Falmouth Family Rental

Date of Stay: 04/14/12 Review Submitted: 04/24/12

I was looking for a pet friendly rental on the Cape, and found Maria and Tom Clark's lovely home on Davisville Rd in Falmouth. From my first contact with Maria I felt very comfortable dealing with her, she made the process so easy. The house was much more than I expected. It is completely equipped with everything you will need for a relaxing vacation. The location is pretty central to everything, beach, downtown. great restaurants, and a great neighborhood to walk my dog. The house was spotless and extremely comfortable.Thank you Maria!

ENCHANTING GETAWAY

Date of Stay: 11/20/11 Review Submitted: 11/26/11

WOW! What a lovely, clean and comfortable home. We just got back from a week at the house and we enjoyed every minute. Maria met us at the house and she went over everything and said if we had any questions during our stay to just give her a call. Maria has made a home away from home for visitors and there is nothing that is missed. We had Thanksgiving dinner at the house for my husband's family and there was more than enough supplies in the kitchen and throughout the house. His family couldn't get over how nice the house was. I had a niece that needed a nap and there was a pack and play for her to lay down and sleep. She also enjoyed all the books and toys. The yard is all fenced in, which my 2 dogs loved. The beach is a short drive up the street which we visited every day. Absolutely beautiful. And just the other way you could walk to CVS, Cumberland Farms, Dunkin' Donuts, and a few more places. We had dinner at The British Beer Company, which is located across the street from the beach. It was great food and drink. On Tuesday and Wednesday they have buy one pizza get one free and they are HUGE! It was very quaint inside just like an old English Pub. I would recommend this home to anyone that likes to go away but also likes the feel of being at home. My husband and I said that when we visit again there is only one house for us and that is Maria and Tom's.

Perfect Fall Getaway and Relaxing Vacation

Guest: Amy A.
Date of Stay: 10/09/11 Review Submitted: 10/31/11

This was the perfect home for our fall getaway this year! Maria's home was absolutely fantastic for our vacation. She has it stocked with anything you might need (and more)! For myself, my fiance and our pup we wanted somewhere comfortable, with internet access and DVD player, as well as, fun activities in the area to do. We consider it a staycation at someone else's house. We felt so at home in this spacious house with the fenced in backyard where our dog could run free (something she can't do at home). There is lots to do in the area from sight-seeing to shopping to walking on a trail in the woods to walking the beaches. Maria is so welcoming when you arrive and the welcome gift is such a sweet touch. The house is safe, immaculate and walking distance to necessities. It was also incredibly reasonably priced. Who needs a hotel when you can have all the privacy and space you want. We even made dinner at home one night with the grill and it came out delicious. Thank you, thank you for such a great place to go!

You can walk to town and enjoy Smitty's (fresh ice cream) and other stores and have a wonderful walk down the road to the beach- great exercise. MarIa and Tom keep a lovely home and provide you with ample information on activities throughout the Cape. They are wonderful hosts. This is a great vaction spot no matter the age of your family. We stayed here for a week with our 3 children and found a home away from home, everything was perfect! Having not been to Cape Cod before we can honestly say it was a highlight to stay at Maria and Tom's home, conveniently situated for touring the Cape and not to mention enjoying Falmouth which is such a friendly place. Maria welcomed us on arrival and it was a pleasure to meet you and your daughter, lovely people and lovely home, we wanted for nothing except groceries.............the beach stuff provided were an added bonus to our stay. The house was immaculate and a much welcomed cosy retreat after being out all day. Many thanks again for sharing your home for our holiday and we hope to return in the near future. This house was perfect for my two young children and dog. Maria was extremely accomodating and made the entire rental process stressfree. The house was equipped with everything you could need for vacation, including two booster seats and other baby necessities. We enjoyed the fenced in backyard for our dog and kids and the beautiful screened in porch. The condition of the house was immaculate and far surpassed my expectations. It is obvious that a lot of work has been put into making this house such a comfortable home.

Perfect....Perfect....Perfect!!!

