My husband and I spent nearly 6 weeks at the condo this winter and could have stayed 6 months. The condo is very well laid out, well equiped and feels like home. The location could not be better, the people are very friendly and we loved shopping at the local stores for our necessities. We did not need a vehicle since we were only a ten minute walk from the bus stop where the local buses run every ten minutes and cost less than $2.00 to go to Puerto Vallarta. During most of our visit, we were practically the only people around so the ground floor unit felt like we had our own large patio, pool and outdoor kitchen overlooking the beach. We always felt very safe while walking for hours on the beach, going back and forth to the restaurants, shops, village squares and bus stop even at night. We had friends join us for two weeks and they loved the place as well. We did have a few minor issues related to local building standards ie the occasional odor from drains but Juan (caretaker) was always ready to assist and give advice. What do we miss now that we are back home?.... the door to door merchants bringing inexpensive shrimp three times a week, the fisherman's co-op a two minute walk away where we could always pick up fresh fish, Antonio and the great staff at the Enclote restaurant, the wonderful people we met who own or rented the other units in the complex, long walks on the beach... You have your own piece of Nirvana - thank you Sidney for all your help and for sharing. We will be back.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

A great alternative to a resort or urban condo experience! This luxuriously large condo in this sleepy little Mexican fishing village boasts modern amenities including a to-die-for kitchen, a huge living room area ringed by couches, its own laundry room, surprisingly comfortable beds, two private bedrooms ( rather than on-top of each other) and the master bedroom has a cozy bath suite to rival a fine hotel. The building is meticulously cared for, clean, private and secure. We opened the sliding glass doors out to the pool in the mornings to catch the cool breezes coming off the bay, and keeping all the windows open with the fans kept us plenty comfortable. A short walk to the beach, and as many as 15 wonderful restaurants within a few blocks ( including traditional mexican, pizza and the amazing high-end Cafe des Artistes..foodies will be very happy here), and with many friendly locals and expats who will indulge your limited Spanish language skills. Birdwatchers will be thrilled by the frigate birds, pelicans, turkey vultures (!), and sea birds which fly over the pool, and the morning songbirds serenade you with lovely tunes foreign to non-tropical ears. We used our boat trip ( look for Rudi) to see a pod of 10 whales, but could also have gone snorkeling or fishing. Watching the surfers is great fun, but so is playing in the waves yourselves! It's easy to relax and feel pampered here, even if you never leave the condo ( which of course you will!). A day trip to Puerto Vallarta ( a 40 minute drive) is great for shopping and people watching, but made us happy we had decided to stay in the more laid-back village. Hang out here for a few days and you actually get to know some of the locals...buy FANTASTIC avocados and fresh tortillas at the local "mini-super", or fresh caught red snapper right off the boat, and you are in for a treat... tequila and beer are also readily available if you want to have your own happy hour, or enjoy a perfectly made margarita in one of the many beachfront restaurants. My husband and I met up with our adult son here, while he was biking through Mexico. It was a perfect way for all of us to share both some respite and an adventure together!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This extra large ground floor condo provided us beauty, convenience, privacy and security. We contracted a whale-watching boat just down the beach. Not far from there, we met the local fisherman's reasonable price for a nice ElDorado for supper, easily prepared on the outdoor grill. Went from our gate to waves in seconds. Ease of access invited leisurely strolls on the beach or to shops and restuarants. Enjoyed the color and charm of Mexican village life. We liked just watching the surf from poolside too. Went back last year, and are going again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Punta Mita is a quintessential small Mexican town, just north of the tourist trap of Puerto Vallarta. The locals are extremely friendly, its very easy to get around and the condo provides a safe, easy and perfect home base. The condo is walking distance to restaurants, boating outfitters, a fish market surf breaks and of course, the beach. It has ample space (larger than we expected actually), new appliances, excellent facilities, WiFi and even a US phone line. The ability to make use of the pool, hot tub and outdoor grill were a great bonus and made it feel like the entire place was our own. We will most certainly return as soon as we can!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our trip to Punta de Mita was our first to the area. Like every vacation to a new place, you do not know exactly what you are getting into until you are there. This place is amazing, such a good surprise. It is a small complex of 12 units usually only 2 or 3 are being used at any given time. This unit in particular is right on ground level and the bigger of the two ground level units. During our stay we felt like the whole complex was ours, and could not get over how this was the perfect rental. Very safe and well managed, i really can not think of one negative aspect to the place. If you want to experience small town Mexican lifestyle, and a complete break from any sort of tourist traps, this is the perfect place. Really i cant say enough about how awesome this place is.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
