Great apartment, if only the weather had cooperated

We booked this charming apartment over the Christmas week. With better weather, this would have been the perfect location. The apartment was well equipped, and the owners are caring and conscientious people, who would do anything for you. Do not hesitate a moment to consider this place. The apartment is well located, very clean, easy walking distance to both the beach, restaurants, and the local shops.The apartment is all ceramic floors, and this would have been welcome in warm weather. You can buy all you need nearby, but for more exotic things, you can also walk the short distance to Amalfi (much more touristic, only recommended for a visit). The vegetable market was friendly and the owners of the shops sell you quality food. We ate very well and cheaply in Atrani, both in the restaurants and at home with the lovely food we purchased in the local stores. Atrani puts on a good show for Christmas. If the weather had not been raining 80% of the time, it would have been a glorious stay, with the fireworks and the multi-colored lights. But the rain unfortunately killed all desire to go out. Of course, it cleared the morning of our departure ;)

The pictures don't do this apartment justice. The apartment is two floors so there is a lot of space and it was very clean. The location couldn't be better. It is less than a 5 minute walk to restaurants, shops and the beach. Atrani a beautiful little village!

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

This apartment is the perfect base to explore the Amalfi coast and environs. It is very clean and the owner was very responsive to our needs. Atrani has general stores, a pastry shop, a butcher, fish monger and vegetable and fruit shop - all very well stocked and all only metres away from the apartment. The beach is very clean and the water is crystal clear. The best part of our 5 week visit was experiencing the welcoming people of Atrani.

Clean and comfortable apartment, run by caring and responsible people. Excellent location. Atrani truely is an undiscovered jewel of the Amalfi coast! Apartment has two bathrooms, though shower size in one of them is more suitable for a child and, as frequently happens in Italy, hot water supply lasts for one nice long shower. Then, one must wait 30 - 45 min until next batch of water is warmed up by the heater.. Three minutes walking to the sea and one minute to a very cute Atrani square full of restaurants and small shops. 10 to 15 min walk (either climbing steps up/down through the city or along a highway) to Amalfi. Best deal for the money on the Amalfi coast to my knowledge. Would recommend it to friends. Would give 4.5 out of 5 stars.

We were fortunate to spend 4 nights at this property in Atrani. Our group included 5 people ranging in age from 9 - 76 years old. We felt like we were living with the locals, it was very quaint and lovely. Only draw backs were the clock tower is very close and chimes every 15 minutes (after a few nights we starting getting used to this,) and parking was much further than 350 meters away, it was at least 10 - 15 minute walk. We visited in March and found the apartment cold in the evenings - would bring slippers and warmer PJ's next time. However, minor inconveniences, Dora was very accomodating and everything we needed was there, we would definately return again. Great proximity for visiting Amalfi (5 min walk.)
