The Bolinas studio is a cute and modern, pet and child friendly studio, opened in May 2008. It is the downstairs of our ocean view home with its own parking, private entrance, private deck and easy access to the beach. The studio is nestled in a peaceful residential neighborhood and you can hear and smell the ocean from the private deck. The deck has garden view with a tree full of hummingbirds in spring and summer.

It is designed to be a low maintenance beach home where you can bring your pet(s). Our furniture are brand new and functional, including a very comfortable memory foam queen size bed, satellite TV, WiFi, all kitchen utensils, linens and towels. We have a brand new gas heating system which will keep you warm in the winter months.

The bright colors and exotic decoration makes the studio a charming and romantic getaway. Satellite TV with HBO, DVR player and Wifi are available. We are always happy to provide you with any information you may need to make your stay more enjoyable.

The studio is perfect for pets and their people, surfers, naturalists, singles and couples wanting a retreat, parents and their children, people in transition. It is available on weekends or for weeks and months as a temporary furnished rental.

• Amenities
  • Washer: Available for stay over one week.
  • Dryer: Available for stay over one week.
  • Linens Provided: We are happy to provide you with brand new linens and towels. Please bring your doggie bed or your own blanket if your dog sleeps with you.
  • Covered Parking: Parking is rare on this popular beach especially during summer weekends. The location of our home and parking will allow you to walk everywhere and have access to the beach and town.
  • Off Street Parking: We have an assigned parking space under our deck. The summer surfing crowd makes it very difficult to park on the street so you are guaranteed a prized parking space.
• Beds
  • Queen Bed: If you have not tried sleeping on memory foam, you will be pleased. The foam adjusts to your body and is very cushy and comfortable. Our bedding is always washed with hypoallergenic soap with no harsh chemicals or dyes.
  • Convertible Bed: This small couch unfolds into a full size bed suitable for a child or teen. While we are open to two kids, parents often find that the studio is very small for four people.

  • Cable/Satellite TV: We provide you with Dish network, HBO, DVR and TV5 Monde for the french speaking among you.
  • Music Library: The Dish network has music channels per category available at all times (Reggae, classical, rock, new age).
• Kitchen
  • Full Kitchen: Our kitchen has a four burner stove, all kitchen utensils and fridge. It is perfectly suited to bring your food and cook your meals on site. We also have a coffee pot, toaster and microwave. We provide gourmet coffee and teas as well as sugar, and basic condiments.

• Outdoor Features
  • Deck/Patio: This small enclosed patio is private. You can enjoy a drink or meal outside and smell and hear the ocean nearby. Your pets are safely enclosed by the fence and gate.
• View/Location
  • Beach View: You can see the ocean from the entrance to the studio but the studio itself has tree views. You can smell and hear the ocean if you sit outside on the deck to have relax.
• Communications
  • Free Long Distance: Most cell phones work on the property but if not, you can use our own phone if necessary.
  • WiFi (Wireless Internet): Bring your laptop.
• Other Amenities
  • Beach chairs, boogie boards, surf boards, beach towels.
• Suitability
  • Pet Friendly: We love pets and part of our mission is to raise funds for animals rescue organizations. We welcome up to two dogs or maybe even three depending on size. Just ask and we are very easy going. No "Well behaved dog test" necessary, but we discourage pit bull breeds because they have killed cats in our neighborhood and have usually been the one breed guilty of most trouble with other dogs on the beach.
  • Kid Friendly: We also love kids, especially seeing them enjoy the beach. Surfing lessons and wetsuit rentals are available nearby if your kids want to try the water. We provide boogie boards for kids. While we have tried to have two parents, two kids in the studio, most families found it too small, so a maximum of three people is probably ideal.
  • Smoking Not Allowed: Smoking is allowed outside. Be mindful of the high fire danger this season and dispose of your cigarette carefully. Cigarettes on the beach are not biodegradable. Always throw them away in trash.

  • Bolinas is an artist community and has ongoing art shows, community events at the community center weekly. It is also considered a great beginner surfing spot with a surf shop for lessons and rentals. Stinson Beach is 10 minutes away and Point Reyes 20 minutes away. The Bolinas Lagoon is one of the top bird migratory route and features Audubon Canyon Ranch where you can observe Egrets nesting. People who enjoy nature love this area for its wild quality.