Date of Stay: 06/04/11 Review Submitted: 06/13/11

This vacation was absolutely perfect! The house is great for all ages...from babies to senior citizens and every age in between. The ranch style house and large, fenced in yard was perfect for my 2 year old daughters. The house was equipped with 2 bed rails, pack and play, portable crib, umbrella stroller, beach toys, reg. toys, books, sippy cups, etc. The backyard was also great for anyone bringing their four legged friend/s. We brought our yellow lab and he also loved the large fenced in yard. The house was fully equipped with literally everything except for food and drinks. The owners of this property really took the time to accommodate their guests. The beach is about a 45 minute walk (only a few minute car ride). It's actually quite an enjoyable walk...house is on same street as beach, street is shaded with trees, nice neighborhood, and neighbors seemed really friendly. The bike trail in Falmouth was awesome, especially the southern trail to Woods Hole. It is quite scenic and the beach is absolutely beautiful. The beach reminded me of the Florida Gulf beaches...white sand and clear, blue water. Definitely worth bringing your bikes. We checked out several different beaches in Cape Cod and they are all beautiful. My family and I loved this cozy/comfy place and we definitely plan on returning again soon!

Relaxing vacation !!

Guest: Dotty l.
Date of Stay: 05/21/11 Review Submitted: 07/08/11

My friend and I were looking for a place to relax and we found it. The house was clean, comfortable and supplied us with all our needs. Even though we had a few days of rain we were always able to find an interesting place to explore. We especially loved Goodwill Park in Falmouth. It offered walking paths, picnic benches, a small beach and was dog friendly. We very much enjoyed Dana's Kitchen--off the beaten path in Sippiwissit. It offered New York Deli style food inside and outside on a tree shaded patio. Dogs were welcomed outside. The night before we went it was featured on Chronicle--a television show out of Boston. Besides the convenience of the fenced in yard we found many places that welcomed dogs. Maria went out of her way to make sure our stay was comfortable and accommodating.

Best Deal in Falmouth!

Guest: Steve (Tulsa, OK)
Date of Stay: 05/14/11 Review Submitted: 06/18/11

What can one say....extremely friendly and accommodating owners; every need is met; excellent location for beaches, getting around, and just plain hanging out. The home was spotlessly clean and well-stocked with everything a family would need, right down to coffee filters for the coffeemaker. And all of this for a very reasonable cost and a prompt return of our damage deposit. We loved it and so did our little dog Stella, who had a nice fenced yard to romp around in. We rate this a "Best Value," would recommend it to others, and will return ourselves!

Lousy weather, wonderful time!

Date of Stay: 05/07/11 Review Submitted: 05/15/11

From the start, our experience with the Clark family and their wonderful property was the best we've ever had in many years of renting vacation properties. Maria's professionalism coupled with her kindness and warmth made this a truly enjoyable experience. It is the cleanest, best equipped home you can imagine, right down to the smallest detail. Even the rainy, unseasonably windy and cold weather through much of our stay failed to dampen our spirits. There are so many things to do in the Falmouth area in all kinds of weather. We were delighted that dogs were allowed and that there was a safe yard in which to keep them. Even just walking down Davisville Road I discovered a lovely wooded conservation area near Rose Meadow Street that the dogs and I went back to several times. Another dog friendly find was Beebe Woods in downtown Falmouth - a breathtaking and serene woods of considerable size and variety. It was a great place for canines to meet other friendly dogs out for a safe walk among the many level trails available for exploration. We were also happy to find a superior grocery store , Roche Brothers in Mashpee, with quality foods and produce at reasonable prices. My husband and I fully intend to rent again. We feel we really lucked out and doubt we would find another property that fits the bill in every way - any season of the year. Thanks to the Clark family for their amazing blend of personal warmth and professional know how! Claire and Phil PS Toby and Max send a big thank you as well!

Superb Location For Enjoying Cape Cod

Date of Stay: 10/23/10 Review Submitted: 12/02/10

Our thanks to gracious homeowner, Maria. She met us at the house to acquaint us with the property and hand over the keys. Maria very kindly had the new kitchen appliances she had ordered installed before our visit instead of waiting until the season was over. The new shining stove, fridge, and dishwasher were very much appreciated. Maria and her husband Tom left us a card with a gift certificate to a local restaurant as a welcome gift. It was a good introduction to the quaint and delightful Falmouth Village. This is a darling little house. I would like to live in it!!! It is cozy, cozy, cozy. The sunporch is my favorite room...so bright and clean. This house is in a nice, family friendly neighborhood. There is an excellent playground for little ones right across the street. There isn't a better location from which to explore the Cape and venture over the bridge to the mainland. So many things are in walking distance...so very convenient and we loved it!! Having the Dunkin Donuts just around the corner is addicting. I also liked having a CVS drugstore a half a block away. Our favorite restaurant was Sopranos, just up the road in Mashpee. Excellent, upscale Italian food in a cozy location. Charlie's Cupcakes in Mashpee Commons was my favorite place for dessert. Mashpee Commons is a very New England style shopping mall. Upscale and very fun stores. The bookstore there is a good place to shop for local artwork and cards. Nice Black Dog store, too. We also made use of their Regal theaters. We did a trip to Martha's Vineyard and downtown Boston. There are a number of women's consignment shops on the Cape too. We were grateful for being able to bring our two doxies with us. The nice fenced backyard was very convenient. Overall, a very good experience. Our best wishes to Maria and Tom for sharing their little cozy house with us.

