We enjoyed staying at Olivier's cute apartment in the Marais. It was a perfect location, close to everything. This delicious apartment, in a small very well maintained 18th Century building, had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Very quiet, silent, and light with three huge windows, the apartment views on a green yard very quiet. It is easy walking distance to all major attractions and to the Metro - Saint Paul, Notre Dame, Louvre, the Marais, the Bastille, and several street markets---it is only 100 metres from the Seine. We will go back for sure! Overall, this apartment is an excellent value for your money and we would highly recommend it.

This was just what we were looking for. My mom and I stayed here and it was close to everything we needed and wanted as well as feeling apart of the neighborhood. Olivier was extremely helpful and wonderful to work with. I would defiantly go back and would highly recomend a stay here. The only down side was the stairs up, but we got used to it and they really weren't that bad.

We had a marvelous time and the location was fantastic! Our only suggestions for improvement would be to upgrade the bathroom with at least one towel rack and a small waste bin. A shelf on which to put toiletries would also help. Very quiet and delightful location--the local boulanger was extraordinary and the selection of food shops on Rue St Antoine were amazing. Nous aimons beaucoup Paris!

We stayed at this apartment for 5 nights with our 6 month old baby. It is in a fantastic location. We were able to walk most places we wanted to go and our baby loved playing in the park in Place de Vosges (only minutes walk away). The apartment worked well for us with our baby. We brought our own portacot that fitted in the bedroom beside our bed and the living area although small was perfect for our needs. The bathroom has a small bath which was also good for our baby. There was a special secure place to park the pram inside the courtyard and there was no noise at all in the evenings. The kitchen does not have an oven but this did not stop us from cooking dinners each night. It was great to have the free wi-fi too to do more travel planning from the sofa too. The only downside is that it is quite a dark apartment, minimal natural light and only lamps for artificial lighting. Not a problem though if you are not spending time during the day there. Would definitely recommend it to a couple or those with a small baby (not yet crawling). Would not be ideal for more people than this though.

We are now back in US, having had a wonderful vacation. We enjoyed our stay in your apartment very much . We had a fabulous week in Paris, and the apartment really contributed to our lovely stay. Your flat is in a wonderful location and if we go to Paris again we will contact you to see if it is available . We will certainly recommend it to friends who are planning a trip. Very charming, and superbly located. Logistics were seamless, and the apartment really lives up to its description!
Owner response:Thank you for your kindness. It was a pleasure to meet you at the apartment on check in day. You are always welcome !!!

This apartment on Rue Beautreillis was just right for our 30 day husband/wife vacation in Paris. Even up to the last day of our stay, we always felt good returning to the apartment after a day of ventures in and around Paris. As described in the VRBO listing, the unit is small. But the layout of rooms is good. We did not feel cramped. Luggage and belongings can be stored away in a very large closet, which aids in keeping things in order. The apartment and the settings match the info and pictures on the VRBO listing very well. Upon our arrival, the apartment was well cleaned. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, dinnerware and various tools and utensils. Through the entire process, from first contact, and also with financial transactions, owner Olivier responded quickly and professionally. The damage/security deposit refund had already been processed through Paypal when our plane arrived back in California -- only 18 hours or so after we left the apartment. The location of this apartment can't be any better. Literally, from building's front door, its turn left for 50 feet, left again for 100 feet, right for 200 feet and you will fall into the Sully-Morland Metro station staircase. It's a quiet station and riders go in other directions away from the apartment. Continue on another 300 ft or so beyond the station and you are on the banks of the Seine. In the early morning, the apartment's street is often void of cars and people. And most other times just a few pedestrians will be walking by. Passing cars are infrequent and there is no street parking in the area of the building entrance which is special for Paris. The building's grounds and entrance area are maintained well. Always clean and tidy. We are very happy we selected this particular apartment. As mentioned in reviews by others, the apartment is up three big floors from the ground by staircase only. But if you are in good enough condition be be walking around Paris and to handle the many stairways in the metro and museums, the apartment stairs shouldn't be inconsistent with the Paris adventure.
Owner response:Enter TextThank you so much for staying in my apartment. Thank you for your kind message. Your review will be very helpfull for others clients, as you have taken time to describe the apartment, the location and your own feedback. Thank you. Olivier

