Balneario Camboriu is located in the State of Santa Catarina which is the leading southern Brazilian tourist state, due to its many scenic beaches, historical and cultural interest. Balneario Camboriu is an up and coming mid-size beach city that has been nicknamed "the Copacabana of the South of Brazil". Copacabana is Brazil's most famous beach, portrayed in movies everywhere, but unfortunately it has developed so many problems regarding violence that people decided to come more to the South of Brasil in search for beautiful scenic beaches that are totally safe and tourist friendly. Balneario Camboriu has a key location and by staying here you will be right by the beach front and if you are tired of the urban beach scene you can easily drive to many of the hundreds small secluded beaches that are right next to each other. Just a short drive away.
There are many things to explore around this area and for those who like an eco kind of trip there are some untouched forests and a perfect gondola ride to reach the top of a mountain where the view of the sea, beaches and forest is breathtaking.
Camboriu is a town that will please all sorts of travellers, different ages and tastes. It is the perfect place for honeymooners as well. At night the moonlight shines brightly illuminating the master's bedroom and that view is to die for.

Camboriu also has excellent amenities including shopping centers, restaurants (dining is excellent), internet easy access, cell phones, as well as many others. There are numerous secluded beaches nearby, and several historical villages within an easy drive.

The airport serving the city is named NAVEGANTES and there are daily flights from Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Also, it is possible to fly to another nearby airport located in the capital city of Florianopolis, which is about 50 miles.