True-to-the-words, "A Home Away From Home"!

The listing on this property is the most honest and true to be found. The location, the amenities, including the fenced in back yard as we travel with our dog. The property, including the yard, is spotless with much effort returned to the property by the owners to keep it very well maintained. We loved being close to Woods Hole, the beaches and to Betsey's Diner! Maria is easy and honest to handle the business handling of the rental and a wonderful landlord. We will surely recommend this home as long as we will be able to find space for our own return visit!

We enjoyed our stay very much at this pleasant, clean, and well maintained home. The "extras" provided down to extra light bulbs and flashlights made the stay even more special. The rooms were well decorated and very pleasant to be in. The neighborhood was quiet and great for taking walks! Once of the best features of the home(if you have dogs) was the enclosed yard. It made the stay so easy for our shelties! They were comfortable and felt "right at home". We recommend this property for anyone!

My husband and I spent a delightful week on Cape Cod staying at this beautiful house. It is exactly as pictured in the listing. When Maria said "just bring your clothes and personal items everything but food is there for you" she wasn't kidding. We walked in and were right at home. The house was clean and beautifully appointed. The kitchen was stocked with everything a person would need to prepare and store meals. The beds were comfortable and each room was very cozy. The washer and dryer worked just perfectly and came in very handy. The backyard was fenced in...very handy for the pup we brought along. The sun room looks out on the deck and backyard and was a wonderful place to sit and read and have a cup of something hot to drink. Everything about the house let us know that this place was loved and cared for. And, we were close to everything. Supermarkets, restaurants, a cute downtown area, Starbucks (very important to my coffee drinking husband), an ice cream store, liquor store, pizza parlor, Mexican restaurant...just about anything you could want was within easy driving or walking distance. The most difficult part of the whole vacation was leaving this special place. I can't imagine anyone staying here and being anything but wowed by the experience. Maria and Tom were quick to answer any questions we had and equally quick in returning out security deposit. They provided helpful information about the area and told us to call or e-mail if we had any questions. We may have said good-bye for now but we'll definitely be back.

Exceptional Rental Home

Guest: Marilyn & Jim (Central Wisconsin)
Date of Stay: 09/11/10 Review Submitted: 10/03/10

My husband and I and our friends enjoyed two weeks in September in this exceptional rental home. Marie was a great hostess from the time we inquired about the property to the day we returned home to Wisconsin. She anticipated all our needs, provided directions, area information and had the home well stocked with all the comforts of home. The home was neat and clean and well cared for. It was a great launching point for area attractions and we were able to enjoy two trips to Martha's Vinyard from the ferry conveniently located in nearby Woods Hole. The beaches, seafood and quaint villages together with the warm September weather made our first trip to Cape Cod one of the best vacations we had ever experienced. Thank you Maria!

Dear Maria & Tom, Like everyone, I am sad this is my last night in your house. My first time renting at the Cape since I was a teenager. I loved making the decision to come to the Cape and I think it will continue. The house is so comfortable & homey and has everything. The location is great for going North or South, East or West. Spent a day @ Provincetown (had never been) reminisced from childhood in West Yarmouth, took my daughter to Chatham. One great feature of the house was the entry way closet for the storage of all my belongings. As I mentioned the real thing of this house is better than what it shows in the internet (which I thought looked great). A+ grade and will be hard to beat. Thanks so much for a great vacation week.

Great Get Away Home!!!!

