We were completely pleased with this cabin. The most beautiful mountain setting! Loved the river right out back. Did not realize how close the river actually was. The property is so nice, we never wanted to even leave to go in town. Although it was February when we visited, we were able to utilize the firepit right by the river. Even took a nap on the hammock. The drive to get there is a little frustrating, but once we did it, no big deal. Would suggest a 4wheel drive or front wheel though. We had no problems with the driveway though. Coming out of property, to the right just a few miles down the road were many accommodations, and a liquor store off the beaten path. Beer and wine sold in many places, but not so much liquor. Restaurants were all wet though. Could go on for days about how nice this place was, but would definitely recommend this cabin for anyone staying in the area. Clean, large and spacious rooms. The two full baths were spacious and the bedrooms had lots of room as well. Very well laid out piece of property!

It is sometimes difficult to know exactly what you are getting into when you choose a rental property based just on what you see on the internet. I can tell you though, that the pictures and description do not do justice to this cabin. Located just a short 15 minute drive south of Helen, GA, White Rapids retreat is truly a "little piece of heaven". The cabin sits about 100 feet from the Chattahoochie, is surrounded by a nice grove of mature trees, and is privately situated from neighbors. The cabin itself is open with high ceilings and plenty of natural light. The back door opens to a fully screened porch that overlooks the river. Ceiling fans throughout ensure that air conditioning is never needed. There is a nice fireplace in the great room, and wood is readily available on the property. All descriptions on the website are accurate, and the owner communicates promptly. Highly recommended!!

I have to be honest, it was quite tricky finding the place and a little scary driving down the STEEP driveway, but once you see the place it is all worth it! The view is out of this world. You are literally right on the rapids, almost sounds like you are at the beach if you leave the doors open at night. The hottub made the trip, as we had horrible rainy, cold weather all weekend. Nice screened-in patio, but one of the screens is completely missing, which kind of defeats the purpose of having a screened in patio. My only complaint is that the kitchen/living area has a really bad gnat problem. The pictures online do not do the place justice...the place is HUGE and lots to do on the property. Helen was about a 10-15 minute drive. Warning - The town is in a DRY COUNTY. We had to drive around for awhile looking for booze. I would be nervous taking a car down the dirt roads that the property is located on, as they are almost completely washed away in some areas. Be prepared! We will more than likely be back in the summertime with more family so we can get in the water. Good times!
Owner response:The missing screen on the porch has been fixed. The road condition has been improved with some gravel and repair work. There is not a gnat problem in the house unless you leave the doors open. Sincerely, The owner.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful cabin. It was located in the most gorgeous spot on the Chattahochee River. We couldn't have asked for a better location. It was clean, well equipped and worked well for our family of six and our two dogs. We will definitely be back!! This is the best cabin ever!!

This cabin exceeded our wildest imaginations in beauty and seclusion. We thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit during cool nights, river by day, and hot tub in the rain. The "cabin" is lovely and had all of the comforts of home. We fully intend on returning as often as we can.

Thank you for sharing one on the loveliest places on earth with complete strangers. We have very little family time where we are all in the same country, so to spend 4 days there amidst nature, at the end of some path, in some forest, at the edge of the river, somewhere, Georgia, USA, with limited internet access, and no reason to leave, was indeed heaven! Your house was so comfortable - we loved all the adornments and finishing touches, which make it home. The river is so beautiful right there - my children had so much fun tubing down the little cascades – we had a wonderful time.

Wow! The one word I would use to describe this cabin and it's location. We spent 4 great nights here with plans to go back next year for a week. The cabin was even better than we could have imagined. Very nicely decorated and plenty of room, we especially loved the screened in porch we spent most of our time there, unless we were out shopping in Helen, tubing on the river, sitting around a bonfire, or napping in the hammock. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who is planning a vacation to Helen or nearby. Thanks again Rob for everything. Theresa

My sisters and I rented this cabin for our annual Sister Reunion. This was my year to host and I got BIG brownie points from everyone! We all fell in love with it. We spent lazy days on the River and hung out on the screened in porch or in the hot tub. It was everything the photos portrayed. We are all in agreement that we may just make this our yearly get-away! Very relaxing, peaceful and beautiful! Can't wait for next year!

This cabin is FANTASTIC! The river was thoroughly enjoyed. My son had a blast riding a tube down the rapids. Five of us stayed in the cabin, and we had plenty of room. The screened in porch was our favorite place to be other than the river. We will definitely be returning!

We had a great time at your cabin. The river is amazing, we only wish it had been warmer so we could have gotten in. The fire pit and swings were a hit with the kids, as well as the hot tub. Our cell phone worked great, wish it had WIFI.

Well, I have to say it was one of the best cabins I have ever seen. I had told myself not to expect everything we had seen in the pictures but it was that and more. Everyone who has ask me about my trip, I have to tell them you must see the pictures as you won't believe what I am saying. We enjoyed the fire place at night and even a couple of people got into the hot tub when it was 35 outside. In the cold weather we even saw a couple of boats on the river and the river was the greatest. Would love to go back when we can get into the river. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us.

Absolutely FABULOUS Cabin! What a treat it was to stay in your cabin. The leaves were at peak and the weather was great. Our children really enjoyed playing in the river and we felt very safe with them out there. We also enjoyed watching the college football games outside on the screened in porch, while listening to the roar of the river in the background. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin and look forward to coming back!

We stayed at the cabin for a short weekend and it was wonderful! It was easy to set up payment and was a quick drive from Atlanta. It was very secluded and the view of the river was beautiful. There's plenty of space, the amenities were all top notch and it was very relaxing. We spent all day on the river and our dogs had as much fun as we did! I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a secluded, relaxing getaway with all the comforts of home!

To anyone wishing to rent this property ... it is everything they say it is..you won't be disappointed. The view is wonderful and very relaxing. We spent 9 days there and loved every minute of it. Saw deer on the property often. The beds were comfortable, and plenty of room in the cabin. We would definitely go back again. Our cell phone would not work there..but others do.
