Long Island Village is located at the bridge to beautiful South Padre Island and is a 24-hr gated private community. It has a great activity center that includes 2 pools (1 indoor/1 outdoor), 3 spas (2 indoor/1 outdoor, a library, laundromat (also washer/dryer in Sea Cottage, 3 Tennis Courts, 4 Shuffleboard Courts, a Miniature golf course for the kids, an 18 hole Executive Golf Course for Mom & Dad, a Billiard Hall with 8 tables, a Volleyball Court, a Basketball Court, 3 lighted Tennis Courts, 2 Horseshoe Courts, Arts & Craft Center and a newly renovated Fitness Center. There are numerous organized events like Card Games, Billiard Tournaments, Dances, Dinners, Bingo, and etc.

The sea cottage was very nice. Everything was clean. The kitchen had all the items necessary to cook full meals. We did not need to bring anything. We found everything to be as advertised. Very Quiet neighborhood. It was great to be able to keep the boat in the canal tied to the dock and not have to take it out everyday. Only a short drive to the Island or Wal-mart. We will stay here again. Eric and Tina are easy to work with.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Our stay at this Sea Cottage was so much fun. Even though we are not on the island it was no big deal to come and go to the beach as we pleased. Our girls 5 and 7 loved the pools at LIV! They could not get enough. We loved that there is an indoor pool because our girls wanted to swim in the middle of the day. We spent alot of time fishing from the pier too. We didn't catch much but it was nice just being out there while my husband barbq'd. We enjoyed the Lost Galleon and Dirty Dave's, restaurants at Port Isabel. On the island our favorite is D' Pizza Joint and the Sea Ranch. This place is really nice, well maintained, very home like, and the area is a nice welcoming community. We are looking forward to another stay here next summer!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Having spent a week this last May at the Sea Cottage, other than the wind making it for some tough fishing, everything else was really great. The place is just as it is advertised and then some from decor down to linens on beds. Great place to enjoy the sites as everything is close and accessable. Definetly will stay here again as Eric and Tina were more than accommidating with any and all questions we had while there. Thanks again.

We were beyond impressed with the cottage. Everything we knew we would need and things we didn't were there. We decided to bake muffins one night, and surprise, even mixing bowls and baking pans were there. The cottage was super clean and comfortable. We loved sitting out on the 2nd floor deck for coffee in the morning. Everything you want in South Padre is but a super short drive away. We highly recommend renting the cottage for your stay!
