If you're headed to Summit County, you'll want to consider this cozy home as the perfect location for your vacation. Especially if you have a larger party with varied interests - and if you don't want to be tied down to a single ski area.
You're close to Dillon 5min(movie theater located here) and Frisco for a wide variety of shops, restaurants and pubs. Nearby Silverthorne has a outlet mall with shops such as Columbia (all your ski clothing needs great prices) Ralph Lauren, Clearwater Creek, Ann Klien Sunglass hut etc... You do not have to spend the high prices at the resort shops if you do not want to. We have a Target a mile away and grocery about 3 miles away. Silverthorne Recreation Center 5 minutes away offers day passes for all sorts of fitness classes, swimming and planned activities. For those of you wanting to ski, the major ski areas are within a 20 minute drive or take the free bus that is 1/2 block away and will drop you at the ski resort of your choice (Keystone, A-Basin, Breckenridge, Copper and Loveland). Vail Resort is a short 30 minute drive. Frisco Nordic Center is nearby as well for those looking to cross-country or snow shoe.
Summer is not to be overlooked with its beautiful weather (the best in the country for this time of year in my opinion) endless offering of outdoor activities. And Gold Metal waters are nearby for fly-fishing enthusiasts.
