DESCRIPTION

For those who want to enjoy a nice vacation in the Center of Paris, with major attractions at their doorstep, cafes, bars, typical Parisian groceries, boulangeries, open air markets etc..., and still remain at a budget, this apt. is the way to go.

The Butte Montmartre is the artsy place of Paris, a "village in the Center of Paris", a safe and quiet area, pedestrians having priority , and car traffic being restricted during week-ends, while a special security care is given to this major attraction in Paris, with more than 8 million visitors/year.

Since it is on a steep hill, it stands like an island off neighboring areas, being known since centuries as the "Artsy Place of Paris", the place of Picasso, Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec, Utrillo and most of the greatest French artists, with a rich history of ancient typical Parisian buildings in tiny cobble stoned streets.

On the 2nd Floor ( 3rd Floor US count ) of an ancient stone building, the apt was just entirely renovated and upgraded. It has a living room, with a pull out sofa and a bedroom with a full size bed, a kitchenette with microwave, a shower and a WC.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD:

A village without a market place would not be a village, so, yes, around the corner you'll dive right into the rue Lepic-Abbesses open air market ambiance. From the tiny terrace of the Caves de Montmartre you will enjoy the animation, while drinking your glass of wine from a barrel. Later, in the evening, there is a tiny “secret” bar in the back of the shop, with a genuine “atmosphere montmartroise,” where you can enjoy a plateau de fromages with your favorite wine.... and this is just one out of the thousands of possibilities to have fun here !

  • I had a fantastic time in Paris. This apartment was very convenient to local bakeries, fruit and vegetable stands and to the metro. All in all I loved the location, the convenience and the price.

    This property could hardly be more convenient to markets, public transportation, and many of the most exciting sights in Paris, but it is also in the heart of one of the most vital neighborhoods in the city (just 100 meters from "AMELIE's" cafe, in fact)--yet it is on a quiet side street with no traffic. What more could you ask? The staff at USAPARIS is prompt and cooperative and the phone and car service they offer is first-rate. We look forward to staying in one of their rentals on our next visit to the city.
