Great Gulf views from this 5 bedroom masterpiece! Beach Blessing ! 5 bedroom, 4 Bathrooms. 2 Kings, 2 Queens, 2 twins, 1 sleeper sofa. 2 Community pools, 50 yards to beach access, gulf views. Located in Seagrove Beach. 3000 sq ft. Beach Blessing is a 5 bedroom, 4 bath home designed to sleep 10. It is perfect for 2 families or a group of friends, featuring two large master suites (each > 400 sq ft) – one on the first and one on the third floor. Both master suites open onto large decks with views of the gulf. All in all, there are 2 king beds, 2 queen beds, 2 twin beds and 1 queen sleeper sofa in the first floor master bedroom. Rooms feature travertine stone floors, beautiful rugs, plantation shutters, window treatments and elegant yet relaxed décor. The living area on the second floor is open with a large gourmet kitchen (granite, stainless appliances, fully equipped), dining area to seat 12, and a lovely family room with large deck and gulf views. The family room and both master suites have TV/VHS/DVD/CD players, and in-ceiling speakers provide music throughout most of the house. All bedrooms and living room have ceiling fans. House comes with a charcoal grill. Summers Edge is just 1.8 miles from the town of Seaside, located halfway between Destin and Panama City. The community is just minutes away from shopping, restaurants and many other activities in Seaside, Watercolor, Rosemary Beach, Destin and Panama City. There are great bike paths, lakes and state parks, not to mention the Beach, nearby to provide plenty of outdoor activities.                             I grew up going to this area of Florida and have stayed at a wide range of condos and homes. As far as location goes, this is a really good locale. Close to Seaside/Water Color and shopping is convenient. Not surprisingly, the inside of the house shows its age and wear. The cleaning service left quite a bit to be desired. Sand on the floors, previous tenants dishes left in bedroom. Tile floors didn't appear to have been mopped. The master suite is large but the master closet is poorly designed and way too small...we had to hang clothes in the bathroom closet. The gulf view from the Master deck is awesome...in the summer, you don't get the sunset view the VRBO shows you but it is a top feature of this home. For a home that is not gulf front, you get a really good view due to the 3rd floor deck and the adjoining property homes are only 2 levels. The house is wired with a very nice speaker system througout but the entertainment system components are outdated (they actually have a VHS) and the DVR (cable) makes a constant humming noise that you eventually get used to but was annoying. The kitchen is well stocked but didn't have the basics like dish towels or pot holders. The grill is old but works fine...buy or bring a wire brush to clean off the grill...no grill cleaning tools are provided. The walk to the beach is a little deceiving...it appears that you can walk out the back of the house and go directly to the beach access right behind the house but there is no access to the adjoining private property behind the house...you have to wind your way through the neighborhood trail to get to the Summers Edge Beach access. Still not a bad walk but longer than it appears. The house does not come with a beach chair set up so be prepared to rent chairs or bring your own. There are no beach chairs or supplies at the house. For families with tweens and teens there is not much to do other than beach and pool. You can rent bikes but its a pretty good ride to Seaside on busy 30-A. Parking is tight...3 cars max. Pool is right there...not large but adequate. NOTE: Upon arrival, avoid going to Publix on Saturday evening or Sunday morning...it's a nightmare. If you must get basics, take one or two of your group, grab the small baskets and get in the Express Checkout...lines were down the aisles for the customers trying to get theIr weeks supplies. Overall I'd say great location but an average house / value for the weekly rate we paid.

                            Recommended for: Families with young children.

                          About: We live in Marietta, GA when not enjoying ourselves at Beach Blessing. 2 children and a black lab keep us busy. The oldest (not pictured) is in college in New Orleans.

                          Why Summer's Edge:
                          We stayed in the neighborhood as renters and loved everything about it; proximity to the beach / pool / walk or bike ride to Seaside. Once we saw the views of the gulf from the porches, we had to have the house.

                          The Unique Benefits at this House:
                          We love the fact that one of the two pools is basically outside our front door. Because we are 'off 30A', the kids can ride bikes without having to deal with the traffic. The short walk to the beach is a major plus as well.
