note: If you need a massage, don't hesitate to use the salon a few doors down. It is frequented mostly by men, but they are very professional and do a nice job. Also, the breakfast downstairs is very good. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic time at this apartment, which is spacious, impeccably clean, perfectly located and a truly amazing value in a not inexpensive city. The owner graciously waited for us for over an hour, as we were driving north from Vermont during hurricane Irene and were severely delayed. Everything was immaculate inside, beautifully renovated, with a fully furnished kitchen, fully made beds, towels — everything we needed. The parking space was two blocks away — very convenient in a rather crowded area of town. The location can't be beat: we never had to walk more than 15 minutes to get to any major site in the city. "L'Oeufrier" restaurant on the ground floor of the building is the perfect place to take breakfast. Ste-Cathérine is steps away, so you don't even have to leave the neighborhood if you don't wish to! a 5-minute walk to two Metro stations. A Bixi bicycle station one block away. I would stay here again without any question, and would recommend this fantastic apartment to anyone! Thank you, Brian Healy New York City

Wonderful location for the village, spacious and comfortable, quite yet central, amazingly helpful host, accurate description and photos. However not very clear on this page is the fact that the owner offer to let, is of 2 similar apartments, 1st & 2nd floor. Rue St. Catharine just around the corner is pedestrian during May to September and is Montreal main restaurants, cafe and shopping street. 2 Metro station very near by and so is the Airport Express bus stop. All in all a very clean and elegant address in Montreal, and well recommended.

Catherines Street and enjoyed the ambiance and the neighbourhood. Richard was amazing showing us all of the attractions nearby and recommending dining and sight seeing options. The apartment was fantastic. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for a great stay. This is a great value if you are in downtown Montreal. Walking distance to everything including the Metro station to get you to attractions that are further afield. Thanks Simon and Richard for making our stay memorable.

My husband, son and myself were in Montreal for 4 nights. This condo is in the perfect location for many of the attractions that visitors come to enjoy. The green line subway is very close and the Berry station is only about a block farther away. The IGA store for food and other necessities is a couple of blocks away. We walked home from the fireworks show on the river and many people were doing the same. We are already formulating plans for next summer and intend to rent the same place. Having the washer and dryer available was a great help with our wet clothes and towels after we went river rafting on the St. Lawrence. I would not hesitate to refer a close friend or family member to the owner of this property.

Me, my wife, and our 4 and 2 yr old boys stayed in the condo for 7 days in July. We really enjoyed our stay. It is 3 blocks from a large supermarket and also from the Berri-UQAM central metro station so getting around the city was very easy. The condo was very clean and modern. The kids had fun, although we had to watch our little guy as the tables are glass, although it was really not a problem. The stairs are a bit high as in other reviews, but even with 2 kids and a stroller it was just fine. The bathtub was big enough for the boys and again, was very very clean. The beds were both very comfy and clean. The kitchen was great and we cooked almost everyday as our little one has food allergies. There are some great restaurants just 3 blocks away in the Village. we liked "steak frites" and the pasta place. Only other nice-to-have amenity would be a DVD player as the TV is mostly in French and there isn't a huge selection of great channels. Richard greeted us promptly and was very pleasant and attentive. Definetely recommend this condo for families or couples looking to have a great Montreal city experience.

My wife and I spent four nights and were amazed at the number of Montreal attractions we were able to see in such a short time (Jazz Fest, Old Montreal, Botanical Gardens, Cirque du Soleil, Mt Royal, Fireworks Competition). We walked everywhere except in the case of the Botanical Gardens we took the Metro. The location is simply perfect. Richard (owner) was exceptionally gracious and helpful. He even went out of his way to walk us to the neighborhood grocery store. Also, the condo was immaculately clean. The experience was positive from start to finish. We're looking forward to planning a return trip.

We arrived in the pouring rain and Richard (the property owner) was outside waiting and helped us with our bags- which were a lot! The apartment was spotless, well stocked, beautiful and homey. The pictures just don't do it justice. The neighborhood is very quiet, conveniently located to restaurants, the Metro and the supermarket. As beautiful as the apartment is, it is very kid friendly - flat screen tv, dvd's and wifi. We'd definitely rent again and highly recommend it to others.

This was the most spacious city apartment we've ever rented. There were four of us--two adults and two teens--but the apartment could easily accommodate six without feeling crowded. The photos and descriptions are accurate; the apartment is immaculate and well-maintained. We cooked several meals and loved the kitchen space. Having a dishwasher is a plus. The location is great, too, with a supermarket and a major metro stop just minutes away. Vieux Montreal is a comfortable walking distance as well. Richard and Simon were very responsive. We would highly recommend this apartment. The only limitation would be the slightly steep stairs, making the apartment unsuitable for the disabled, infants and young toddlers.

