  First off let me say this is my fourth rental with VRBO and my sixth vacation to Gulf Shores we have always been pleased with our accomidations. The reason I picked this rental was because of the wonderful reviews , we were truely disappointed . The furniture was worn out long ago, there was sand on the futon where the bed spead that covers it had not been changed. The other sitting chair literally put a stain on the white shirt I had on when I sat down in it we covered it with a bed sheet . The room we stayed in on the way down was much larger than this so called sleeps 4 condo . The shower curtain had pink mold growing on it not just a spec but a four inch strip all the way acrossed the bottom . They furnished four towels one with a large black stain in two spots .There is a cleaning charge I feel that should be refunded the place was just plain dirty . It says second floor , well I have never had to go up three flights of steps to get to the second floor . If there is parking on ground level is the floor above, the first floor? I don't think so it is the second the condo is on the third. The mentioned in add balcony is not a balcony it is a walkway for row house you are in there is no balcony. Vacationers beware you can do much better. Other than the terrible place we stayed we had a good vacation . I know this review sounds very harsh I promise I am being truthful . I feel this place was totally misrepresented and like I have been cheated. So shame on you Laurel .

  Owner response: All guests are provided with my cell phone number and email address and are requested to contact me immediately with any problems that may arise while staying in our condo. You made no effort to contact me. If you had, I would have taken care of the issues at hand immediately. I spoke with my housekeeper regarding your claims. Because the guests who checked out the morning of your arrival trashed the unit, all linens, including the futon spread and shower curtain liner, had to be replaced. Although you did have more than four towels, had I known of the shortage in advance, my personal towels would have been left for you. Also, there was no spot on the recliner capable of staining your clothing. Our furniture is not worn out. It is in very good shape for a rental unit. And the other features of the unit are truthfully represented. You failed to read the full description. Upon your checkout, you failed to fulfill all provisions required for refund of your deposit. Also, the cleaning fee you paid was for cleaning up after you, not another party. All parties involved in the ownership and operation of this unit immediately recognized the ulterior motive behind your review. Future guests, please concentrate on the positive reviews, as those are the true representation of our business. And many, many thank you's to guests who have stayed with us on more than one occasion and to those who have given us great reviews. YOU are the reason why we share our beach home.

  My wife and I stayed for our 1 year anniversary and we really enjoyed it. We carried Angel our jack russell and she loved playing in the bay. The condo was very clean and well maintained. Laurel was very easy and pleasant to work with. Hope to stay there again.

  My husband and I had a great time. Wonderful location and near everything. Very clean and very easy dealing with the owner. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

  My husband, two teenage daughters, our shih-tzu, and I rented this condo for four nights between Christmas and New Year's. It was absolutely what we wanted -- super clean, cozy and comfy. We timed our walk to the shoreline -- it took under two minutes from the condo door. Such a wide, beautiful (and nearly deserted!) beach with soft white sand and just enough shells for interest. We rented movies at the nearby Redbox and enjoyed them cuddled up on the futon. The bed in the bedroom is phenomenally comfortable; I was sorry to get home to my own bed! The best place we ate was Cosmo's. Also liked Original Oyster House and whatever the pizza place was that's mentioned in the guest book. Laurel was so friendly and accommodating as we set up our contract, etc. Our entire experience was completely positive. We would absolutely stay here again, and we highly recommend you do the same, particularly if you are a pet owner and want to bring your little one with you.

  We had an amazing time; the condo has been updated since these pictures and has "great" location. We couldn't have asked for a better place, at a better rate! The bed was comfortable, along with the futon (which we fell asleep on watching TV) the kitchen is quite large for the size of the condo and we liked how easy it was to walk to Waves to get ice and treats!! Laurel is amazing; we were able to stay an extra night and then she allowed us another night for our honeymoon!! Not often you get "southern hospitality" like this anymore!! We had a couple come in for a night and they took hostage of our futon which they even had no complaints and Loved the LOCATION as well.. Merci Beacop Laurel!!Your New Orleanians!! A&A Straub

  I started my search for a 1 bedroom condo I found this Jem, we had the best time very nice efficiant priced just right. It was so nice just to walk across the street to the beach and be able to walk back to the condo if we had forgotten anything or just wanted to take a break from the sun. They were super nice and fast in responding to my emails, gave me great directions, and the bed is to die for. They have evrything you would need to stay.. I enjoyed every minute of it and would book it back anytime :)

  We had a wonderful time. The place was very clean and affordable. It's directly across the street from the beach, and 1 building down from a convenience store. It is in a great location for dining and night life. The bed was very comfy and the room was quiet. Perfect for sleeping in. AND, planning was easy. The owner is very very helpful and probably one of the nicest people i have worked with while planning a beach trip. She is prompt with responses and updates. i highly recommend this condo for anyone who likes a home away from home. we will definitely come back and stay another week... or two!

  The pictures for this condo doesn't do it justice! It is very spacious and has a wonderful view behind the futon. I LOVED waking up and walking out to the living room to see it. It also has the most comfortable bed and pillows I've ever slept on while on vacation. It felt like home and we felt very welcome there. Although the unit it across the street, the short walk was no longer than if we would have stayed at a place on the beach. You step out your front door, look to the left and see the ocean and to the right and see the lagoon. Also was very convenient to restaurants and shopping. If you're looking for suggestions about where to eat or spend your time her guest book was very helpful. Laurel was fun and easy to work with and very, very quick to respond. We hope to be back very soon!!

  This place was great! It was very affordable and super nice. In the past, I have always stayed directly on the beach but this is right across the street with a direct view of the beach (no condo blocking the view!) and no more of a walk than from some of the condos I have stayed in beachside. And did I mention how gorgous the beach was??? There were no jellyfish, seaweed, or OIL. In fact, on 2 morning we watched dolphins play no more than 75 yards off shore! They were so cute. The water was great! Trust me, if you stay here, you will not regret it! It is right in the middle of some great eating places and little home town groceries all around as well as great shopping. Very, very convenient!

• Refundable Damage Deposit: $100

• Tax Rate 11%

Cancellation policy:

50% of total is required at time of booking. Balance is due within 10 days of check-in date. House rules are posted in the unit. To receive a full refund, please see that all criteria are met at time of departure. PET OWNERS MUST CLEAN UP AFTER THEIR PETS. A grassy dog walk is provided at the north end of the complex. NO HOUSE PARTIES. If you are found to be in violation of this policy, you will be evicted immediately and will forfeit all monies.

100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
