Ocean Haven is a luxury studio accommodation for two. A guest quarters for a private residence with Spa quality amenities, providing a wonderful hideaway... just a short stroll from the beaches, shopping and restaurants of north Pacific Beach.
Our non-smoking retreat sleeps up to two people with a luxury pillowtop Queen size bed. The 490 sq. ft. room also features a sitting area, 32" flat screen TV and a wonderful spacious spa-style bathroom with a large jetted tub and beautifully tiled shower.... perfect for couples.
The exotic Asian inspired interior designed studio opens onto your beautifully landscaped private Zen garden patio. An outdoor room actually, furnished for dining and relaxing.
Ocean Haven is the perfect sanctuary to rejuvenate one's mind, body, and spirit. Rinse off after a day at the beach in the outdoor shower area. Barbecue, take a Boardwalk stroll or bike ride (we supply the bikes) at sunset to one of our many nearby restaurants.
* The patio, as well as the Studio, is smoke free due to the prevailing ocean breezes.
Ocean Haven is located in a unique north Pacific Beach neighborhood, near the water, at the Southern border of La Jolla, close to all, [Beach, Boardwalk, Restaurants and Shopping], yet quietly removed from the hubs of activity in a residential neighborhood for a nice night's sleep.
Only a short 4 minute stroll to have your toes in the water at Law Street Beach, "the area's best beach" (S.D. Home & Garden Magazine) featuring a grassy park with showers, restrooms, and lifeguard services. Our Pacific Beach/Mission Beach Boardwalk begins at the park and runs south, with miles of walking, skating and biking.
* We supply the bikes, beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, coolers, and even boogie boards, so that you can enjoy the neighborhood the way we do.
Ocean Haven does not have a full kitchen. We have provided amenities which include: a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, plates, cups and silverware. With the barbecue and a little imagination, you can create a feast, or keep a few snacks on hand, have coffee in the morning al fresco and enjoy the local restaurants.
Your garden patio is securely fenced and immediately adjacent to your reserved parking * We’re Pet Friendly for folks who travel with their pup... even have a Doggie Door. ($10/night per pet fee) * Please ask for our Pet Policy.
Water sports abound: You have swimming, boogie boarding, and surfing within a short stroll. Boating, Sport fishing, water skiing, jet skiing, & kayaking within a 5 minute drive. Close to the ocean, local shops and restaurants, 10 minutes to Sea World, 15 minutes to S.D. Zoo, our downtown Gas Lamp District, S.D. Historic Old Town, and all of San Diego attractions ...

Owner Description
Most of my adult life I spent dreaming about living by the Ocean. After 32 years living in the deserts of Phoenix my dream came true. For 8 years now, I’ve enjoyed living and working in the vacation paradise of Pacific Beach. Now I share my beautiful space with other like-minded dreamers.
As the daughter of an Air Force officer I’ve lived in far flung countries. Having lived in Thailand and the Philippines as a child I have a penchant for things Asian. After 20 years as an interior designer I retired from the profession and became the owner of a local business, Noah’s Natural Pet Market. I’m a designer that’s literally “gone to the dogs”! That being said, Ocean Haven truly welcomes well behaved dogs and their human companions. It’s been my pleasure to design Ocean Haven, which reflects my love of exotic beauty.

Ocean Haven was truly zen. Plenty of room to move around, bath and shower were luxurious, sheets soft, neighborhood quiet and our own outdoor garden. Even though there isn't a full kitchen, the accomodations were all I could want for a vacation. The beach is an eeeaaasy walk. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, pet owners.

My husband I recently stayed at Ocean Haven while visiting our daughter in PB. I was first attracted by the owner's write-up (she was spot on), the lighting in the photos and the garden. Working with Steve, who manages the property, was a delightful experience. Staying at Ocean Haven was a joy. I had forgotten what the owner's background was, but the obvious attention to detail in the design of the space was impressive. The created volumes, the lighting, the selections of furnishings and fixtures, all culminate in a space that is serene but practical. The shower is awesome!! (Even my husband thought it was one of the coolest he'd ever used.) If I wanted something, it was there--a place to hang a robe?....a hook where it should be; a beach towel?....right there to be used; a book to read?.....a library wall; a TV show or movie to watch, music to listen to?....all provided for. The garden is the perfect place to enjoy coffee, lunch, wine, or reading and the privacy of the entire space adds to the sense of peace. We walked the block and a half to the beach, the several blocks to downtown PB to enjoy coffee or lunch--Zanzibar, Cafe 976--and to dinner at Enoteca Adriano on Cass or Basil Thai for take-out. Bird Rock and La Jolla are nearby too, for additional dining and shopping options (and walkable, too, if you like a bit of a jaunt). We will return!

My boyfriend Phil and I stayed here Saturday-Monday, (Valentine's Day). We felt like kids again riding around on bikes and playing on the beach with our dog, Monte, (an English bulldog who loved the doggie door)! The studio was perfect. The special touches that were made really made our stay relaxing and memorable. We will tell all of our friends about Ocean Haven. Peace and Love, Nicole and Phil

Ocean Haven sure was a treat! In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we stayed an extra day! The proximity to the beach and central location made us feel right at home here in sunny San Diego and after a long day of biking, sunbathing and exploring it was a pleasure to relax in the MOST comfortable bed with state of the art electronics. Comment Text: Fantastic unit. Tastefully decorated and really comfortable. Enormous bathroom with huge soaker tub. Really nice location, very close to beach, but in residential area so it is quiet and removed from the party atmosphere. Small yard has a locking gate and fence which provide complete privacy. We have stayed here twice and will definitely do so again.

We spent a week here in January and cannot say enough about the place. The property was spotless and well maintained, the interior decorating was wonderful and the owner was helpful in every way. It is the perfect quiet hideaway for those wishing to be close to the beach and restaurants and yet have a peaceful setting. The name Ocean Haven fits perfectly. Thanks for a great memory.