Guest: Noreen (Orchard Park, NY USA)
Date of Stay: 08/21/10 Review Submitted: 09/17/10

We rented this home again for the second year in a row for our week's vacation (from 8/21 to 8/27) in Cape Cod (my husband, Michael, our good friend Ellen and myself). Once again we were NOT at all disappointed - this home is like your own home with all the things you would ever need in a home!!!! But this year we found that many improvements had been made to the house - making this home even more comfortable. The owner Maria Clark is awesome to work with and is the only owner in all the homes we have rented over the years to be there to greet us as we arrived. Plus the fact Maria allowed us to bring our 3 retired greyhounds was a great pleasure for us since we travel with our greyhounds everywhere when we vacation. Not only did we enjoy our stay and plan to return again in the near future but our 3 greyhounds, Serena, Topaz and Foxy loved the fenced in backyard. I cannot say enough good about this home and I urge anyone considering a vacation in Cape Cod to book this beautiful home for their vacation. The location of this home is so wonderful, close to the Davisville Grill (which has wonderful food by the way), but this home is also close to a ice cream stand which serves home made ice cream and it is only a short walk away. Beaches are so close and yet you are off the busy highways so this home offers us the quiet we were looking for. Plus this year we got a chance to check out the Kite Shop across the road from this home - that place is terrific!!!! With so many places to see such as The JFK Museum, The Whale Watch out of Barnstable, The Aquarium in Woods Hole, The Cape Cod Beer Tour, The Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory Tour along with many other interesting places to visit this home is so close to all of it. So do check this home out and book it fast - with a place as nice as this home is it won't be available for long, I am sure of that. Once again THIS HOME IS SUPER and we can't wait to stay there again. Thanks again Maria for everything.

Jul 17-23, 2010 Another wonderful week on the Cape! This is our 3rd consecutive year here at the Clark house. It has become our “home away from home”. This year, we took a trip to P’Town, rode the Shining Sea Bike Path, spent a day @ Sandy Neck Beach, did a bit of shopping, and even went to the movies! We ate (among other places) at Bobby Byrnes in Mashpee Commons, British Beer Co in Falmouth, The Avenue across from the ferry dock and Smitty’s (yes, we had ice cream for dinner one day!). We took our dog swimming, which he loves! A great time – as always !!!

July 3-9, 2010 Thank you for your hospitality. We rented last year at a place that was adequate, but not exactly welcoming. From the moment we arrived here, we felt right at home. Our recommendations of what to do/see on the Cape: The bike paths are wonderful. We traveled the Shinning Sea Trail as well as both “Forks” of the Rail Trail and had marvelous rides on each of them. Old Silver Beach is exceptional. Since it is on Buzzards Bay it has warmer water & gentler waves than Coast Guard Beach. Eight Cousins Bookstore is a wonderful place to get lost looking for children’s books. Peking Palace has great food. Everything we ordered was delicious. Our dogs loved being able to join us this year. Since they are both seniors, we really appreciated being able to bring them with us instead of leaving them at the kennel. Our week here is once again too short. We are leaving saying, “We have to come back again”. Thank you for making all of us feel welcome…

We stayed at this home last year around the same time and enjoyed the comfort of the home and the location so much, we decided to come back for a second vacation. Maria is wonderful to deal with, very thorough, quick to respond to e-mails and willing to go out of her way to make sure you have an enjoyable trip. You literally can leave your house packing only your clothes and everything you could possibly want will be there waiting for you when you arrive. Just stop at one of the local grocery stores for supplies for the kitchen and you can cook, grill, or pack a lunch in their cooler and head to the beach...whatever you feel like doing. Plenty of local restaurants that are reasonably priced but have great seafood. Some amazing golf courses with spectacular views. It is a fantastic location, a stones throw to Route 28 but on a quite street and it makes for great day trips to Boston, Provincetown or Marths'a Vineyard. Our pugs loved it and enjoyed being out in the yard without a leash on. They barked at people walking by as if they owned the place. If we take another trip to the Cape, we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

We were delighted by our rental vacation home. It was so clean and comfortable and had everything a family would require. We were very close to a play park and the fenced in yard was a dream for the kids. They could run and play while I could read and relax in the sunroom while keeping an eye on them! Falmouth is a great town and a good launching point for the many highlights in Cape Cod. The back yard was very nice and there were no biting bugs. We could have lounged all day...if there hadn't been so many exciting things to do. Lots of nice added touches in the cottage for a family with young kids... with a stroller, bed rail, sippy cups, beach toys and kids movies. All you need are clothes and swimsuits! Bring your bikes and enjoy the beautiful, easy, bike trails that all our family loved. It was a really great vaction and vacation home.

