Barnes in South West London is a unique part of the Capital as it has a lovely village atmosphere yet is only a short distance into the centre. It is a mainly residential area with professional families and its many TV and film stars residing here
This is a wonderful English Edwardian home just been refurbished to a high standard, situated a close walk to the River Thames. There is a lovely large kitchen/ diner/conservatory overlooking a secluded patio garden. Two double rooms with king size beds and their own bathrooms. A twin room also with own bathroom and a single room. The office can also be turned into an extra bedroom if required. There is a shower room also on the ground floor. The sitting room is spacious and has a dining area for more formal occasions This is a must for families or friends who wish to see London but don't want to be completely central but a short tube ride into the Centre.
Hyde Park, Kensington and Piccaldilly Circus are all within easy reach. As the crow flies about 2 to 4 miles from Barnes Heathrow airport is a twenty minute cab ride and to visit all the attractions of London there is either a bus ride or a tube which takes you into Central London in ten to twenty minutes. Wimbledon tennis is 2 miles away so perfect for the two weeks in July.
There are many excellent restaurants, cafes all within walking distance . Tennis courts are across the road. A wildlife Wetland Centre is a two minute walk away and Richmond Park 5 minutes drive where you can hire bicycles and see the wild deer.
