Vacation Rental: Located in the Western Catskills on a former dairy farm our 3 story converted 1800's Carriage House has large loft-style open spaces with high ceilings, artist designed & renovated with handcrafted furnishings and art throughout the house. Set on acres of meadows, wooded areas, organic flower & veggie gardens, a fishing/swimming pond, surrounded by mountains; this fully furnished home is ideal for your next vacation, romantic getaway weekend or gathering with friends & family. It's also the perfect spot for a country wedding, family reunions, or group retreats.

Special services include: Private yoga lesson, a Thai yoga massage, a picnic lunch with local wine & cheese, gourmet dinner, or jerk chicken bbq, all delivered right to you at the farm. And most of the ingredients will be organic & local! (additional fee)

Also on the property are 5 hens, 1 rooster and 2 outdoor cats, an Art Gallery (Turquoise Barn), & farmstand. Right across the street from the property is the scenic Delaware County Railroad Trail for biking/walking/running.

  • Four friends and I spent a snowy weekend at the Carriage House which was beyond cozy. I spent all night sleeping on a futon next to the wood burning stove! The accommodations and bedding are fabulous and the kitchen is a real "cook's kitchen". The owners were very friendly and easy to deal with. We had no issues at any stage. I would HIGHLY recommend the carriage house and encourage anyone seeking a retreat or more comfortable digs for skiing to consider it for their next trip.

  • The 6 of us spent a lovely weekend at Turquoise Barn. There was plenty of room for all of us. The fall foliage was breathtaking, the wood burning fire worked wonderfully, the kitchen was big enough for all of us to cook at the same time, and the cats, chickens, and pond added nicely to the country atmosphere. Highly recommended!

  • I absolutely loved my stay at this home! I hope to visit again very soon. The grounds were magnificent, including a pond, free-range chickens, apple trees, many varieties of wild flowers, organic vegetable garden, and stunning mountain scenery. The carriage house was as equally impressive, though built in the 1800s you’d never know the look and feel is cozy and certainly inviting. The layout is open, which lends to awesome natural lighting. It is tastefully decorated in modern country theme, with groovy, quiet, hidden areas throughout for reading, meditating or just napping. I highly recommend it, you will regret not staying at this home. I guarantee it.

  • Three couples spent the weekend at the Turquoise Barn. Although the sleeping space is very open, it worked out very well. We enjoyed the beautiful views from the house as well as a star filled evening by the fire out back. The house is also about an hours drive to Cooperstown and to a great white water river for tubing. We enjoyed the very unique space!

  • Really loved my stay here. The house was not the conventional country home but more like a two story artist loft space. But at the same time we very much felt as though we were in a idyllic natural environment . This is because of the use many windows in the home that overlook the pond, and surrounding landscape. We went in Summer so it was very lush and green. There are also the 2 lazy cats just laying about on the porch and the chickens strutting about outside which added to the country farm feel. The home itself has many of the artist's works tastefully displayed in the home and the work itself I found to be very beautiful as it also focussed on natural themes. There are artistic touches everywhere in the home which I really found to have fostered creative expression and energy in me, which is great because that's what I was needing. Also, the owners Michael and Michelle were really nice people who made themselves available to us if needed. We were also given a personal tour of their gallery and workshop nearby, which was really great. All in all, this is a great place to be inspired and rejuvenated.