Our stay in Falmouth, May 2010

My fiancee and I stayed in this home during May of 2010. We were greeted and shown around by Maria, the owner, and could see that the house was very pleasant and well maintained. It is in a central location which allowed us to be able to walk or drive a short distance to restaurants, beaches, banking, and shopping. This house has EVERYTHING you could possibly need to be comfortable, and we felt at home almost instantly. What I especially enjoyed was not having to pack linens and towels since everything was there, even down to the beds being made up for us! Honestly, our needs were so well taken care of that it felt more like being in a hotel than a vacation home. A couple of places we really liked for eating out were J.R. Brody's (pub food and atmosphere and very close by), the Roo Bar in Falmouth Center, and Cupcapes was delightful. Stay away from the fried food at K.K. Codder's (greasy awful mess - don't know about lobster here), and if you want to eat in a genuine American diner, Betsy's is the place to go for hearty (but yes, heavy...) breakfast food. To summarize, we were very happy with all that this house had to offer, immaculate and extremely well maintained. I would definitely recommend this home to friends and family for a pleasant, enjoyable vacation place. We will definitely go back soon!

Date of Stay: 04/28/10 Review Submitted: 10/17/10

April 28-30, 2010 So, we wanted a vacation, what better place than Cape Cod. We heard about Cape Cod from our friend and then looked for a house and found this one. This house is wonderful. It has nice rooms and a fenced-in back yard. The dogs loved it. I’ve never seen them so excited and full of energy. We visited the wonderful beach and the thrift store down the road. We went to Provincetown where we visited stores and beaches. We are so sad that it is over, but we had fun. The weather was great and there is nothing to improve.

If you want a home away from home without the stress, your search stops here. I came here with my two children and we had the most amazing time! Maria is the best landlord I've ever met. Everything is just so close by, & the house is awesome! I've been everywhere in the Cape, & nothing comes close to this home, & the owners. Falmouth is Wonderful. I thank God for waiting for Maria to email me back! We are renewed with this vacation. I could spend hours talking about this wonderful vacation home, but I suggest you experience it for your selves. Don't think twice, don't spend thousands in a vacation that will become a nightmare. This vacation home will be unforgettable! You will not regret the experience! We came home with wonderful memories, & we didn't want to come home. Until next year! Thank you Maria & Thomas. God bless!

Beautiful home, great location, lots of comforts

We loved our stay in this beautiful and immaculate home. The location is great - we enjoyed trips to Hyannis, Sandwich and Woods Hole. The house is very comfortable, and we were especially appreciative of the little details, like a great kitchen to cook in, including a large supply of food storage containers so we could really feel homey and eat economically. Our toddler also loved the toys and kids videos (nice to pass the time during our winter stay!), and we loved eating at the Davisville Grille around the corner. CVS and the video store and a couple of supermarkets nearby very convenient too. Thanks, Maria and Tom! Best wishes to you and all of your visitors!

As soon as we walked in the door this felt like home. It was immaculately clean, with all the home comforts we needed and was central to shopping, beaches, restaurants etc. We enjoyed the walk from the house down to the beaches which are beautiful even in the off-season We have already booked our stay for next year! We highly recommend this as a vacation get-away home.

We loved this home and had such a wonderful and relaxing time. It was so well equipped and do not think I have stayed somewhere that had everything we could ever iamgine needing. The location was also amazing! It was close to everything and had a Dunkin Donuts at the end of the block that was great for coffee in the morning if we did not make our own. It was also so close to so many places. Right next to Woods Hole where the ferry goes to Marthas Vinyeard and also Rhode Island, (Newport) and Boston. We did all of these places and the house was very central to all of these. It was a great home and we thank you for having such a great place to stay in. Looking forward to visinting again! Maria, Thank you for the use of your beautiful, well equipped house. We had a blast discovering Cape Cod all over again. Dick and I treated ourselves to a 5 pound lobster and I am sure glad I brought my ‘fat girl’ jeans. Thanks for not putting a scale in the bathroom. HahaDick & Sue - Arlington Texas

This property was so convenient and easy to use. It makes such a difference to have the provided amenities and equipment available and included in the rental. Along with being a favorite area of ours(Falmouth Woods Hole), the entire Cape as well as Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket become easy day trips with so much to see and do. The property has received lots of tender loving care and is just like being home.

SUPER East Falmouth Home not to be passed up!!!!