First off, be sure to note that in France, the first floor of a residence is up one floor above the ground. We arrived at our apartment in the 4th Arrondissement and found it to be exactly as portrayed in the ad. The large, heavy street doors protected by a numbered security system, then, inside the doors, a key operated security gate, leading to a delightfuly garden courtyard. Might have been nice to have a bench there to sit and enjoy it, but still very relaxing view. Then, being on the 3rd floor (4th floor up), we trudged up 67 stairs. The apartment is furnished adequately, and modestly attractive. There is WiFi with a strong signal and easy hook-in. The queen size bed was comfortable enough and had sufficient blankets, however, we were there for 2 weeks - it would have been nice to have a fresh change of linens. Same with towels - only 3 bath towels and a couple face towels provided. Hardly enough for 2 people for 2 weeks. On vacation I don't expect to have to wash linens and towels. The TV works, but the cable box was very hard to maneuver and several times we were stuck on channels and couldn't change them. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom, however, no outlet. The only other mirror is in the bedroom, at head level for a taller person. I did replace a couple light bulbs that were out when we arrived, but there was a halogen bulb in the bathroom that I didn't want to fuss with so it remained out for our stay. Overall, the place was very quiet, and the location was excellent. We were within walking distance of the Metro - Sully Morland - and just a bit further to the Metro - Bastille. Steps from St. Antoine and Rivoli. So transport, food, and shopping were very close. For the price, we got pretty much what we could afford and expected (except for the 4th floor location that we thought would be 3rd). The landlord was pleasant, but does not stay on premises. I did call him once and did not get a return call, but that might have been my own unfamiliarity with calling in France. Overall, a reasonable accomodation for the price.

An excellent location on a quiet street in the Marais--conveniently close to the Seine, to the Place des Vosges, and to the Metro. The building and apartment are both nice and well-maintained. One of my favorite Parisian restaurants, Vins des Pyrenees, is just down the street. The landlord is kind, thoughtful, and super-efficient! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

We have rented several apartments in Paris over the years and this one was quite satisfactory. The description in the listing is accurate, the condition of the apartment clean and well-maintained, and the owner was very responsive and helpful. We particularly appreciated the location, close to the river and the Metro, walking distance to many major attractions, restaurants and stores. We would consider staying here again or recommending it to friends or relatives.

We had an excellent 8 night stay at this property. It was our first time using VRBO and we were pleased with how easy it was. Olivier was prompt and professional in his responses to us. The security deposit was returned promptly. The apartment is very much as described, the photos are accurate, it was clean, well maintained and well equipped for simple meal preparation. The location is excellent being on a small quiet side street but close to shopping, cafes, the Seine and many sights. My only complaint would be that we found the bed too firm by North American standards. It would be improved by having a "pillow top"
Owner response:Thank you Damian and Judi . I am happy you had a great stay in my apartment. I hope to see you again in Paris. Kind Regards.

"We have just returned from a week at the Beautrellis apartment. The apartment was exactly as advertised, and we would highly recommend it. From our initial inquiries to our departure, Olivier was professional and gracious, providing us with all the information we could possibly need. The apartment is clean, comfortable and exceptionally quiet – the latter a first for us after many other trips to Paris. It was the perfect spot to return "home" to after a day on the go. It is less than 2 minutes walk to the metro, Seine, shops, charcuteries, cafés and restaurants. Thank you Olivier!"

I stayed in the apartment for several weeks while I was studying in Paris. I was very impressed with the location (in a safe, picturesque neighborhood only a block from a Metro station and the Seine), the amenities (The apartment included many cleaning products and kitchen supplies that I used throughout my stay), and the decor (it's just an adorable apartment!). Olivier was eager to help and provided a nice guidebook to the neighborhood and apartment facilities. Just down the street were grocery, laundry, and clothing stores. The apartment was everything I needed. I highly recommend it!
Owner response:Thank you very much to you, it was a pleasure to welcome you in Paris. Thank you for taking care of my apartment, during your long stay in it. Hoping to meet you again. Kind Regards. Olivier.