The comfort, beauty and location of the apartment is totally invincible. This is the most beautiful, clean and comfortable apartment to stay in, and in a nice and vibrant area of Montreal. Also, very conveniently located close to both bus (including express bus to YUL airport) and Metro station which enable you to go in many different lines. There are also some nice restaurants near by-the breakfast place (L'oeufrier) just downstairs of the apartment, the Pizza place just round the corner (La Piazetta) and the nice Thai restaurant (Bato Thai restaurant) a bit further down the street. The thoughtfulness, kind , trusting and friendly apartment owner really made our stay in Montreal feel like home. I would definitely stay here again if I ever visit Montreal again, and will definitely recommend it to everyone I know who is visiting Montreal.

I brought my family, including two toddlers, to Montreal for five days for an academic conference, and this apartment turned out to be the perfect spot for us. Richard, the lessor, provided baby gates (apartment is on the third floor) and a high chair, with no notice or extra expense, and even helped carry our luggage up the stairs. Security deposit was returned in cash on the day we checked out, and he was available, pleasant, and most helpful: the landlord we all wish we had. The apartment is in a prime location, two blocks from Berri UQAM (central metro stop) and a new grocery store, and in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Wife and kids had a great time walking to Old Town and using the metro to go sight-seeing, and I enjoyed the proximity to my conference while still being able to cook dinner in the evenings. Most unusual part of the apartment was how quiet it was, especially at night - I have never had such a good night's sleep in a city. Only downside of the apt was its position on the third floor, which without an elevator was tough with two toddlers and a stroller, and would have been quite difficult for an elderly person. I recommend it highly!

We have just spent four nights at this fabulous apartment. What you see in the photographs is what you get - a high spec luxury holiday apartment which meets every need. Set in a great location too. Richard whom is your contact during your stay could not be more helpful and friendly which is a huge asset to the experience! We would highly recommend a stay to anyone.

These were 5 star accommodations at a bargain price. The apartment had top of the line amenities and was very very clean. The host provided maps and provided us with a complimentary off street parking space.

Apt. was clean and kitchen well stocked with items needed for cooking. Close to grocery store, restaurants, pharmacy and Metro subway station. The living room is bright but the rest is dark. Although there is a lot of living space, seating choices are limited. If someone is watching TV, the other person has to endure it as well or sit at the cold glass dining table, or in bedroom on the bed. There is a free standing bar with a selection of martini/shot glasses and high stools. I think this area would have been better used as a reading/relaxing spot with a comfy chair and a small table. The street is noisy day and night. There is a restaurant ventilation system outside the bedroom windows which fires up early morning and hums/vibrates until late afternoon. If you want to take a nap, forget it. Air inside the apt. was very dry (February), made our throats sore and difficult to sleep. Bathroom sink was large enough to bathe a baby in but there's no counter space. A lot of effort was put into decorating this place (vases, mirrors, dried branches), but it's not the most user - friendly for daily living. Not practical for a family, only for a young single person, or couple. Two high, steep sets of stairs lead to the apt.
Owner response:Hi guys, please take the time to read any of the other reviews below or above before you make an opinion. -Lighting: There are huge windows at the front and the back of the condo and there's a bunch of lights everywhere as you can see in the pictures. Dimmers are there to increase lighting... -Street noise: Our building is a brand new construction with concrete everywhere, you can't hear anything from the street unless you open the windows. As a proof, you can Google map our address to see how calm the street is for downtown Montreal. -Reading area: There are 2 bedrooms, a huge living room, a big bathroom, a laundry room, a nice kitchen but no reading room... -Dry air: By turning on the heat to maximum during the winter, the air will automaticly get dryer (first complaint since we own the place) -Bathroom counter: It's as shown on the pictures, you will know what to expect. -Not practical for users or families: This review was made by 2 single ladies...please read the reviews from families that came in. -To high: the condos are on the second floor and the third floor, like any apartment downtown. You need to expect walking up a stair of 12 steps. The owner always carries your baggages upstairs. Have a nice day and thanks for inquiring!!!

This apartment was in the best location in Montreal and was fantastic. I wish i could bring it with me back to Sydney. Three of us spent 5 nights in the apartment and enjoyed many of the great restaurants and clubs in the area. Which was lucky as it was very cold outside. Inside we were always warm and comfortable with two big bedrooms and plenty of space. The kitchen was great though we barely used it with all the great restaurants in close walking distance. Apartment was clean and the arrival/checkout process a breeze. 5 minutes walk to Berri or Beaudry Metro stations which will take you anywhere for $16 for a three day pass. Thanks to Simon and Richard for adding to our great experience in Montreal.

Stayed at this Condo for the weekend (Jan.7th & 8th) with my 2 best friends (girls' get-together). I can't say enough about this place. It was definitely as good as it looked in the pictures. What a welcome we got from Richard! He was there as soon as we arrived and insisted upon taking all of our luggage up the stairs. He also insisted upon taking them back down the stairs when we left - such a gentleman! He is extremely nice, down-to-earth and very helpful. The condo is decorated with taste - just the right touches here and there - and very clean. The kitchen is well-stocked with all kinds of utensils, dishes & glasses. The bar in the corner of the living area is exquisite! I would absolutely recommend this place to friends or relatives and hope to stay here again.