Guest: Michael/Noreen M. (Orchard Park, New York/USA)
Date of Stay: 08/22/09 Review Submitted: 08/30/09

My husband Michael & I (Noreen) rented this property for the week of August 22nd to August 29th, 2009 for our first ever vacation to Cape Cod. We were greeted upon our arrival by the owner Maria & her daughter, a very nice touch & something that we have never had happen in all the homes we have rented over the years. The home was very clean & comfortable, it truly felt like our home away from our own home. Maria was so wonderful to work with, very understanding & helpful. We needed a place that was comfortable & homey, would allow us to bring our 3 retired greyhounds along with us & somewhere that was within easy driving to most attractions - we found all that & so much more in this home. This home is near the ocean, actually within 2 to 3 miles away from the ocean. This home is also completely fenced in which was a blessing to us, this allowed our 3 greyhounds to enjoy running around the back yard in complete safety. The neighborhood was quiet, was within walking distance to several restaurants such as The Davisville Grill, a Sub Shop & a Chinese restaurant. And Smithy's was also within walking distance - where they have homemade ice cream which was incredible!!!! Our good friend Ellen also enjoyed the week with us in this home (it was Ellen's first vacation ever & her dream vacation to go to Cape Cod), we were able to see so much in such a short time, this home's great location made it easy to drive to so many places. Our week was full ranging from a Harbor Cruise out of the Hyannis Port Harbor, to a incredible Whale Watching trip from Barnstable/Hyannis to us visiting Martha's Vineyard for the day (where we had the honor of seeing President Obama's Motor Cade pass us on our way up to the cliffs on Martha's Vineyard). We have all ready booked another week at this wonderful home again for the last week in August, 2010 - we still have so much more to see in Cape Cod. Mike & I would recommend this home to anyone, in all the homes & condos we have rented over the years this home is ranked among the best. I cannot say enough good about this home or the owners - everything about this place was super. Don't pass up a find such as this home when you decide to visit Cape Cod - Mike & I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Can't Wait To Go Back Next Year!

What a great week we had! We couldn't have asked for better weather! The house itself was perfect. Very well kept and clean... with everything we could have possibly needed. Just bring your clothes... they have already thought of everything else! They have even included a guest book (with plenty of great info from past guests) and a binder with all kinds of information on local attrations and restaurants. The location is great. We enjoyed walks and bike rides to the beach almost every day. When we weren't out exploring, we spent time relaxing in the beautiful backyard. Everything you could imagine is very close by with a ton of places right within walking distance. Plenty of things to do and see within a short drive. We especially enjoyed having the grill available for use on the deck. Eating out everyday can add up so we loved having a full kitchen and grill available to make whatever meals we wanted. I can't think of a single item that we would have needed that they didn't already think of. To Tom and Maria... we loved our time at your home so much that we were sad to leave! We are already looking forward to our stay next year. Thanks so much for providing such a wonderful place for us to enjoy a relaxing week away.

Dear Clark’s,Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home for a week (again!) We had a great week, which began with a quiet night “home” settling in on Saturday. We shopped for some staple supplies and took the dog for a walk. Sitting in the yard enjoying the lovely weather was wonderful. Visitors with dogs must take the ‘pond access’ road to take their dogs swimming! Brady loved his near daily swims. The beach was great and we took a trip on the ‘ocean quest’ in Woods Hole- fun. British Beer Company is good casual dining on the waterfront. Rainy day was spent at the Cape Cod Brewery, the mall, and the Jam Kitchen in Sandwich. Took the ferry o the Vineyard and went on a nice guided tour while there. Monomoy seal tour was great as was window shopping in Falmouth center. The house was lovely as usual- spotless and comfortable! We look forward to returning next year.Best, Mark, Maria, and Brady (woof! woof!) - Southern CT

We had such a wonderful time while in Falmouth, and staying in this house. In fact, just now, looking at the pictures of the home again, I feel like we are long-lost friends, and I miss it. It was so easy to "move in" and enjoy our stay. The weather while we were there was quite rainy - an unusual weather pattern for this time of year. Yet we had a marvelous time! We hope to be back again in the future, and highly recommend this home for your home away from home while you explore. We aren't "beach" people, but still had a fantastic stay. We know we've only scratched the surface on exploring the area! I highly recommend you look through their guest book upon arrival for some great ideas of places to see! Wish I would have done that. But we found plenty to do.