This is a wonderful property! The location is fantastic - in a residential neighborhood but a few minutes walk to Metro and shopping. A truly wonderful location ideal for exploring all that Paris has to offer. So many sites within walking distance and metro nearby. And after a day of touring the sites there is a extremely comfortable bed to get a good nights sleep. We had a truely memorable holiday at this wonderful apartment. The owner is very nice. He was very helpful to us. Thanks Olivier! We'll be back.

Hello Olivier, Yes the shortbread was a Christmas present from us. We enjoyed our stay very much in your apartment in Paris - went to midnight mass at Notre Dame and the ballet on Christmas Day. Thanks again. We will have a look at your website in the hope of having more exciting trips to France (Your apartments in Paris, in Bordeaux and your villa in Dordogne-Perigord)! (Did you know it is very difficult to get your CD and DVD player to work. We failed but still enjoyed the radio and the peace and quiet!) Yours, Marguerite G

We quite enjoyed our stay in the apartment, which was small, but cute. It was extremely quiet, which made for a good night's sleep after each day exploring Paris. The location was ideal, being very close to 2 different Metro lines, and walkable distances to many great sights in the Marais district and beyond. We are only sorry we didn't get to meet you personally, Olivier! We highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a place to stay in Paris.

Dear Olivier: Thanks for being very kind to allow us to check-in early on our arrival date! We have enjoyed our one week’s stay in your lovely apartment in an excellent location for exploring Paris. Good local shopping and restaurants. We love the very Parisian decoration of this apartment and the apartment is very quite and comfortable. Merci Olivier for the wonderful stay at your beautiful and cozy Marais apartment! You are right, the location is perfect. My daughter and I love how quiet and peaceful the building is, especially after a typical day and night of adventure in Paris. We also love how there are 3 metro stops within minutes of your place, (Sully- Morland, St. Paul and Bastille), which makes visits to attractions and museums so much easier. The corner cafe at Rue de Cerisaie and Rue de Petit Musc and the lovely Patiserie directly across the street from it were the best way to start every morning. Additionally, all the lovely shops on St. Antoinne, less than a 5 minute walk from your apartment made shopping for a few meals in your well stocked apartment fun and easy. We so enjoyed meeting you, and appreciate how warmly you welcomed us and helped us feel right at home. I am pleased to recommend your apartment to visitors who want personal, friendly attention, a clean, cozy, and comfortable place to stay in the prettiest part of Paris. ~Lisa Gottlieb Ann Arbor, MI USA

I apologies for the glasses we broke, I tried my best to keep everything in order, but sometimes, with the little one it hasn't been easy. Don't worry about that charger we left, I'll get a new one next time and it's ok for the champagne too. It's sounds like a very good deal! I will be contact you again whenever we are ready to plan the next trip to Paris. I miss it already... Dear Olivier, Before to much time has passed, I wanted to tell you how much my friend Cathy and I enjoyed the Place des Vosges apartment on rue Beautreillis. The location was perfect for a first visit to Paris. We began each morning with a stop at the boulangerie downstairs (what a great place) before walking for hours all over the city. A couple of blocks in one direction and you are at the Pompidou Centre or the Bastille, a couple of blocks in another direction and it's Notre Dame and the Left Bank. A few minites walk and you can explore the amazing hardware department at BHV, or the Picasso Museum, or the Louvre. The apartment itself was lovely and comfortable for 2 guests. Another week, and we would have ventured out to more restaurants, but as it was, the local fromageries and markets were enough! The rental was quite easy and straightforward, and thank you for carrying the heavy bags full of confitures and chocolats down. I would be happy to stay here again--thank you, and feel free to post this, and my email address for those who might have questions. Take care. Pamela Laing

Olivier, We again had a woderful time in Paris, in spite of the weather. The apartment was great. It was our first time staying in an apartment, and we plan to do it again. I left the linens in the bathroom and the keys on the table. I left yogurt and an unopened container of milk in the refrigerator (as well as an opened bottle of wine). I thought of throwing them out, but could not carry all down by nyself, in addition to my luggage. Merci beaucoup et au revoir, Jacqueline