Great house, feels like home. All we hoped for and more. Hope to return. Weather was rainy, sun came out only once! Went to Boston and visited Science Museum, Aquarium, Freedom Trail, Harvard Square, Natural History Museum, and the Fenway Park Tour!Thunder and lightening storms our last night, gail winds on Sunday night, Fished for porqey in Hyannis on a charter boat and caught 30 fish! Went to Joe’s seafood in Sandwich, ate 5 lobsters and 3 lbs of steamers. Good chowder.Looking forward to returning to experience the beaches, which we missed because of the rain. A great trip and good memories. Thank you for all your advice, especially Joe’s Seafood!!The Taylors - San Francisco, California

Thank you, Clark family. We had a wonderful stay at your home; it was our home for a week. The Cape has many things to offer. It was great to come back to “our house” and have a cookout or a movie night. We did it all in seven days!Seashore and Lighthouse drive, Hyannis and harbor cruise, Sandwich, heritage museums, and Don landed 10 stripers and I pulled in 2! Wonderful fishing captain Dave Perso. The house is comfortable, neat and inviting. No surprises or disappointments. So glad we found you on the web!Linda and Don - Cleveland, Ohio

To the Clark family,Our week stay at your comfortable “home away from home,” was a happy one. You provided everything we needed and the cozy fireplace was just perfect for a couple cool evenings. Perfect daytime temps for riding the Bike and Rail trails and the new part of “the Sea to Shining Sea.” Bike trail is great.Enjoyed Betsy’s Diner, Paul’s Pizza and really loved the fried fish available here in Falmouth. Our dog “Whippet” loved our walks around the neighborhood and “hanging out” in the back yard. Loaded up on T Shirts and Sweats at Cuffy’s in Dennis and flags right across the street at the Flag and Kite Shop. Thanks again for showing us a great time.Hal and Bev - Ayer, Ma.

The house is very well equipped and everything is easy to operate. There was plenty to do, good restaurants and two good supermarkets either side of Route 28. Good fresh produce. We especially liked ‘Oysters Too’ for that special meal.We liked Hyannis, old town Falmouth, and Provincetown is a must as it is unique in more ways than one.Lovely beaches with long stretches of sand and very few people, ideal. We stayed the last week of May over Memorial Weekend. We had a blast despite having cold and rainy weather. We took many road trips and the location of the home was very central to everything. It was comfortable and had everything you could imagine. There was nothing we could have asked for that was not already provided. Our two pugs had a field day in the fenced in yard. They are used to being walked on a leash and by the third day, they were used to waiting at the door to go out and were refusing to come back in when called. Maria was wonderful and very accommodating. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

We enjoyed our stay at this wonderful home on the Cape in May 2009. We journeyed around the Cape, visiting different places each day, and it was a pleasure to return to "our" space each evening where we could relax in comfortable surroundings. Whether we were setting out on trips to Provincetown, Martha's Vineyard, or Pawtucket RI, the home is close to main routes leading to locations both on and off the Cape, making it ideal for our visit. If you prefer to stay close to home the location offers everything you need - restaurants and shops can be found just minutes from your door whether you're walking or driving. As the ad says, it's truly a home away from home and you will not be disappointed!

Our family & pets (yes, they take dogs and cats!) had a wonderful stay in this house. It was difficult to find a rental for both our dog and cats, so we were thrilled to find this house! Maria was wonderful to deal with, to go over things with. Excellent communication and no problems. The house was in a great location. (maybe if you have younger children, not so great, because it is on a bit of a busy road) But that is the only negative thing I would say about the house! It had a great location near convenience stores, Dunkin Donuts (right around corner!), restaurants, grocery stores, lots of seafood places. 10 minute drive to downtown Falmouth (fun to walk around and window shop) and Woods Hole, ferry to Martha's Vineyard, etc. Few minute drive to beach, although it was too cool and rainy for the beach when we were there! Oh well - next time! :) We went exploring and right down the street we found an access road to a pond/ocean inlet that was very pretty and fun for the dog to fun around. Had a little sandy beach to explore. We watched a young man go digging for clams - fun! The house was perfect, nice and clean, had everything we needed. Fenced in back yard perfect for the dog. Nice to have a dvd player; we watched movies every night! Just drove down to Shaws and used the movie kiosk - $1 a night per movie - great deal! We rented this house in May - before the high season. We didn't do too much, just relaxed, walked on the beach, walked around Spohr Gardens (there are many woods, trails, conservation lands in that area to explore) We wanted to go kayaking in one of the inlets(ponds) ,but it was just too cold. This is a great location on the cape for the summer - tons to do! Highly recommend it!
